Yeh Hai Mohabbatein‘s lead actor Karan Patel might be infamous for his bad ass attitude but back home he is a doting daddy and a loving husband. Wondering why did we call him daddy ? Well it’s because they treat their pet dog, Naughty, as their son. His wife, Ankita Bhargava, often refers to him in her Instagram posts as Naughty Patel, their first born or their son.
Karan was not always an indulgent dog lover. It was after his marriage to Ankita Bhargava last year that he became fond of dogs. For those who don’t know, Ankita had two dogs and two kittens before marriage. She has always been an ardent dog lover and is also associated with an NGO, which takes care of stray dogs. After marriage they adopted a chocolate-brown Labrador pup. An excited Ankita announced the news on her account with a caption.. “We got ‘NAUGHTY’! Yeah… Dats what we r gonna call our Lil baby boy! NAUGHTY”

They brought him when he was just 50-days old and now he is a big boy. One year has passed and these three have become inseparable. Karan’s bond with Naughty has only become stronger. While Ankita is the one who gets to spend more time with the dog, she has confessed it many times on Insta that their pet is more close to Karan. She calls him ‘Papa ka chamcha or Papa ka ladla.’
Karan doesn’t get much time with him because of his professional engagements but whatever time he stays at home he spends it with Naughty. Karan once said in a statement, “I’d love my pet Naughty to know how special he is to my life. He is my jaan. One more thing I want to tell him is that he has the best life in the world. Sometimes, I wish I could swap my life with him — he gets to sleep whenever he wants and enjoys life without having to slog it out!”
