Hollywood film Inferno, which stars Oscar-winning Tom Hanks and Indian actor Irrfan Khan, amassed Rs 9.08 crore during its opening weekend.

Inferno — the third in Dan Brown’s book series after The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons — narrates a thrilling story of how Robert Langdon (Hanks), a professor of symbology at Harvard University, tries to save the world from a deadly plot.

Oscar-winning director Ron Howard’s mystery thriller Inferno released in India on Friday – two weeks before it opens in the US. It released across 1025 screens (all India) in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. According to a statement, the film, released by Sony Pictures Entertainment India, has grossed Rs 9.08 crore till now.

Vivek Krishnani, Managing Director – SPE Films India Pvt Ltd, India, is elated with the response. “We are delighted with the performance of the film. ‘Inferno’ is number 1 in India as well as international markets this past weekend. With Irrfan, who is our own homegrown talent playing a pivotal role, it is a recognition of Indian actors on a global platform. The film has connected with not only the fans of the franchise but also appealed to lovers of the thriller genre,” Krishnani said.

Globally, Inferno delivered a powerful $50 million this weekend at the overseas box opening in 53 markets and holding the number one position in 45 markets.

Irrfan is pleased with “all the amazing news on the film’s success at the box office so far”. “It is kind of unnerving that today we are looking at not just a film’s performance in India but its overall global performance… Waiting to see the film grow over this week before the US release next week and also other big markets like China and France,” said the actor.

Actor Rana Daggubati has lent his voice for the character of Langdon for the Telugu dubbed version of “Inferno”.

Kamal Narayan declares Ragini his official heir and does all the rituals. He asks all the villagers to clap for her and listen to all her instructions. Vivaan (Paras Arora) calls Imli (Vidhi Pandya) and asks her about her changed avatar. She says she is just trying to fulfill his dream and that she will tell him later. Kamal declares Suraj (Vijayendra Kumeria) Ragini’s assistant. Ragini asks how can he make him her assistant as he was the one who tried to kill him.

Kamal scolds her for interrupting in between. He says Suraj is his son and he has forgiven him. He makes him sit beside Ragini makes him wear a chain.Suraj stops him and says he knows he is doing all this because he considers him his biggest enenmy. Kamal’s workers raise their guns on him. Imli too pulls out her gun. He makes Suraj explain that he is trying to do all this as he wants someone to take over his empire after he dies. Suraj asks him to give these false hopes to someone else and throws the chain away and leaves. Vivaan thinks about Kamal’s plans.

He says that he knows Suraj will come back and he is ready to wait fro him. He announces Ranjana badi malkin. Vivaan says he says he hates his mother for being two-faced. He goes to her room and starts checking her cup board. She comes and asks what is he doing. Vivaan asks her if she knew he was alive. She says yes and that is why she chose to support him. She tells him that Kamal didn’t kill him because he is her son. He says he is leaving this house and he will accept that her mother has died.

Suraj, Tejaswani and Imli discuss about the incident. Tejaswani asks him to be with Kamal atleast till the time he is is trating him well. Imli suggests pretending to be in Kamal’s team so that they keep getting updates of his evil plans. He agrees. She says meanwhile she will ask Chakor (Meera Deosthale) and Vivaan to go the police station and find out how did he get released.

Chagan asks Chakor to destroy Kamal as she did earlier. Chagan asks her not to lose hope and assures her that this time they all are with her. Villagers come and tell her that he has announced Ragini his heir. They ask Chakor to help them. Mai and Bapu come and motivate her. Chakor agrees and says she can’t accept defeat. She says she will fight.

Ragini and Kamal get welcomed by the villagers at the factory. Imli and Suraj come there. Chakor decides to meet Imli and fix a meeting. Kamal asks Suraj if he has made his final decision. He bends down and touches Kamal’s feet. Suraj says he regrets all his mistakes and he is ready to become Ragini’s assistant. Chakor sees this and gets shocked. Kamal Narayan makes him wear a chain and hugs him. Suraj asks Imli to touch his feet. He announces that Imli too is on his side. Chakor gets angry at Suraj. Ragini gets angry. Imli asks Chakor to behave properly with Suraj and leave. Chakor asks Imli why is she supporting them. He asks her to come with her. Kamal Narayan gets angry. Suraj stops him. Imli and Suraj ask Chakor to leave. He tries to tell her but she doesn’t listen.

Ever since it was announced in Bigg Boss 10 that the celebrities will have to be sevaks in the house and serve Indiawale, celebs have been trying their best to keep up with their work and put up with all the condescending comments by the commoners. Be it cooking or cleaning the pool three times a day, the celebs are seen putting up a strong face and completing all the tasks. Though there have been instances when the commoners have had heated arguments with the celebs, the sevaks are making sure that they don’t cross the line or break any rules. Priyanka Jagga, Manu Punjabi and Om Swami have been stirring a lot of controversies and unnecessary fights in the house.

Gaurav Chopra has been nominated for the eliminations this week and the actor is leaving no stone unturned to play it safe. Gaurav, who had been playing it safe and making sure that everybody followed all the instructions without breaking the rules, seems to have given up finally. After being pestered and tortured by the Indiawale, Gaurav Chopra decided to take matters in his own hands and do something about it. Indiawale cannot give the sevaks any orders without ringing the ‘Hukum Ki Ghanti’ and Gaurav hides the bell in the freezer. He then confides in all the celebrities that he has hidden the bell and asks them to sit back and enjoy the reaction on the maalik’s faces. Hell breaks loose in the Bigg Boss 10 house as the commoners are flabbergasted at not finding the ‘hukum ki ghanti’. Later on, Gaurav and Rohan Mehra hide the bell under the sofa in the living room. Will the commoners be successful in finding the ghanti or will this just lead to another fight or worse, a brawl in the house?

The breakup song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is striking the right chords and sending out a message that a breakup doesn’t always have to end on a sour note and in tears. Filmmaker Karan Johar says the song is all about women empowerment.

The song shows Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor celebrating a breakup, and is all about how moving on can be easy. “‘The breakup song’ is all about women empowerment. Breaking up should be as quick and easy as falling in love,” Karan said in a statement.

Karan talked about the song when actress Neha Dhupia inquired about it at an award function. With Pritam’s music, the quirky and fun dance number is sung by Arijit Singh, Badshah, Jonita Gandhi and Nakash Aziz.

Amid all the hullabaloo over the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, Karan is excited about the film and has not given out a statement on the stir yet.

While the debate on whether Pakistani artistes should be allowed to work in India or not post the tension between the nations is still on, Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India’s (COEAI) passed a judgment that they will not allow Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to release in single screen theatres across Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. Directed and produced by Karan under his home banner Dharma Productions, the movie about unrequited love, stars Ranbir, Anushka and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, apart from Fawad. The film is scheduled to release on October 28.

It is day two inside the Bigg Boss 10 house. This season of Salman Khan’s controversial reality show has a mix of common citizens Indiawale and celebrities. #It is day two and the house wakes upto Gupt Gupt title track. Swamiji compliments Monalisa on her dancing skills. Navin tells Swamiji that he has so much energy in him.

#Manoj tells Karan Mehra that the cooking of the celebs is very Vaahiyat. They have an argument. Karan says we will try to improve. VJ Bani tells Manoj to apologise and say that one should appreciate the effort. Karan seems to be miffed about the Vahiyat comment.

#VJ Bani tells Priyanka Jagga to be a little courteous. She says I told please to Lopamudra to get salt for me. Priyanka holds a conference with Manoj, Navin and Manveer. Navin says they are not fighting within themselves. Manoj says they did not feed us aloo parathas saying there were no potatoes but they are eating boiled potatoes inside. They say they are celebs, they will eat well themselves and feed others badly.

#Manoj mimics how the celebrities are doing the tasks. He says they are getting footage. He also says that Swamiji is getting importance. Akansha comes and joins them. VJ Bani tells Priyanka Jagga to be a little courteous while she says that she is courteous only that Bani does not hear them. Rohan explains to Manveer that there has to be clarity in when someone is pressing the bell.

#Priyanka lectures Gaurav that she does not need to say please every time. This is a game and we will not expect you to say please. She says I asked Monalisa for a drink four times but no one listened to me. Priyanka bursts into tears.

#Gaurav tells Bani that Priyanka is crying and wants to send her to jail. He says I have explained it to her. He says the woman just wants to create a scene. Lopamudra and Priyanka have a argument over a small thing the former said to her.

#Priyanka tells the Indiawale that Lopamudra said that she needs mental treatment. She says I do not care who you are? Lopa says even I do not care and my sabzi got burnt. Priyanka says you insulted me.

#The celebs discuss Priyanka and her background. They say that she says her surname is Muise and that her husband is a foreigner. They make fun of her surname, Muise. Gaurav Chopra says on dustbins it is also written use.

#Salman Khan says there is a game where the celebs have to match dark secrets with relevant contestants. It is a luxury budget task. If celebs win they the task, they will become masters and vice versa.

#Swamiji tells Lopamudra that Navin is torturing him immensely. He says you know my secrets but you do not reveal them in public. He says I am requesting you to remain silent. Lopa says you threatened me inside. She says I respect you. He tells Manveer that Salman told Lopa a lot about Swamiji but he does not want her to reveal them.

She says they are fake with mascara. He says she has pretty eyes.

Lopamudra steps in and says you need to apologise to all women of the country. She tells him to hold his ears. It’s day 3 at Bigg Boss house and things are heating up already. Priyanka is turning out to be the most controversial of all. I mean she leaves no opportunity to treat the celebs in the house with condescending remark. Just the other day she told Gaurav Chopra that she is unaware of any of his work, which was so uncalled for. From the promos we knew that a big fight was on our way in today’s episode. We are totally wondering  by this point, that how come Bani, who is known for her volatile personality, is keeping her distance from arguments. We are sure she is bottling up things and a volcano of anger is soon to erupt. The first task of the Bigg Boss 10 house where celebs are asked to be India walo ka sevak is going on full swing. Commoners are not very happy with celebs’ performances. Even Rohan Mehra’s charming ways to convince them otherwise are failing. On the other hand, celebs are angry at commoners for the way they are being treated. Gaurav even went on to hide the ‘hukum ki ghanti’ to save himself and fellow celebrity contestants from the orders by commoners. This was a pretty smart move we should say. No ‘hukum ki ghanti’ hence no hukum. Wow Gaurav turned out to be the knight in shining armour for the contestants. So here is what is happening on episode 3 of Bigg Boss 10, as it is happening-

Celebs including Monalisa, Bani, Gaurav confront commoners for wasting food. An argument ensues between Rohan Mehra and Guru Ji during the night after Guruji is called tharki by celebs.

The next morning contestants wake up to the song  – Parde me rehene do. Priyanka, Rohan and many other dance in the middle of the garden.

Lopamudra and Swami ji get into an argument over fever. The argument is taken forward by Gaurav and Swami ji.

At 11:30 Priyanka warns Gaurav to not accuse her of being biased towards Baba Ji. Later in the noon, commoners including  Priyanka and Manu Punjabi tell Om Ji that they are being accused of instigating him. At the end of argument, Manu calls out Baba of having double standards.

Celebs are called in the activity room for the second puzzle of the weekly task. They are asked to find a spotless moon in the house. Commoners force celebs to maintain distance between them, in order to make them fail at their task.

Rohan and Manu Punjabi get into a verbal spat. And Priyanka adds fuel to the fire. Gaurav watches them argue, clearly infuriated. Gaurav reads on the instruction manual of the task which further clarifies that commoners can indeed make them work so much that they don’t get time to ask.

Monalisa breaks down and requests Bigg Boss to get her out of the house somehow as Manu gets so angry that he gets up from his chair and abuses Rohan. The other contestants stop him by coming in between Rohan and Manu.

Manu loses his cool again at Rohan, and Bani comes in between them to stop them from fighting. The argument ensued over Om Swami disturbing Rohan from eating his food. Priyanka tries to calm Rohan down. That is one bonding, we did not expect. The two do yoga in the rest room. All of Priyanka’s efforts to calm Rohan down go in vain.

Lopamudra and Om Swami get into an argument. Nitibha talks to the camera and says she is confident that she will be able to keep her secret, a secret.

Celebs go by their gut feeling, and name Lokesh as the answer of the puzzle. And of course they are wrong.

Commoners plan a strategy to keep their secrets a secret and make celebs team lose.

Gaurav Chopra reads out the next chitthi from Bigg Boss which tells that the weekly task being upgraded. The upgrade includes that Maailk can anytime use the chain kept in the garden area and stall them from finding out commoners’ secrets.

Celebs are called in the activity area for the next puzzle. The new puzzle is quite easy, and celebs figure it out immediately. Outside the activity area Nitibha urges commoners to stand united while sabotaging efforts by celebs.

Rahul Dev and Om Swami try to talk their differences out. Swami ji asks Rahul to convince housemates to forgive him for his verbal abuse and his comments.

Bull’s eye. Celebs finally get the answer of the third puzzle right. Swami ji claims to have stopped a missile attack on India with his tantra vidya. Everybody tries their best not to laugh on his face.

Then comes the fourth puzzle of the weekly task. C’mon! Even we were able to guess this one. But celebs look confused over the answer. Contestants guess it is Priyanka.

Rishi (Ssharad Malhotra) sees Tanuja (Kratika Sengar) in the hospital ward and gets emotional as she took the bullet for him. He wishes he could have saved Tanu the way he saved her and cries. He holds her hand and says that he is relieved to know that she is alive. Rano enters the room and is shocked to see Rishi with Tanuja. She scolds him for getting all emotional for Tanuja and reminds of what she has done. She asks him if he is even a tad bit worried about what Malaika is going through and that Tanuja is just trying to trick her into falling for her. Rano says that every time he sees Tanuja’s face he forgets that she is not Tanu.

She makes him hates Tanuja again with her words. She also talks him into getting married to Malaika to get away from Tanuja. He tells her that no one can ever replace Tanu in his life. He leaves the hospital. Tanuja wakes up wondering how she got to the hospital when she remembers Rishi dropping her to the hospital. Rishi reaches home and asks Malaika if she will marry him. But he tells her that he will never touch her or be anywhere near her after the marriage. A happy Malaika agrees to all the conditions and tells him that she is just happy being married to him. An excited Rano sees Tanuja wake up and goes to give her the good news. Rano tells Tanuja that Rishi wants to get married to Malaika and that he loves her. Rano is elated to see Tanuja’s expressions and rubs salt on her wound. Malaika finds everyone in the living room and announces that she is getting married to Rishi. Everyone is shocked to hear it and she tells them that Rishi proposed to her. Raaj asks Rishi if he is sure about it when rano enters screaming that he is going to get married. Rishi says that he wants to get married as soon as possible.

Rano says that she already spoke to the pandit and they can get married in about 2-3 days. Raaj, Beeji and Ahana are not pleased with Rishi’s decision. Just then Tanuja enters the house and they (Rishi and Tanuja) exchange looks.

The game is finally about to come to an end but not without a big deadly fight! Milla Jovovich steps in the shoes of Alice but this time apart from saving humans, there’s vengeance that’s at stake. 2017 is gonna be quite a fiery year for while a lot of superheroes make their way to your nearest theatres, we also got a final fight of the famous video game turned movie, Resident Evil holding a final battle. We’ve seen Milla in action as she stood tall in all the Resident Evil parts. Crazed action with adrenaline charged sequences have been the trademark of the franchise. This finale show, however, has an inclusion of a few new cast. Dr Alexander, donned by Iain Glen of Game of Thrones fame too returns with Milla in this final chapter. The Resident Evil cast includes Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen in the role of Dr. Alexander Isaacs, Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker, Australian actress Ruby Rose as Abigail, Eoin Macken as Doc, Cuban American actor William Levy as Christian, Fraser James as Michael, and Japanese model and TV personality, Rola, as Cobalt.

What’s Hot?
Need we say more on the action packed sequences that has left us hooked in the trailer? Milla is in full form and ready to kick some butt in the final film. In the trailer, she mentions in one particular part how she is good at running. That was quite badass, if you ask me. Also, the whole part where its a young girl making a fair and square deal with Milla while she’s weighing the odds with the fact that Milla can avenge is super kickin’. Of course, being an ensemble cast, we have some familiar and some new faces in the franchise’s last film. And we gotta say, they sure look like a team ready to tackle any sort of calamity that falls their way. Not to forget Dr Alexander played by Iain is also really well done. In the second trailer, we get a better understanding of the doctor’s role in this film. Evil, it is.

What’s Not?
While you can’t expect anything new in the look of the film, considering it has been the same this way for a long long time now, there are certain scenes that seem to give away the plot of the film. For example, the biggest give away was that we know there’s a virus created by Dr. Alexander that’s gonna wipe out the entire human race. However, it’s gonna be an airborne virus. Basically they have to stop the doctor from succeeding in his evil plan. Okay, they could’ve been a little secretive about certain aspects in this particular fact about the plot. Fine, they chose to reveal it, it’s cool. But this scene in the trailer where a throng of killers are making their way against Milla’s army of 6 and the way they burn the sh*t outta all of them is again, a giveaway of how they’re gonna wipe out their enemy. Could’ve saved this for the film, perhaps?

So the first teaser of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi is out and it has left us SPELLBOUND. Everything about the teaser is just beautiful. And boy, Shah Rukh is looking HOT AF, that beard makes him look SEXY like never before. Alia too is looking radiant and we are sure even in this film her performance will be bang on.

The teaser begins with Shah Rukh Khan saying Alia that his dad used to take him to the beach every Sunday to play Kabaddi with the sea . Yes that one dialogue bowled us over. I mean personally I never thought of this and I bet no one else too. SRK plays Alia’s life coach in the film, he is the one who solves her every little issue. Right from dealing with her boyfriends to giving her the perfect answer to deal with Monday blues.

If you notice the teaser carefully, you will see in the end Alia falls down from the bicycle and asks SRK to help her get up on her feet and when he cycles away without helping her, she screams, “Shah!”, yes that’s his name in the film. And do you know that this is what his close buddies call him in real life too.Yes! Now the entire world knows that people call him SRK or King Khan, but very few are aware that he loves being called ‘Shah’. Isn’t that short and cute? Also we love the way Alia called him Shah. Alia and SRK began the promotion of the film way earlier. During one of their dance performances at a prestigious award show, Alia had called him Shah and hardly people noticed. But keeping it real in the film is so cute and that shows that SRK… I mean ‘Shah’ is playing himself in the film. The atmosphere inside the Bigg Boss house has heated up and it has heated up and…how! And that too right in the very first week. The commoners are going great in the game and giving sleepless nights to the celebrities. In the wee hours of the night, the commoners do a secret meeting in the washroom area and decide to trouble the celebrities. After much planning and plotting, Priyanka Jagga instructs Om Swami to demand for food. For the uninitiated, celebrities are the servants, while the common folks are the maaliks of the house, which clearly means that the celebs have to oblige to each and every request made by the commoners. So Swami relents to Priyanks’s evil idea. Unwillingly, the sevaks get up from their slumber and prepare food for Swami. The dining table heats up again as another abusive argument breaks out between Om Swami and Rahul Dev, wherein the latter calls the former a ‘tharki buddha‘. But that wasn’t it, soon after one argument comes to end, another one breaks between Priyanka and Rohan Mehra. Priyanka even punishes Rohan thereafter and asks him to wash her clothes in the middle of the night. Gosh, too many fights in just one episode, but hey, we aren’t complaining.

But looks like Mona Lisa is having major issues with all the constant fights because while everyone is busy getting into these massive war of words, Mona Lisa goes up to the camera and breaks down and requests Bigg Boss to get her out of the house. The lady doesn’t know that her wishes might just come true considering she is in the danger zone and she isn’t doing anything great to get viewers to vote for her. Cut to next morning, where we see Swami apologizing to the sevaks for his unjust behaviour. What a player! Celebrities decide to bury the hatchet and forgive Swami. Gaurav Chopra then informs the commoners that Om Swami is bad mouthing them behind their backs. Swami tells everyone that his own team is using him against the celebrities. While this leaves the commoners in a state of shock, they soon infer that Swami is playing a double game. Happy realisation, we must say.

In the midst of all this, Bigg Boss introduces two more riddles and asks the celebrities to decode the secret. For those of you, who missed the previous episodes, this is a part of the first Luxury Budget task wherein celebs have to match dark secrets with relevant commoners. If the celebs win this luxury budget task, they will become the masters of the house. So yeah, a lot is at stake with this one. It is obvious that at this joyous occasion -the anniversary of the release of their debut film- they must be missing their co-star Sid. So at the end of their video they demand Sid to post a video as a reply to theirs. And Sid complied with their request. Aww…so cute. Sid says in his video that he is very thankful to Karan for giving him “film that gave him birth”.

Sidharth, who after Student of the Year, went on to star in various hit films like Ek Villain and Kapoor and Sons, certainly wa super sweet in this video he posted. His video is so so different from Alia and Varun’s videos. We wonder how these three got along. And did you notice that Sidharth called Alia and Varun his family? Aww… we so cannot wait to see the three of them together in another movie. Any movie! Maybe they all will make a cameo in Student of the Year sequel that is in pre production stage with Tiger Shroff as the male lead. Also, remember Koffee with Karan is returning? So we are so hopeful to see them together on the Koffee couch again in this season and see if they can beat the ratings of the previous episode they featured on.

After Ravi Dubey, Nikita Dutta and Sargun Mehta it’s Kishwer Merchant who became a victim to the dreaded disease. The actress confirmed the news with Tellychakkar saying,” Yes, I am down with dengue and admitted in hospital.” In fact, the actress can’t even attend her boyfriend Suyyash Rai’s first unplugged night event. Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchant have been dating for a really long time and had even participated in Bigg Boss 9 together. The two stood up for each other throughout the show giving all other couples major relationship goals. Kishwer was one of the strongest contestants on the show and she had quit the show to make Prince Narula win. Prince even shared the winning prize money with her.

Kishwer and Suyyash confirmed their wedding plans a couple of months back and will be getting married this Decmeber itself. Suyyash told a leading entertainment portal that,” Yes, the wait has finally ended (laughs). After thinking a lot on it, we have decided to tie the knot this year itself i.e. in the month of December. We have decided a date too, but it is soon to reveal that; we will reveal that too.” Aww! Aamir Khan releases one film a year, and takes the box office by storm. He plans on to do the same with Dangal this year. The sports based drama is all set to release on Christmas this year. The first trailer of the film will release in a few hours but before that here are two stills of the film to get you all pumped up for the release. Aamir appears in two different looks in the stills which indicates the age shift we will see over the course of the film. One of the stills is a closeup of Aamir’s face, and he is sporting a moustache in it. In the other still we see Aamir with no moustache but with a scruff. Also visible in this still is Sakshi Tanwar, who is playing Aamir’s wife in the film.

Dangal will be the second film based on wrestling to release this year. Earlier, Salman Khan’s Sultan released and was a box office success. But while Salman’s was a fictional account of a man named Sultan who goes on to become a MMA wrestler from an Olympic champion, Aamir’s film is a biopic based on Mahavir Phogat’s life. Mahavir trained his daughters in the sport of wrestling, and the girls went on to win laurels for our country.

The film marks to be the silver screen ticket to not one or two but 4 young girls who will be seen playing the role of Aamir Khan’s daughters. Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra as Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat and Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar as their younger versions.

The Dangal team has been on a preview spree, with multiple screenings of the film being held for industry insiders. The experts have a lot of good things to say about the film which is out and out touted to be ‘This years most entertaining film’. All that buzz and the positive feedback. Shabana Azmi watched the upcoming film Dangal at a special screening on her 66th birthday. She said it was the best birthday gift for her.

Dangal is led by the National Award winning director, Nitesh Tiwari. And we so cannot wait for the trailer.

Rejecting filmmaker Karan Johar’s statement that he will not “engage with talent” from Pakistan in future, the MNS today protested outside a cinema hall here while asserting that it will not allow “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” to be screened in single theatres and multiplexes.

Four MNS film wing workers were later detained by police after they protested outside the Metro cinema hall in South Mumbai, asking the management not to hold any show of movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

“The MNS activists were raising slogans outside the Metro theatre for some time. The police asked them to carry it out peacefully but they were not in a mood to listen to us. We have detained four MNS workers so far,” a police officer from Azad Maidan police station said.

Seeking to assuage tempers over opposition to the release of his directorial venture, Johar had yesterday made a fervent appeal against stalling the release, saying he will not engage with talent from Pakistan.

However, the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) today said reality has dawned late on Johar.

MNS cine wing head Amey Khopkar, after a meeting with senior party leaders and Raj Thackeray, told PTI that they were firm on opposing the release. “We will not allow the film to be screened in single screens and multiplexes. Reality has dawned late on the producer,” Khopkar said.

The MNS protested outside Metro cinema he said, adding that such protests will be held at all cinema halls.

The MNS and some other political parties have opposed release of films with actors from Pakistan after the Uri terror attack, putting a question mark on the fate of Johar’s movie, slated for a pre-Diwali release on October 28.

The Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India too decided not to screen films with Pakistani actors in four states — Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa.

Johar’s film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is facing trouble for Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s extended cameo.

A team from Johar’s Dharma Productions along with filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt and Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios had yesterday met Mumbai’s top police officials and sought protection for the theatres to screen the film.

Assuring all help from their end, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Dudhe had said, “Mumbai police will provide adequate protection to cinema theatres as and when required.”

Right from her entry in the Bigg Boss 10 house, Lokesh Kumari Sharma has been amusing us. Lokesh is a bubbly and free-spirited girl who loves herself and her family. So much that she even says ‘HI’ to them on camera. Last time she woke up to facing the camera and saying,”Main apne friends aur family ko hi bolna chahti hu. Hi.” and we think it’s damn sweet. She is the special reporter of the Bigg Boss 10 house and keeps updating us with the happenings in the house in the cutest way possible. Though the other contestants do not take her seriously at all and just make fun of her, she tries her best to not let any of it affect her. Amidst all the tension, fights and disagreements in the house, Lokesh is that one person who shows us the brighter side of Bigg Boss 10.

Lokesh is a typical next-door girl and the foodie lives by the mantra to have maximum fun as you can in life. Her decision to come on the Bigg Boss 10 seems to be a natural one given her strong personality. Lokesh is both confident, yet believes in keeping things personal. #A remake of Broken?

The film is said to be the remake of Korean film Broken and going solely by that film, it’s gonna be EPIC. In that one, the hero, a widower has a 15-year old daughter. When the girl is found raped and murdered, the unlikely protagonist becomes a killer on the run to take revenge on two of her assailants. The only difference the two films said to have is here it’s his wife who gets murdered and he is a blind man avenging her death.

Priyanka Jagga has earned a reputation of being dramatic and picking fights unnecessarily in the Bigg Boss 10 house. Recently, we broke the news that Karan Mehra is fasting for his wife, Nisha Rawal and he revealed in the show that he does it every year. While that made everybody go awww, Priyanka, who is constantly craving for attention. Priyanka does not fast for karva chauth but decides to do the karva chauth puja for her husband and family. And yes, it doesn’t go down without a drama. Not only does she fight with everyone while doing the puja but also gets everyone else in the house fighting with each other.

She comes to the garden all dressed up, faces the camera and chants some mantras for her husband and family. She also stops and turns to check herself out (yeah, she really did that). She then asks Swamiji to help her with the puja and says that it is for her husband and family at least 6-7 times. She doesn’t do the puja without getting into an argument with Lopamudra Raut and Rohan Mehra. Priyanka speaks very rudely with them and Antara Biswas aka Monalisa who is already miffed with Priyanka’s drama does not take this lightly. She tells Priyanka that she cannot be this rude with them to which Priyanka says that she is and will be rude. Lopa and Rohan leave the jail area to stay out of all the drama. Manu interferes and asks everyone to let her do the puja. While Priyanka is busy with her puja, Monalisa taunts that she is just acting for the camera. Swami Omji Maharaj blesses Priyanka as he is chanting mantras and then passes a comment at Monalisa saying she will never understand traditions. After the puja, Priyanka comes to her natural form when she is done praying. To add to the drama, Manveer also butts in accusing Monalisa of questioning Indian customs and traditions. He even tells her that she will have to be married to know how it is to which Bani says that it was Swamiji who provoked her to say things.

And Priyanka Jagga is mumbling to herself in the bathroom. The ‘diva’ of the house is quiet as all the other contestants are fighting among each other.
