When Shah Rukh Khan starts talking about women, he can just go on and on. There’s so much respect he holds for women that he just instantly becomes more attractive for this nature of his. With his upcoming film, Dear Zindagi that revolves around Alia Bhatt and with the director being Gauri Shinde, Khan reasons out on why he likes working with women. He has some really good insights on why he thinks women understand and are able to emote better. This is not his first time that he has worked with a woman director and perhaps its his past experiences that make him state why he finds working with woman, rather enjoyable. In an interview with a leading entertainment daily, Khan stated that women add a different sensibility to cinema.
“I’ve always enjoyed making films with women directors. I think their sensibility is a little effeminate.I use this word because I see men around who are also like that, perhaps including myself. You don’t need to be effeminate physically; it’s just the sensitivity that’s there. I’ve been brought up that way and I believe that the harshest and toughest of women have the gentlest of hearts,” states the actor. Two things to notice here, one is that men don’t usually accept their effeminate side but Khan here cares a damn. He is quite honest and its very much visible. Second is how men tend to look down upon women but Shah Rukh is all praises! He states that he does enjoy their way of functioning and also lauds his Dear Zindagi director. Having a tremendous experience in the field of cinema, when Shah Rukh compliments a person, it definitely is a big deal! And right now, Gauri Shinde might be dancing in her head with the compliments Khan has poured in for her! You’ve gotta admit, the way the 51 year old actor understands women is something you won’t find in many Bollywood stars. Not only does he understand them but also knows how to make them feel loved. In a recent interview, he even stated how he might be a babe in the woods when it comes to romance onscreen but cannot do the same offscreen. His idea of romance is poles apart from what he portrays in his films.
Dear Zindagi is slated to release on November 25, i.e. this Friday. Lot of people are still under the impression that Khan has a very big role in the film but that’s not the case. Turns out it’s Alia, who is the protagonist of the film. With a caliber we’ve already witnessed, will Miss Bhatt be able to charm her fans or will Khan steal her thunder?
