The two Oscar-winning B-towners have joined hands and have taken it upon themselves to creatively inspire social networkers
“Every human being is born with an inherent desire to create,” says Shekhar Kapur while introducing Qyuki.com, to the world of social networking. On the site that Kapur has founded along with friend AR Rahman, you can find stories, pictures and songs that people want to share with others. “It came from my fear of becoming a dinosaur,” Kapur revealed. And the site has inputs from creative geniuses from across genres, such as Imtiaz Ali, Chetan Bhagat, Ranjit Barot and Suresh Natrajan, who have written on various aspects of filmmaking, music, novel writing and photography.
According to the buzz, Qyuki was all set to go live on May 2012 with a team of 25 people employed in the Bengaluru office. One of world’s largest technology companies Cisco Systems has bought stake worth Rs 27 crores in Qyuki while Kapur holds 17% in this social media platform.
