Wishing one of B-town’s most successful producers a very happy birthday and all the luck for his directorial debut
Born on February 18,1966, Sajid Nadiadwala turns 47 today. The producer has never been busier in his entire life, as three of his films are set to go on floors this year, of which he is directing one too, so it’s more like a working birthday for the debutant director!
Sajid has come a long way from being an assistant in his uncle’s company to establishing one of the most successful production houses in Bollywood, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment! He started out as a producer with Zulm Ki Hukumat in 1992, and some of his biggest hits include Jeet, Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and more recently, Housefull. Now, with the Salman Khan starrer Kick that he is directing, Sajid is all set to turn over a new leaf. By roping in some of top technicians from Hollywood like cinematographer Alexander Witt who has worked on the latest Bond flick Skyfall, the shrewd producer that Sajid is, he’s leaving nothing to chance! And sure, he has seen ups and downs, both in his professional as well as personal life, but he has always bounced back with tremendous enthusiasm, which is visible in the kind of movies he is associated with.
With a strong support system which is made up of friends like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, both of whom Sajid works with regularly, the producer-director has very little to be apprehensive about. And now in his 47th year, Sajid only has greater successes to look forward to!
