The actor expressed his admiration for her through a series of Tweets
Sadhana Shivdasani was one of the most beautiful and talented actresses of her times. Her demise yesterday has been mourned by the whole of Bollywood many of whom grew up watching her films. Actor Aamir Khan also took to Twitter to express his admiration for the late actress. The actor said that he was one of her greatest fans and would remain so till his dying day. Other B-Town celebrities like Karan Johar, Anupam Kher, Shruti Haasan and Anushka Sharma also paid their respects to the actress on the micro blogging site.
The actress’ career was a highly successful one. She was one of the highest-paid actresses of her time along with Nanda and Vyjanthimala. Some of her successful films include Shree 420, Love In Simla, Hum Dono, Ek Musafir EK Hasina, Woh Kaun Thi and Waqt. She was twice nominated for the Best Actress Award for Waqt and Woh Kaun Thi. The latter is regarded as one of the best horror-suspense films of its times.
Sadhana was suffering from health issues from a really long time. She died after a prolonged battle with cancer. The Mere Mehboob actress was detected with a cancerous lesion in her mouth, which was successfully removed through surgery. She underwent treatment in Boston for her condition. The lady was reportedly admitted to the Hinduja Hospital but passed away at her residence on Christmas Day.
Bollywood will remember her as a great actress and a trend-setter when it came to fashion. Her Sadhana cut is popular till date and she also popularized the tight churidhar kurta.
