Looks like the demonic conspirators behind the supposed Doomsday have bowed down before Bollywood’s real superstar Salman Khan and his unimaginable stardom
Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 is releasing tomorrow, the same day when the world is supposed to come to an end (according to the ancient Mayan calendar and some hypothetical scientific mumbo-jumbo theories).
And as we write this piece, just a day before that momentous event (both for Sallu’s blockbuster release and for the well-being of us the lesser mortals, of course!) we see no signs of such calamity approaching us. The skies are absolutely clear and perfectly sunny. There are no comets showering upon us, neither there are Tsunamis threatening to wash away our happy cities, nor do we expect volcanoes erupting or the earth quaking for no rhyme or reason. Has Doomsday been postponed for Salman’s Dabangg 2, one wonders! Given Sallu’s humungous popularity, it seems that even the evil superpowers who engineered this hypothetical Doomsday have decided to cancel the catastrophic event.
We have our own filmi way of looking at this whole affair. The world is coming to an end (at least, it was supposed to!) because of the degenerative phase that we are going through. Everything has reached its tipping point-right from our moral degradation to social disharmony and from corruption in our political system to the economic crunch. In these crisis-ridden times, Sallu is seemingly emerging as Kalki, the apocalyptic figure, who will be here to destroy the evil and restore the balance by saving good people. And that’s what Sallu’s Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg 2 stands for, no?
