The veteran singer was felicitated by her sister Lata Mangeshkar with a Lifetime Achievement Award
It was a rather heartening moment for the Mangeshkar family on Sunday night as one of the legendary siblings, Asha Bhosle was felicitated with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to the world of music.
The singer was presented with the Pandit Hridaynath Lifetime Achievement Award by her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar in a ceremony held at Tilak Vidyalaya in Mumbai. Asha was seen beaming at the event, and even broke into a sweet little dance as the entire Mangeshkar clan looked on. Alongside Asha, as she received the award, were her other siblings Usha Mangeshkar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar. She also recieved a cash price of rupees one lakh, to which she promised she would add more money and donate the sum towards drought relief efforts in Maharashtra
Asha looked in great spirits and was seen thanking her family for standing beside her through her tough times, referring to the recent tragedy of daughter committing suicide at her Peddar road flat.
