Akshay Kumar’s New Year treat is all set to scorch over 500 screens overseas….
Akshay Kumar is set to start the New Year with a bang with his political thriller, Airlift! After watching its teaser and poster we are sure that this film will be kickass with some classic Akshay Kumar-like stunts and awesome sauce narrative. Akshay will be seen in a garb of a Kuwait-based businessman Ranjit Katyal who is instrumental in evacuating about one lakh Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 gulf war.
The film also stars Nimrat Kaur who will play Akshay’s love interest in the film. The film will have a massive release in India as well as abroad as it will hit around 500 screens abroad. The film will surely give you goosebumps, we are sure. The film is set to release on January 22, just before the Republic Day.
In 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Expatriate Indians living in both countries were evacuated between August 13 and October 11 on board Indian Airlines flights, the government having tried and abandoned the use of military aircraft because of problems in getting airspace clearance.
