Naeem Khan made his debut at the Lakme Fashion Week 2013 on Saturday, March 23. Khan has created outfits for the likes of US First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Leslie Mann, et al. Quite a big name in Hollywood, Naeem has also started featuring in the glitzy style books of Bollywood babes. Deepika Padukone has created a furore on the red carpet by sporting sexy NK gowns. And Sonam Kapoor – of course – the style diva has carried that signature Khan style with femininity and grace.
Naeem Khan’s collection at LFW was a mix of two styles. While some outfits were plain and simple and justified his love for playing around with black and white, the focus in his other creations was the sophisticated detailing on the bodice. The multi-hued gown was quite a statement – it was as if a live rainbow had rearranged itself into a wacky pattern and taken human form on the catwalk.
