This week Star Plus is finally airing the Star Parivaar Awards’s 15th anniversary. They invited anyone and everyone who was ever connected to the channel and was part of the big family
From what we heard, several invites for Star Parivaar Awards 2015 didn’t reach the recipients on time and hence they couldn’t make to the grand celebration. While we saw several stars from yesteryear shows there were many who missed it.
Here’s a list of stars we wished would have made it to the soiree
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi: The longest running daily soap is iconic, not for its content but for having the biggest family ever. Smriti Irani was the face of the show and somehow we hoped that after running successfully for about eight years she’d make an appearance on 15th anniversary, but alas!
Kaahin Kissii Roz: Mouli Ganguly and Sudha Chandran played saas-bahu in this one. With the amount of twists and turns in the show we were sure it would get the Guinness World record for it. The show was definitely put Yash Tonk, Mouli on the map, sad that none of them made it to the anniversary of the awards.
Baa Bahoo Aur Baby: It was an iconic show in all sense of things. The producer and writer of the show – Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia made an appearance. It would have been to see the entire cast get together for a sort of reunion, no?
Navya: Soumya Seth’s first show really struck a chord with viewers until it hit a roadblock. The lead actor Shaheer Sheikh took time out from his busy schedule but Soumya was nowhere to be seen. The actress has been off the radar for some time now.
Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii: It would have been interesting to see Kiran Karmakar, Sakshi Tanwar and Ali Asgar get together. With so much time gone by they all look very different from the Kahaani days. This would have been a good occasion for them to meet and greet, guess some wishes just don’t come true.
Saraswatichandra: It was nice to see Jennifer Winget on the red carpet making her presence felt. However Gautam Rode gave the awards night a miss. It would have been nice to see the onscreen couple walk the red carpet together like the couple from Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.
Tere Liye: Harshad Chopda and Anupriya Kapoor became the most talked about couple. The couple stayed off work for the longest time. Harshad was recently seen in Humsafars and Anupriya is currently acting in Warrior High. Ever since the show got over, the two have never come together for anything. Frankly, we weren’t really expecting the couple to show up for the event either.
Saans: This was one of the earliest shows on Star Plus and the makers had beautifully portrayed a married relationship, extra marital affair and the equation between family members. Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh did some more shows after that for Star. In spite of the continued relationship with the channel the duo were not seen on the red carpet.
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon: We don’t really have to say how popular this show was when it was on air and after it ended. In fact, the onscreen couple Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti were one of the most popular couples of the channel. Barun is busy with his movies and Sanaya, well no one has a clue as to what is she keeping herself occupied with this year. People were looking forward to see the couple at the awards night and even do a performance, but guess we had high hopes.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Usually Shweta Tiwari is seen in almost all events but the 15th anniversary of Star Parivaar Awards didn’t figure in her must do lists. Kasautii was the show that put her on the map. Neither Shweta nor Ronit Roy or Cezanne Khan came for the grand celebration.
