Amitabh has played a variety of characters over the span of years of his career including an Alzheimer’s ridden sign language teacher, a progeric 14 year old kid, a Jinn and so on.
One genre that he gave a miss is a sports-film. He has never played a sports person or done a sports movie. Seeing Amitabh Bachchan as an athletic sport star, giving those uplifting pep talks in a locker room might have been the sexiest sight for the fans. And more over if it was a movie based on cricket, a sport that has the cult status of a religion in our country, the movie would have had a standing like Sholay.
