The veteran actor has decided to glam up the second installment of her film festival by hosting a polo match
Sharmila Tagore is the ideal bridge between cinema and royalty. The veteran actor, who was married to the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, has almost lived a perfect life. She has contributed her bit towards cinema, while also shouldering responsibilities as the better half of the Nawab of Pataudi.
And she continues to do so. As far as cinema is concerned, last year, the ex-censor board chief launched the Seven Islands International Film Festival. And the royal connect at the festival this year, which is being held in London, will be a classy polo match that she plans to host.
The odd, yet exciting combination came to be when Sharmila missed hosting the annual polo tournament called The Pataudi Club owing to the horses falling ill. And so, with the support of her entire family including Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan, Sharmila will be merging the two events. And since the debut of her film festival was clearly a success with 45 films from 18 countries being screened and a host of lively discussions taking place, this year too seems like it will end on a high note. While the festival will be held in London, the polo match will be played in New Delhi as well as London, making the entire exercise a rather exciting one!
The festival commences on September 14, and we wish the veteran actor all the best, and hope this year too she manages to pull off a good show!
