These Bollywood babes were spotted at their stylish best at the Stardust Awards 2013
Decent number of stars turned up at the Stardust Awards 2013. But what came as a pleasant surprise to us is the amount of cleavage show that took place on the red carpet. From Anushka Sharma to Rakhi Sawant, most of these chicks went ballistic with their choices. And the actors who really stood out were the ones who don’t exactly belong to the A-list category. Except for Anushka Sharma, whoever made a cleavage-revealing statement, is not exactly a big name in the industry. But fortunately, it was an aesthetic fest of sorts, ‘coz none of them looked vulgar and they carried themselves off beautifully.
Our personal favourites were Monica Dogra and Shahana Goswani who are swanning in gorgeous floor-length gowns. While Monica showed off her navel in that pastel Narendra Kumar creation, RA.One babe Shahana opted for a classy Carmen Marc Volvo. We liked Richa Chadda’s dress which had a rather unusual neckline. Mugdha lagged behind in the style race in the mediocre dress, huge shiny earrings and the bright red purse – too jarring!
While everyone made an awesome Oscar-type statement, Aditi Rao Hydari was dressed as if she’s going to a night club in that bling outfit. Rakhi Sawant’s ‘I am going to attack you’ body language failed to do justice to that funky dress. Bipasha Basu looked spectacular in that Gucci gown and she added a desi touch to it with an intricate neckpiece. We loved the bright colour – so not award types, but still she fit the occasion perfectly. Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt failed to impress. Alia’s petite frame didn’t do justice to the strapless white gown and Sona’s off-shoulder choice didn’t have the potential to create a ‘aaaah, super lovely dress’ moment. Last but not the least, Anushka Sharma played it safe in a ruffled Armani black dress. Nice…not bad…not that amazing either…
