Vivaan (Paras Arora) decorates the house and waits for Chakor (Meera Deosthale). Suraj (Vijayendra Kumeria) keeps a gun on Chakor’s head and asks her to go and tell Vivaan that Imli (Vidhi Pandya) loves him. Chakor says she isn’t scared of him and that she will do what she feels like. Suraj asks her to check first if Vivaan loves her or Imli. Suraj tells her that if he is proved right then she will have to leave Vivaan for Imli. Vivaan thinks of pretending that he is happy.

Chakor comes and thinks of finding out whether he loves her. Vivaan shows her the entire room and tells her that he has been waiting for him since long. Chakor gets confused whether he is doing it for real or not. Vivaan tells himself that he is doing all this for Imli’s presence. She thinks of what Suraj said. Vivaan gets down on his knees and makes her wear a ring. Chakor gets reminded of Imli and Suraj’s words.

Imli asks the driver to stop the car and tells her mother that she can’t go anywhere. She says she loves Vivaan and she can’t leave him. Chakor pulls back her hand. She hesitantly tells him that she doesn’t love him anymore. Vivaan comes and tells her that what does she mean, she has loved him since childhood. Chakor tells her that things have changed now. She tells him that she wouldn’t be able to live with him.

Imli’s parents try to explain her that she can’t return now. She agrees and promises to herself never to come between them. Vivaan asks her she was happy till yesterday, then what happened today. She tells him she was pretending. Vivaan thanks her and hugs her. He tells her that she stopped him from doing the wrong thing. He tells her that she is right, they have moved on in life. He tells her that he loves Imli. He apologises to her. Chakor says there is no need of apologising. She tells him that she is happy that he will get his true love. Vivaan thanks her and leaves. He stops and says Imli doesn’t love her.

Arjan Bajwa who made his Bollywood debut with Abhishek Bachchan’s Guru (2007) confessed that Bollywood is biased. The actor has been trying his luck since nine years in tinsel town and has managed to get limelight from Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion (2008) and Akshay Kumar’s Rustom (2015). Well there is no doubt that he is talented, he has proved his mettle in all his films, but he feels that Bollywood is not favourable to an outsider. But then Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay are outsiders who made it big in Bollywood. Presently, there is a dearth there.

Arjan has something to say about it. “We do not have an outside superstar coz people who are not from the film background are not given fair chance coz they are always considered to be an other guy in the industry. Even if you look good, or you are passionate about your work, that thing is not counted. If actually you give an opportunity to the outsider you will get superstars automatically. Mostly the industry, the press everyone favours their own. I do not have anything against Bollywood, I have friends here, but I am talking on a professional front, insiders are given more chance than outsiders.  Even I have faced that, there was one director who was very fond of my work, but he preferred to take a star son than me. This was blatantly on my face”.

Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) brings Pragya (Sriti Jha) home. Everyone gets home. Aaliya asks him why has he brought her home. Abhi tells her that he has brought her for her help. He will keep her as her secretary. Aaliya says he should have told her if he wanted a new secretary. He says he knows she doesn’t like her but he wants to keep her he won’t find a more talented girl than her. Dasi asks if he knows her ? He tells her that she is Nikita, his fan no.1 .  She tells everyone that he had gone to her house for dinner that day. He introduces his dadi to Pragya. She folds her hands and wishes her namaste.

He asks Pragya to take care of his family and to ever hurt them. Everyone leaves without saying a word. Sarla and Beeji discuss about her job. She stops her from calling Pragya. Pragya feels guilty for fooling Dadi. Tanu scolds Aaliya for not telling her about Pragya. She cries and tells her that Pragya has won. Aaliya tells her that things were not in her control.

Dasi tells Dadi that Pragya’s presence isn’t affecting Abhi. Pragya comes and touches her feet, but Dadi steps back. Pragya tells her that she never tried to meet him. She never forgot her promise. She tells her that she got weak in front of him. Dadi asks her that why didn’t she refuse when he offered her the job of his secretary. She tells her that she didn’t know he was bringing her here. She recalls refusing Abhi. He tells her that she will have to work here as she promised him she will accept any job he will find. He asks her not to show her face again if she doesn’t want to work here. Pragya tells Dadi that she couldn’t say anything to him when he said that.

Debutante Harshvardhan Kapoor is confident about his film Mirzya leaving a lasting impact on audience as it has got an interesting treatment and story.

The 25-year-old actor, who was in the capital to launch the trailer of the movie, said he is trying his best to spread the awareness about the movie as he wants maximum number of people to see the film.

“I know what the film is. I know that people will enjoy the film. There is something in the movie to talk about. It’s not a topic of passing conversation. It’s not like you are there for two hours and then just forget about it. I just want to spread the awareness about the film as it deserves to be seen,” he said.

This may be his first film, but rather than being nervous about the success of the movie, Harshvardhan is happy with the satisfaction the film gave him as an actor.

“There is an anxiety, not about how people will see and find the film, but at the end of the day as an artist I need to pleased with what I do and this is something which has already happened. The anxiety is to get people to theaters.”

The movie is inspired by the love story of Mirza-Sahiban and the actor went through 18 months of preparation for his role.

Harshvardhan said he can’t jump from one role to another and needs sufficient time to prepare. He took more than two months to understand his character in his second film “Bhavesh Joshi”.

“I want to give time to whatever films I do. This is my struggle. A lot of actors kind of jump from one project to another. They take two-three weeks and condense everything in that time. I feel I am slow I need time to prepare.

“It is also the kind of characters I am picking. I will be letting down the audience if I don’t take that much time to prepare for the characters,” he said.

The actor, who is son of Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, said the fact that his father has never done anything like this in his career helped him in taking up the role.

“Knowing that my father has not done anything like this in his career helped me in taking the decision. When he saw the early cut of the film he said ‘I don’t know who to compare you with as the film has very original approach’.

“There is no reference point for this film. It allowed me to bring out the way I see things. I was able to interpret things the way I wanted to.”

Priyanka Chopra had a fairly decent start to her Hollywood career with her signing up the international thriller series, Quantico. Though the show wasn’t the great enough compared to the rest of its ilk, like Homeland and How To Get Away With Murder, it had some engaging moments and a good looking cast. Moreover, it gave Priyanka Chopra the right kind of platform for Hollywood exposure. She got her Oscar spotlight, and she was the talking pint with her red gown at the recently concluded Emmys. Moreover she won the People’s Choice Award for the Best New Actress in a show, and also got her huge Hollywood assignment, Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson, thanks to Quantico. She also managed the eighth spot in the Forbes’ list of richest telly actresses around the world. So yeah, Quantico is a milestone in her career, even if the show had let you down several times in the first season. Now the second season is already in air, with Priyanka Chopra’s Alex Parrish taking on another set of challenges and training programs to be the top of her game.

Here’s our review of the premiere episode of the second season.

What’s it about

After an eventful stint with FBI, where she lost a couple of her friends, Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) is recruited by CIA to be a part of their regime. To her shock, she finds out that her boyfriend Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) is also a part of her training regime, though even he was not aware that she was invited as well. This creates more tension between the couple, as they are ready to take of the new challenge.They also get to meet their fellow trainees at ‘The Farm’, which is the CIA training field – a Shelby-like Lydia (Tracy Ifeachor) who becomes Alex’s new friend only to surprise her completely in the end, a mystery novel author Jeremy Miller (David Call), a trainee with jail past (Aaron Diaz), a bisexual thief Harry Doyle (Russell Tovey) and others. While Alex enters as a celeb trainee thanks to her antics in the previous season, she soon realises that the skills what made her shine in the past is not what CIA is looking for, and she soon ends up being the worst member of the batch.

In the future timeline, that is set a year later, Alex Parrish witnesses a huge group of terrorists hijacking a high profile meeting, that involves the President and his First Lady, and she decides to do her part in saving them. Only to realise that this attack has a connection with her CIA training days… like always, like always…

What’s hot

Though the show looks to repeat the same format of the last season by jumping timelines, connecting past with the present, the first episode of the second season is far less cluttered compared to the last season. Moreover, it did not feel like some teen show, as the training portions of last season’s Quantico portions felt like. But we still get to see Priyanka Chopra in a training bra (that looked more like a bikini), and many of the guys shirtless, just for some eye-candy (if there are watching the show purely for this). For once, the training portions in this season, at least for now, don’t feel like they belong in here. They are as captivating as the the terrorist attack scenes in the future timeline, thanks to a couple of twists. Priyanka Chopra continues her top game in the season, though I cannot say the same about her character Alex Parrish, who for once, looks like a rabbit in a bullpen in ‘The Farm’. It’s a great scenario written for her character, as she finds herself to be a poor performer in her group, while her boyfriend Ryan is topping the game. Among the supporting cast, it’s Russell Tovey and Tracy Ifeachor who makes the best impact. Tracy Ifeachor’s character Lydia is, in fact, the best character of the episode, thanks to a couple of twists relating to her character.

What’s not

For those who want something different from the show this season, the repetitive format used may disappoint you. Considering that the CIA also has the same training regime like FBI, we wonder whether Alex Parrish will go through another training regime in the third season and then for which group –  I bet, The Presidential protection group. Also for a show that has links and even share the name with FBI’s training facility, the first episode shows no such connection as such, which hopefully can change in the future episodes. Your fave characters from the first season like Shelby, Raina and Miranda are given far less to do this time, while the season misses the likes of Simon Asher, who was killed in the finale of the last season. Ryan and Alex’s bickering romance is also getting the same boring treatment. The dialogues are as unmemorable as they have been in the past. Also can somebody go easy with the makeup on Priyanka Chopra‘s face? The girl looks more like a beauty pageant contestant than a CIA agent.

What to do

Despite its flaws, the first episode of the second season is definitely an improvement from the first season thanks to a tighter narrative and an intriguing plot. Let’s hope that the makers keep up the momentum in the future episodes as well, something that the show failed to do last season.

Veteran writer-lyricist Gulzar has revealed that the late superstar Rajesh Khanna acted in superhit film “Anand” at a nominal fee.

Gulzar, 82, said Khanna did so because he liked the story. “He threw a big party after the success of ‘Anand’,” Gulzar was quoted as saying in a media release issued here.

Anand directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starred Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.

Gulzar had written the screenplay and dialogues for this 1971 drama film.

He also revealed that Mukherjee had a very good sense of humour and it perhaps reflected in movies like “Khoobsurat”, “Chupke Chupke” and others.

Gulzar was speaking at the master-class session held by Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) and moderated by acclaimed filmmaker Sudhir Mishra last week.

This was part of IFTDA’s monthly initiative ‘IFTDA Meet The Director’ session that provides a platform for filmmakers to interact with established directors and in process, learn and hone their craft of filmmaking and storytelling.

The “Aandhi” helmer spoke about his journey into films, the evolution of the industry, his frequent collaborators and friends like RD Burman, Sanjeev Kumar, Vishal Bhardwaj, AR Rahman and others, his love for languages.

“Hari Bhai (Sanjeev Kumar) and Pancham (Burman) were two anchors in my life and I loved both of them immensely. We shared a relationship where we could disagree with each other without feeling bad at all,” Gulzar said.

When he was asked about filmmakers being influenced a lot by films in West, Gulzar said, “We have such vast history and so many stories from our historic culture that we don’t have to look anywhere else for inspiration. Yes, the technology in west is very advanced for sure.”

Actor Jeetendra who worked with Gulzar on films like Parichay, Khushboo and Kinaara, felicitated him on behalf of IFTDA.

In Udaan, Imli goes to the station. Chakor (Meera Deosthale) tells Vivaan (Paras Arora) that Imli (Vidhi Pandya) loves him and he is very happy. He says the truth was before my eyes and I could not see it. He hugs Chakor and says I am so thrilled that Imli also loves me. Chakor tells him to go and stop Imli. Vivaan says I will never get a better and more honest friend than you. Chakor says you will not find a better woman to love you than Imli. Vivaan says thank you. He asks what will happen to you. She tells him to go and prevent Imli from leaving the village.

Chakor falls down on her knees and weeps. Then, she gets up and runs out only to see Vivaan driving away to meet Imli. She cries that Vivaan left where he was meant to go. He reaches the station where Imli’s mother asks her if she is sure about her decision. Imli says yes he loves Chakor and it is ideal if I let them be together. Imli walks towards the coach. Her parents also enter inside the train. Vivaan checks his watch and says only 15 minutes left for train to depart. I have to stop Imli.

Chakor is alone on the road. She looks around and remembers her friendship with Vivaan. She sees their favourite spot- the Machaan. Saaware plays in the background. She screams Vivaan I lied to you that I do not love you. The truth is that I only love you. How will I live without you? How can I forget you and continue my life? Chakor sinks on her knees.

A flashback is shown where Vivaan and she are together. She says this is the place where we dreamt of a secure future together. This is where we met. Chakor gets emotional about the Machaan. She says you went away from me, Vivaan. She is completely devastated. Chakor sees the decorations and recollects that Vivaan decked up the place for her. She breaks the items. She curses her luck saying she has no one to love. Chakor says I was born only to get love and not to receive it. She breaks the Machaan. Chakor says the Machaan was a symbol of our love. If that has ended, it does not deserve to be here.

Suraj (Vijayendra Kumeria) stops her saying she will hurt herself. Chakor says everything is over in my life, this Machaan does not deserve to stay. It is raining heavily and Suraj looks at her stunned. She is devastated and crying at the stop saying that everything is over for her. Suraj tells her to get up from the spot. Chakor tells him to leave her. She says you came here to make fun of me. He says even I lost my love like this a few days back. I am not making fun of you. My sympathises are with you.

Chakor says she does not want his sympathy. She grabs his leather jacket and says you were right, I lost. Vivaan only loves Imli and not me. She says I became so blind in love that I did not see that Vivaan also loves Imli. She says I left Vivaan for Imli and I hope you are happy hearing this. Chakor faints in his arms.

Suraj says Chakor and tries to wake her up. He picks her up in his arms. The police officer tells a lawyer that you know what Kamal Narayan (Sai Ballal) has done. He says how is it possible that I destroyed the evidence when I am behind the bars. The officer tells Kamal Narayan that he will get the case rolling once again saying he destroyed the evidence with his tricks.

Imli’s parents make her sit on the train. She asks when will the train depart. The collector says in 12 minutes. Suraj wonders if Vivaan has reached in time. Chakor says the train needs to be delayed, we cannot let this happen. She says train can wait for 12-15 minutes. Suraj says I don’t know if he has reached the station or not. Chakor says we will find out. She makes a call. The person says something and she is like what.

Milind Soman is getting hotter by the day, one marathon at a time. In the latest news the Iron Man of India, has successfully completed yet another marathon. And here we are going out of breath, just reading Milind’s feat. Another addition to his list of achievements – Milind ran 42.2 KM marathon in 4 hours, 32 minutes. How inspiring? Who would believe that the popular actor is 50 years old? He shared the news on Facebook, with a cool picture of himself, with the caption “BMW Berlin-Marathon! Beautiful course, great weather and 42000 runners Finished 42.2 km in 4hrs 32min #berlinmarathon2016 #berlinmarathon” Now that is one celebrity we should look up to when it comes to fitness. And not the ones who are pumping their biceps with juices.

Milind has been quite vocal about women’s participation in sports. In an interview, with a news portal he had said, “Women should celebrate their health. We have training programs in every city. They run in running gear, but also in saris, salwar kameez, hijabs or whatever attire they deem fit and keeps them comfortable.” When Milind Soman won the Ironman Triathlon in Zurich last year, he caught everyone’s attention in India and across the world. Talking to Huffington post the Captain Vyom actor had said “I give credit to my mom for inspiring and encouraging me to take sports seriously. She was a professor of biochemistry and at the age of 60 when she retired she started trekking,”
Just 8 weeks ago, Milind’s mother also made headlines. She ran alongside her son in the last stretch of a marathon. Milind Soman‘s 76 year old mother, Usha Soman, ran effortlessly alongside her son barefoot, and wait for the best part – she ran in a saree. And here I think ten times before taking stairs instead of elevators. Last year also Usha Ji participated in a fundraiser and walked 100 kilometres in less than 48 hours.

One of the most awaited films this year is Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The Karan Johar directed drama is gearing up to set the temperature soaring with a Diwali release. Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink has gained critical acclaim as well as appreciation from fans. The storyline is gripping and needless to say, both Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan are commendable in the film. Pink started off on a great note at the box office with a total collection of around Rs 36 crore within first week of its release. Riteish Deshmukh’s Banjo and Radhika Apte’s Parched released on the following week and yet Pink has managed to stand strong at the box office. The film has shown a sustainable growth and has managed to collect Rs 53 crore till date. It has been 10 days since the movie’s release and Pink has already covered it’s budget which was around 20-25 crore. So, ideally the film is making profit and more profit.

However, this week it’s going to be Sushant Singh Rajput‘s MS Dhoni: The Untold Story that’s going to hit the silver screens. Now Sushant, Disha Patani and Kiara Advani have been majorly promoting their movie on almost every platform. Also let’s not forget, Sushant has a huge fan base and his film is coming out after almost two years. So Sushant fans are most definitely going to watch this movie. Also, the trailer and the movie songs have been impressive so far. Since the movie is based on Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the man who doesn’t need any introduction, the entire country is looking forward to it.

While one is a realistic film based on events that almost every other person can relate to, the other movie is a biopic on India’s most loved cricketer. Also, everybody has been raving about how along with time, Sushant has almost BECOME MS Dhoni. It’s going to be a rather interesting affair to watch Sushant play Dhoni on the big screen though we don’t know whether he will do full justice to the role.

Who is the one director that comes to your mind for imitating Yash Chopra’s style of directing? The answer is Karan Johar obviously. Hence when the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director took to his Twitter account to wish Yash ji on his birthday, he had to say the same things. Karan considers him to be his strength and inspiration and these were the same words that he used for his birthday wish.

Yash Chopra’s good friend Anupam Kher too remembered him today and how he misses their morning chat sessions. The actor believes that his message of love still dominates the world today and the world should be thankful to him for this.

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar won’t celebrate her 87th birthday on Wednesday as 18 Indian soldiers recently died “so brutally in Uri”. She is saddened by the darkness all around, including the deteriorating relations with Pakistan. But she hopes they stay happy and live in peace.

The September 18 terror attack left 18 Indian soldiers dead at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. So, this year Lata won’t celebrate her birthday. “Not when our soldiers have died so brutally in Uri. My sincere request to my well-wishers, please don’t waste money buying me flowers. Instead send money to the bereaved family of martyrs. Jo shaheed huey hain unki zaraa yaad karo qurbani,” she said.

There is hatred everywhere, especially between India and the neighbours. What is her message to her fans?

Lata said: “Everything has changed. Human beings and even the climate is now unpredictable. Extreme weather conditions play havoc with our lives. I am deeply saddened to see children suffer in natural calamities and during war.”

So what according to her, is the solution to the current crisis in mankind’s existence?

“I don’t know if I am qualified to comment on such matters. But yes, I do wonder why nations don’t keep their own house in order instead of creating havoc in others’ domain. Why hurl bombs at nations? Hatred kills. Why not work on making our own country beautiful?”

She cites the example of Switzerland as an idyllic state of existence.

“Switzerland is considered the most peaceful country in the world. Why? Because they’ve concentrated on making their own country better and more developed and they do not look at other countries to harm them. We never hear of violence perpetrated by the Swiss.”

Her message to her fans in Pakistan?

“Woh khush rahen shanti se rahen (I hope they stay happy and stay in peace). Aur humen bhi khushi aur shanti se rehne den (And let us also live in peace and be happy). I know the people there are just like us. They want peace. Only some elements don’t want peace.”

On a more cheerful note, Lata Mangeshkar has been conferred West Bengal’s highest civilian honour – the Banga Bibhushan. And Lata, who has received India’s highest civilian honour the Bharat Ratna, is ecstatic.

“My connection with Bengal is karmic. I’ve sung numerous Bangla songs including Durga Pooja songs and Rabindra Sangeet, the two most popular genres of singing in Bengal. I hold my visits to Kolkata very close to my heart. Do you know, Bengal is where I’ve performed the maximum live concerts in India,” said Lata, recalling with pleasure the times when she recorded Bangla songs for the two Bangla maestros Salil Chowdhury and Hemant Kumar.

“Hemant da’s songs were sweet and transparent, like the man himself. His tunes were very melodious. Salil da used to record really intricate layered Bangla songs with me and then he would record the same song with me in Hindi. For example, ‘O sajna barkha bahaar aayee’ (‘Parakh’), ‘Na jiya laage na(‘Anand’) and ‘Niss din niss din’ (‘Annadata’) were all Bengali songs first.”

Lata’s brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar also recorded Bangla songs with her.

“Hridaynath converted some of his famous Marathi numbers into Bangla,” she revealed.

She recalls every visit to Kolkata with pleasure. “I love the food there, and the saris. But most of all, I love the language. It is so sweet. I am honoured to get their award. The fact that West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamta Bannerjee will take the time to personally come to Mumbai to give me the award makes it all the more special. I couldn’t have hoped for a better birthday gift.”

What do awards mean to the Nightingale at this stage of her career?

“Oh, they mean a lot! It’s never too late for recognition and praise. When I received the Bharat Ratna in 2001, all my friends said there is nothing more to achieve. But I am still learning. I still feel like a student. Every word of praise whether it comes from the government or a listener who appreciates my songs, is equally important.”

Aaliya reminds Pragya (Sriti Jha) about her promises to Abhi’s (Shabir Ahluwalia) family. She tells her that she never wanted to come but Aaliya refuses to believe her. Aaliya accuses her planning the entire thing. She reminds her that Pragya never fulfilled any of her promises. Pragya denies planning anything. She accuses Pragya of trying to rip Abhi off his fortunes. She tells Pragya that she will never let her reunite with Abhi. Aaliya then accuses Pragya of coming back to seek revenge from her and tells her that she won’t let her succeed. She also tells Pragya that the entire family hates her. Aaliya warns her and leaves.

Just as she is about to leave, she hears Abhi calling for Robin and goes to ask him if he needs help. She finds his music player for him and makes an excuse when he asks her how she knew where the music player was. He asks her to find other things in his room and she finds everything out for him. She also finds a ring for him which surprises him. He asks her how she found the ring and she tells him that Robin told her where everything is. She says that Robin told everything about where Abhi’s things are in the room. He changes her name to Sherlock Holmes. He, then, asks her to find his medicines for him. She tries to find the medicines but ends up finding his boxers instead and blushes. He asks her to get him some coffee and considers himself lucky. (ALSO READ: OMG! Daadi is being asked why she was so rude with Pragya and that it doesn’t seem like it’s her fault. Daadi says that she purposely behaved that way so Pragya will leave since she is scared of what might happen in the future. She fears that Tanu and Aaliya will break the family and Abhi. She recalls how Aaliya and Tanu almost killed Pragya and Abhi is bearing the consequences of losing his memory. She is scared that Abhi might remember stuff and fall sick again.

Mitali is shocked to see her mother-in-law getting tea and biscuits for her. She sniffs a plot in her behaviour as her mother-in-law assures her that nothing is wrong with her. She says that she wants to make a team to plot against Pragya since she is back in the house. Tanu and Aaliya see Abhi alone and go to talk to him. Tanu flirts with Abhi and Aaliya reminds him that she has come to meet him. Tanu invites him to a party she is throwing at her place. He agrees to go to the party.

Pragya enters with the coffee and Tanu steps on her foot. She screams in pain and Abhi turns to see what happened.

Well we all know the popularity of the TV series Game Of Thrones amongst the masses. Not just with the audience, the series is even popular with the critics and it was this popularity that made this show swipe the maximum number of awards at Emmys this year. The show which has it’s seventh season coming next year is high on drama and the fact that it is one of the most eagerly awaited shows of next year would be an understatement. Though there might be many stars in the West who would love to be a part of this popular series and we know one such person. The star is none other than our very own Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe. The 27 year old star in an interview with AceShowbiz revealed that he wants a role in the hit HBO show even if it is a brief one.

The actor was quoted saying, “I would love to do (Game of Thrones). If they want to just bring me in and kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”

Radcliffe, however, clarified that he is not sure if he is ready to commit to a long TV show. “I’ve recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts. But then it’s signing on for seven years. Right now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that’s filming next year, I don’t have to turn it down because I’m not available – which I did, for a long time,” confessed the ‘Now You See Me 2’ star.

Earlier, we even told you that Shivaay actress Erika Kaar was also earlier offered a role in the series and she even auditioned for it. “In the last episode of season 6, where Arya Stark disguises herself as another woman and says ‘eat the pie’, I was supposed to be that girl. I played the part for audition. The casting people called my agent and said I was great because I did the part very well. But they said I was ‘too American’ because the part had to be more British. I almost got it but the accent was too American. But my friend got that part so I was happy,” Erika had told PTI in an interview.

Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) sees Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and asks him to go get ready. Sona (Erica Fernandes) is all set for the sangeet ceremony. Elena and Asha joke about North Indian traditions. They cuddle. Elena gives Sona a rose that Dev has sent for her. Dadi Bua praises Ishwari’s preparations when Radha bad mouths about Sona’s family. Ishwari gives Dadi Bua and her daughter-in-law jewellery as gifts and tells her how grateful she is to Dadi Bua. She praises the fact that Ishwari is down to earth and asks her daughter-in-law to touch her feet. Sourabh plays the emcee and introduces the families. He welcomes Dev and Sonakshi on the stage.

Dev sees Sona’s smiles and wonders what will happen if he tells her about the conception thing and decides to not tell her today. Ishwari introduces Sona to Dadi Bua and Sona touches her feet. Dadi Bua is impressed with Sona and tells her that their kids will be beautiful. The dance festivities begin. Elena comes on stage to dance when Vicky begins flirting with her. She feels uncomfortable in her presence. Dadi Bua rushes with the money on stage to move it around their head and give it to a poor person. Elena holds her hand asking her what she’s up to.

Dadi Bua feels insulted and scolds her. Mamaji interferes and explains the concept. Sona and Elena apologise to Dadi Bua saying that they didn’t know what it means. Elena calls Sona and Dev on stage to dance. They dance intimately to a romantic song as everybody look at them. Sona senses that Dev is disturbed about something. She asks him what’s wrong with him. He tells her that he is just happy. They flirt with each other for a while. She asks him again what’s wrong with him. He tells her that he is scared of losing her again. She assures him that they are booked for life.

Elena overhears Radha mocking Bejoy and Asha. Dev handles the situation somehow. Elena is dancing as Vicky passes comments at her and Elena gives it back to him. She goes back to dancing when he pulls her and her dupatta. Everybody is shocked to see it and Elena yells at him. Dev yells at Vicky in front of everyone for misbehaving with Elena.

Kareena comes and sees Soumya (Rubina Dilaik) sleeping with the baby. She tries to take the child away, but Soumya wakes up. Kareena tells her that she will have to take her outside, everyone is asking for her. Soumya gets upset. Kareena makes her understand that she tried all she could do but this is how it works. She takes the child away. A person comes and asks Soumya to come out and do the rituals.

Harman (Vivian Dsena) wakes up and starts looking for Soumya’s sweater. He goes and asks Preeto (Kamya Punjabi) about the sweater. Preeto says she burnt it. Harman says she knows she can’t do it. Preeto says she will give him the sweater if he returns her her son. He says the day he will return Soumya to his mother he will become her same old son. Preeto gives him an offer. She says if he manages to find Soumya and hand her over to her mother before Navratri then it’s okay. But, after that he will have to promise her that he will forget Soumya. Harman agrees

Maninder goes to meet Surbhi’s in laws. At Gurnuma’s house, everyone celebrates at the child’s christening ceremony. Soumya drops Aarti’s thaali and says ceremony could not be completed. Guruma goes to the temple, brings sindoor and puts teeka on child’s forehead. She announces her new name, Deepa. Soumya takes the child in her arms and blesses her. She tells herself that she intentionally didn’t complete the ceremony so the baby’s future doesn’t get decided by them. Guruma announces a big feast.

Surbhi makes a list. She receives Harman’s call. She cuts it. He calls her again. She angrily cuts it again. Harman gets upset. All eunuchs go out for Navratri shopping. Kareena says it’s a wonderful day and asks Soumya to enjoy too. Soumya sees a phone booth. Harman tries to call Surbhi again. Preeto serves him breakfast. Soumya goes inside phonebooth and calls Surbhi but her phone comes switched off. She calls Harman. Harman leaves. Preeto takes it. Soumya says she is in Bhatinda and tells her address and asks him to come soon to take her.

It seems like the battle is going to be between good dancers on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. We informed you some time back that Shakti Arora is out of the show. Yes, left are Karishma Tanna, Salman Yusuff Khan and Shantanu Maheshwari. It is going to be a see-saw between Salman and Shantanu.  The MTV Girls On Top actor has a legion of fans across India, especially amongst teenagers. He is also one of the favourites to win the show. It seems for the coming episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, he will turn into a Dabbawala and his choreographer Alisha Singh will be a tourist.  They will be performing on Zinghat, the hit song from Sairat. Composed by Ajay-Atul, the number is one of the chart-busters of the year. Shantanu will be seen in a dhoti, kurta and topi on the show.

A source shares, “This performance is Shantanu’s tribute to the city of Mumbai, which fulfilled all his dreams, which he had never even imagined would really happen, after shifting here from Kolkata. Their Maharashtrian style performance was full of energy and just awesome, which got them a standing ovation from the audience as well as the other contestants! Ganesh Hegde even mentioned that he feels like getting up and dancing when watching Shantanu on stage, and Karan Johar who absolutely loved his performance told him that he earned his 10 points from him for the amazing act.” This is the second time Shantanu is getting 10 marks from Karan Johar. We know that Jacqueline Fernandez already has a crush on him. In the episode where Shantanu’s mother came on stage, she had also got kangans for Jackie. So cute! She was totally bowled over by his cuteness.

Earlier, Shantanu did a youth show called ‘Dil Dostii Dance’ aired on Channel V. This show was about college kids and their passion for dance. It showed how this passion brought them together to form a bond of friendship and love. Shantanu has also appeared on many episodes of ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ aired on Zing TV and some episodes of ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ aired on Bindaas TV. He has also done ‘Bindaas Naach’. He is currently playing a role in MTV’s show ‘Girls on Top’.  Mumbai Dabbawalas are the perfect example of Mumbai’s energy and clockwork precision. Just a while ago we reported you how Tannishtha Chatterjee bashed Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza for mocking her dark skin tone. The Parched actress wrote an open letter on Facebook which actually highlights the mindset of Indians.  Come on! We all enjoy Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza and have a good laugh over it. But don’t you think it’s high time to react on their racists comments. I mean they fat shame people, brutally insult celebrities who are not that successful and now they are making fun of skin colour as well.

Even Ajay Devgn feels that there should be a limit to everything. The Shivaay actor was asked about insulting Tannishtha over her skin tone. He said, “There has to be a limit to humour coz sense of humour goes overboard. We all have a sense of humour, we all accept joke on us also. The person who is cracking a joke has to draw a line and for that the mindset needs to changed”.

He further added how Indians have a mentality problem which is very true. “We as Indians have a problem, I am sorry even I am an Indian, we have a mindset towards fair skin, fairness cream is more advertised in India only. Being fair does no make you beautiful as a person. I have noticed this lots of times, when we are in India we talk so disrespectfully to our waiters and same when we go abroad, we speak so politely to the foreign waiters. This is a problem of our mindset”.

Ajay was quizzed that such comedy shows are watched and enjoyed more, he had a bang on answer. ” Aap log jo dekhte hai, wahi hum banaate hai, banane waale mai mai bhi aata hu, jis din aap log dekhna bandh kar doge, who log banana bandh kar denge“. Well said Ajay!

However Colors channel realised their mistake and  apologised to  Tannishtha. But comedian Krushna Abhishek feels that Chatterjee is doing everything for publicity as they were giving more attention to Radhika Apte. He even claimed that actors Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan like the show.

Imli’s (Vidhi Pandya) parents her see her off at the station. Vivaan (Paras Arora) reaches the station and starts looking for Imli. He realises that the train has left. He gets upset that Imli has left. Ranjana tells Ragini that her father is very tensed at one of her workers has been arrested. Ragini asks her workers who has been arrested. A person says Vilas. She asks who was with Vilas at that time. A person says he was with him. Ragini pushes him off the cliff. Ragini asks one of her workers to bring the police officer here. Ranjana asks if she will be able to handle the police. Ragini assures her that she will be able to manage everything.

Vivaan gets disappointed. He feels guilty for confessing his love to her. Imli’s father sees him crying. He points towards Imli. Imli sees Vivaan and cries. Vivaan gets happy. They both come near each other. Imli asks Vivaan if he is fine. Vivaan asks what stopped her. She tells him that her father received a call from Chakor (Meera Deosthale). She asks why isn’t he with Chakor. He tells her that he met Chakor but then he realised that he was wrong. He tells her that he loves her. Imli gets shocked. Her mother and father gets happy listening that.

He holds her hands and announces that he loves her. He says he has fallen for her wife. Bystanders clap and praise him. Imli cries and asks him to repeat. He repeats and says she is his life. Imli says he loves him too. He says he didn’t hear her properly. She says loudly that she loves him. Vivaan asks her to say it loudly. They both say I Love You to each other. They hug each other and promise to stay with each other for entire life. Bystanders clap.

He holds her hand and takes blessings from her parents. Her parents allow him to take her away. Chakor burns all the cards and paintings she received from Vivaan. SurajVijayendra Kumeria) comes and tells her that he has also burnt Imli’s memories. Vivaan calls Chakor and tells her that he is coming back to haveli with Imli. Suraj says he has lost for the first time in life. Ranjana over hears their conversation and asks Chakor what’s going on. Ranjana gets surprised and decides to tell Ragini. Chakor tells Suraj that she wants to give them a grand welcome. Suraj says he doesn’t want to get involved in anything. Chakor tries to stop him. He says he was happy when he was bad so he will like to stay that way.
