Apart from a lion, if you had to pick an animal, which one would you choose and why?

Dear Alia, I would say a monkey. I like monkeys, they are sweet. I like the way they hang and stuff. Especially in Jungle Book, the way they talk and behave, is something I love. I would have anyway not picked a lion. Everybody tries to be the lion. Though I have the mane, I like monkeys a lot. Especially when I was young. Also, if you have seen Jungle Book, you will remember them saying, ‘I have a little banana.’ I love monkeys but I am very scared of them. I have put that fear in Raees too, but then again, I love them because they are so human-like — weird, strange and very nasty!

When was the last time you scrubbed your lips with strawberries?

Dear Deepika, I have better lip balm now. From Alia. But this strawberries thing is a joke. My lips get dark and I read something on the Internet: ‘How to get your lips to look red?’ And they said we should rub strawberries. One day on the sets of Chennai Express, I found out that they used to get strawberries. So full day, I used to keep rubbing strawberries on my lips. Only at that place Wai. That’s the last time and I haven’t scrubbed them since then!

Since you love blacks, blues and whites so much, would you ever wear any other colour besides that?

Given a choice, no! I have to fight with my designers when they give me different colours. Black, white and blue and at the most, bahut push ho gaya toh grey. But I don’t like colours. I feel awkward wearing colourful clothes. If it’s not in a film.

How do you have this gift of holding on to a conversation and investing so much time, no matter how busy you are?

Dear Arjun, It’s because I’m interested in people. I love people. And I hardly get to meet them. Not you, because you are a movie star and my colleague, so I keep meeting you guys often. I have no other access to the outside world, so when I do meet someone from outside this industry, I am genuinely curious to know how this is working. It could be someone completely way out and a lot of times, people even pull me away saying, ‘What are you talking to this person for?’ I find it very interesting. Most of the actors don’t have that. People may still say that ‘Oh, I have friends and all’ but you do lose touch with the outside world once you are a movie star because you are mostly in studios.

After the supreme success and stardom you’ve achieved, do you still have stage fright?

Dear Sooraj, Oh yeah! Extreme stage fright. My knees knock, I am nervous but I am fortunate that I am one of those people whose palms don’t sweat. I hate sweaty palms. But yeah, I am very scared to go live on stage. Even till date. Even if it’s just a small little gig.

Everybody standing outside Mannat thinks you are living in Jannat. What’s that one thing you haven’t experienced and would ask Zindagi for?

Dear Harshvardhan Follow your gut. If you are unique, you will become a big star. If you aspire to be what you want, you will face obstacles but overall, if you continue doing that, you will definitely be unique. Like I remember we were talking about this in an earlier interview. Anushka had said that actors should do what they want to and not what people want them to.

Dear Sajid, I think half and half! (Laughs) Some just love the sweetness and the sexiness in my voice. I don’t know. I speak irrespective of what they feel.

Not on a daily basis do you come across a news flashing, ‘what’s up with Hrithik Roshan and Jacqueline Fernandez?’ The gorgeous looking pair have come together for business and no fun! Let us break it down for you before you get upset and let your speculation bug buzzing. Hrithik and Jacky have been roped in by Dia Mirza’s husband, Sahil Sangha for a brand campaign video. While the duo did share their thoughts on this reunion, courtesy Sahil, details of the same were a mystery. However, a leading tabloid has broken it down for us so we get a better understanding of what’s actually cooking between them.

The tabloid stats that the duo were game for a global campaign video. It’s a mixture of romance, dance, banter and yes, some bit of action as well! When asked Sangha about it, he said,”When I narrated the concept to Hrithik, he immediately agreed to be a part of it.” Well, who wouldn’t be if the theme is so quirky. Basically, the video consists of what happens when a date goes wrong! They were on a two day schedule and shooting of the same occurred at Mehboobn studio. Remember earlier this week, we had shared pictures of Hrithik, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone all at one place? Well, now we know for sure that Mr Roshan was around for a shoot as the others stuck to their work schedule as well.

Sangha had sweet words for Jacqueline as well. He stated. “Hrithik sets very high dance standards but Jacqueline matched him step for step. She’s a quick learner and has a great attitude.” Isn’t that something we already know? Fernandez is quite a diva when on the dance floor and several of her songs are proof of the same! While he continued speaking of his experience of filming these two hotties, Sahil also divulged on how Mr Roshan was a total sport and gave his all while shooting. “He’s completely committed and will back your vision 100 percent. Once he’s convinced, Hrithik’s eyes twinkle.” said the filmmaker. Having wrapped up this project, the launch will take place on November 21, and it’ll be every bit grand as it’ll happen in Dubai!

EXCLUSIVE: Hiba Nawab returns to TV this time as a queen on Star Plus’ new show with Vishal Karwal and that would be an Indian adaptation of Games Of Thrones. Indian TV shows always seem to taken inspiration from popular international shows and after adapting Homeland, Star Plus is gearing to adapt ‘Game of Thrones‘ .

The show is tentatively been called King’s Daughter though the title will change to a filmi name soon. The pilot of the show is currently been shot in Mumbai. The show is been produced by Vivek Behl, Nisaar Parwez and Aalim Srivastava as a joint venture.

The American TV series is very popular in Indian audience as well and people watch all the seasons and episodes online. Its a fantasy show with interesting twists and turns that makes it appealing for Indian audience. Earlier Vikas Gupta was also adapting game of Thrones called ‘Rani Mahal‘ for Sony TV. The show had a star cast of Sakshi Tanwar, Path Samthan , Reena Roy and Anita Hassnandani. But the project was later scrapped over creative differences . But it seems Star Plus has picked up what Sony TV left.
‘Game of Thrones’ is a fantasy drama series that is very popular worldwide and since the time the show premiered in 2011 has been a runaway hit in all its seasons. It airs on HBO in US and is currently showing the 8th season. The show had an ensemble cast and the series was shot in scenic locations of Europe.

For the Indian version the story has been adapted to Indian characters .Hiba Nawab will be playing the daughter of the king and Vishal will play the warrior. A huge set has been erected at Mumbai film city where the shooting is happening.

This is Hiba Nawab ‘s second show after Meri Sasu Maa. Hiba made her debut with Channel V ‘s ‘Crazy Stupid Ishq’ and went on to play Amaya in Star Plus show ‘Tere Shehar Mein’. After the unsuccessful show wrapped up last year she returned with Zee TV ‘s ‘Meri Sasu Maa’ with Pearl Puri as the lead. The show could not rate well on TRPS and was in news for Hiba’s affair with pearl.

While Vishal Karwal will also return to Tv after a long time since he was seen last in Jamai Raja. He was recently seen in Vikram Bhatts film ‘1920-Evil Returns‘ With Meera Chopra and Sharman Joshi. Vishal started with career with reality shows like Roadies and Splitsvilla and made his fiction debut with Bhagyavidhata. Later on he did shows like Pratha and Dwarakadheesh. The big turn of his life was doing Big Boss 6 where he was linked with model Karishma Kotak. Later he did cameos in shows like Rang Rasiya and Jamai Raja but has not played a main lead role. So this show will be his comeback as a main lead after a really long time.

The Star Plus adaptation of Game of Thrones will have massive GFX and colorful sets and costumes and the channel is ensuring the quality matches the international standards that ‘Game of Thrones’ has set worldwide.

Yes, Salman Khan will be on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan season 5. The actor who opened the last season will be seen again this year on the couch again. However unlike last year and Salman will not go solo. Buzz was that the actor will be accompanied by his ex lover Katrina Kaif on the show. Going by BollywoodLife sources that might not happen. Instead Salman will be on Karan’s popular chat show with not one but two of his dearest people. So it will not be Katrina Kaif, but Salman will be seated with his two brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. We bet this not short of a casting coup. Who said only women can be goofy? Sameer, played by Saif Ali Khan, in Dil Chahta Hai, is the perfect guy who is just goofy and cute. He also paved way for metrosexual trend amongst men, and a lot of men would thank him for that.

After a brief break (thanks to Bollywood celebs doing a fantastic job with fashion), we’re back again this week with our list of worst dressed celebs. Well, again, there are a few surprises but doesn’t that happen every time? This time we have a surprise entry of Ranbir Kapoor. We’ll divulge on that in a bit but before I even start, I’d like to add how Deepika Padukone managed to turn heads and make people frown in one week, with her fashion! Remember her first international red carpet appearance? It received mixed to good reviews from fashion critics. Her outing as she left for MTV EMAs did leave us a little worried about what’s next in store. But she did clean up pretty well. Wearing a Monisha Jaisingh, she stole hearts with the sultry slit going right up to her thigh!

But that happened last week. Because of her EMA avatar, we thought, eh, we can forgive the mishap she had. You can check out the outfit right here. However, when it comes to these celebs who have come in the bottom five of the worst dressed, it is saddening to see how they goofed up. In fact, they didn’t even have any outstanding look to save them from falling in this list. Anyway, my rant might go on and on so you can just skip all the crap and jump straight to the worst dressed celebs list. Oh and mind you, I’ve reasoned out why I believe they have performed poorly on our style meter.

Snore is the word for this ensemble. Gosh, I need to wake up and face life and the fact that Mr Kapoor wore the week’s most boring outfit! This dull ensemble is so unlike Ranbir’s personality onscreen that it made me wonder, ‘what’s keeping you worried, bro?’ The Tods ensemble,. the shirt, trousers and even the jacket looks like a lazy attempt at trying to dress to impress. There was absolutely no effort put to liven up this look. Look at those shoes! They almost get camouflaged with the trousers and not in a good way. Quite frankly, the jacket is kinda the saving grace of this otherwise dull outing.

Oh no! What have you done PeeCee? I anyways wasn’t a big fan of the Vivienne Westwood silver outfit you were wearing by the J Mendel fur jacket is just bad on a whole new level! Yes, the look does remind me of Sin City and the part with solo colours added to a black and white film. But that doesn’t mean you look concrete with bad prints all over you. The pumps are further making the look too, silvery? *eyes cringe* The fur, while I believe is gorgeous AF, is not the right jacket to go with this ensemble.

Perhaps it’s a Prabal Gurung thing, to tear apart and restitch his outfits. Sadly, when some of them aren’t done tastefully, they just fall flat. Do you remember Sonam Kapoor’s yellow fashion faux pas during Neerja? We may have found another bad outfit by the celebrated designer. This time, it’s Alia’s turn. Like, why did you have to create that off slit, Prabal? And Miss Bhatt, why did you have to wear it? I’ve seen you wear some of Gurung’s best stuff then what made you choose this one? On her Instagram, she expressed how much she likes the designer and even loves the outfit, personally, I think the slit attempt is a turn off.

Hrithik Roshan’s golden girl definitely donned a botanical garden in the form of an Andrew GN gown! With the rosy background, Hegde’s floral gown fell flat, quite literally. Wise choice would’ve been to dress plainly with less work on the outfit, considering the noisy background. Not that I’m saying I liked the gown, it was too mediocre for an awards function. Do you feel the same? ‘Cause I sure as hell do!

Quite honestly, I couldn’t make up my mind on whether Jacky’s Andrew GN gown was atrocious or her makeup. Sorry to say this but with the kind of bod you have, there was so much better you could’ve done. Even if it is for a party. In fact, you should’ve brought on your gown charm with thigh high slits and bodycon like appearances. You can see very clearly that the sheer sleeves were total drab. The gown’s black flower power also fell flat for some reason. Add her terribly done makeup. Perhaps it’s the picture that’s making her look tired but the eyelashes were definitely not flattering.

Sasural Simar Ka actor Dheeraj Dhoopar married Vinny Arora in Delhi in a traditional Punjabi ceremony. Kishwer Merchantt and Suyyash Rai also announced their wedding date. Hina Khan
After a long journey of eight years with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Hina Khan finally bid adieu to the show.  The lady will be shown dead before her birthday celebrations, which are a huge affair for the Singhania household. We will also see Shivangi Joshi aka Naira dress up as Akshara for the grand function. Hina has said that she will take a long break and consider something after six months or so. Buzz is she will start a production house with beau, Rocky Jaiswal. She also admitted that leaving the show was one of the toughest decisions of her life. Kishwer Merchantt – Suyyash Rai
TV’s much-loved duo Kishwer and Suyyash finally announced their wedding date. It is happening on December 16 in Mumbai. The prior ceremonies mehendi and sangeet will be held a day prior. Some of the functions will be at Chandigarh. The two had met years before on the sets of Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani. From friendship to love, it was a lovely journey for the couple. The marriage will be a Punjabi affair and the couple plan to jet off to Europe for a long honeymoon. Suyyash has been planning for it now. Sartaj Gill
The handsome hunk is one of the new actors who made an impact on audiences in a short span of time. Buzz was that he is quitting Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani where he plays the Raja. His chemistry with Eisha Singh is the highlight of the show and this news came as a shocker. However, Sartaj clarified that it was just a rumour and that he is very much a part of the show. The actor made his debut in Begusarai and impressed everyone with his act of Priyom Thakur. Fans can get some relief now.

Dheeraj Dhoopar and Vinny Arora
Sasural Simar Ka actor Dheeraj Dhoopar tied the knot with long-time girlfriend, Vinny Arora in Delhi. The two were dating since seven to eight years. Dheeraj and she met on the sets of Swarg and are going steady since then. The marriage in Delhi was attended by Rannvijay Singha, Jayati Bhatia, Ssumier Pascricha, Ridhi Dogra, Angad Hasija and Pracheen Chauhan. The bride and groom looked radiant at the event.

Mukesh Rawal
In a sad turn of events, actor Mukesh Rawal who played Vibhishan on Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan was found dead on Borivali’s railway tracks. The actor was also seen on shows like Hasratein and Koi Apna Sa. Mukesh was also prolific on the Gujarati theatre circuit. While initially it was doubted as a suicide, new reports suggest it was an accident. Condolences poured in from the industry.

Samir Soni
After a long time, we will see Samir back on TV on a show that is an Indian adaptation of a Turkish one. The actor will be seen with actresses Smriti Kalra and Simone Singh. It is a show on the concept of forbidden love and is produced by Vikram Bhatt.

Meenu Mausi
Fans of Meenu Mausi were in for a disappointment as the show got scrapped. Meenu Mausi was supposed to be Sanaya Irani’s comeback show along with Harshad Chopra. It seems it has been put on hold as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has got an extension. The production house can revive it later. However, it seems the channel has issues with the casting of the show.

The biggest excitement this week has been 2.0’s first look launch. It’s all set to be a grand event at Yashraj Studio on 20 November. Apart from the film starring Rajinikanth, the superstar, another big highlight is Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut as a villain. Yes, in his first film itself he gets to have a face off with the Thalaiva! Moreover, the first poster also featured the Bollywood biggie along with the Tamil star. He plays Dr Richards who turns into a crow as a result of a wrong experiment.

While not eveyrone gets a chance like this one, it’s not first time a Bollywood actor has debuted as a villain down south.

Neil Nitin Mukesh

He played the famous antagonist opposite Vijay in Kaththi and boy, he did a brilliant job. He was your typical smooth suave villain that you grow to almost respect. And can you believe it, he dubbed in Tamil for his role. He was all praises for Vijay who he believes was very secure as  an actor. In fact, in an interview with a leading portal, he even attributes the success of his role to Vijay –  “If it weren’t for Vijay, my character wouldn’t have probably shaped the way it has.”

Sharad Kelkar

Sharad Kelkar made his Telugu debut as a villain in Sardar Gabbar Singh 2. The film also starred Power star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan. Imagine in his first film itself, he got to have a face off with the power star! After the makers saw his performance in a serial, they finalised on him.

All people are talking about at the moment is just about Global Citizen concert that will be happening tomorrow. Reportedly 80,000 fans are going to be present at the event and well, why wouldn’t they be! One of Britain’s biggest rock band is coming to India to perform. What else can you expect? But it’s not just the fact that Coldplay will be coming but also that many Bollywood celebs have collaborated with this project to spread awareness as well as entertain the audience. A few months ago, a small goof up done by Google India’s Twitter leaked one of the best news of all time. Although later it was officially announced, but the news was already out and arrangements for the same. Rumours of the ticket cost ranging upto Rs 25,000 were also doing the rounds but what Global Citizen had in mind was way more grand than that.

Just so you get a 360 degree idea of what the Global Citizen concert is about, we’ve compiled all the information you need on the same. This guide is something you can take with you and refer to when at the concert. Others can just feel jealous about the things you missed out.

What Is It?
The Global Citizen is an organisation headed by Hugh Evans, believes spreading more awareness on social service. From a vision of seeing a cleaner city to a mission of bringing about hygienic sanitation habits, the organisation aims to eradicate all the issues that plague countries. They had held a concert in the US in the month of August. Priyanka Chopra was also a part of it as she hosted one segment. The organisation promotes sanitation, clean water, gender equality, quality education and a lot of such initiatives. They are holding a festival in India for the first time.

Where Is It Happening?
The event is going to happen at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra, Mumbai. The ground has witnessed a lot of award shows and concerts in the past. However, this will be one of a kind as we’ll be seeing a lot, and by that we mean, A LOT of celebs together! The gate opens at 10:30 in the morning. But yes, most of the action will take place post 1:30.

International Stars Attending the Event
The highlight of the event is obviously be the performance of the international band Coldplay. Christ Martin, lead singer has already landed in India and has started rehearsing for the big day. In fact, we caught him on Parineeti Chopra‘s Snapchat as well where the duo were having a chat amid practice sessions. Apart from the British band, Jay Z, Demi Lovato, The Vamps will also be coming. While we haven’t spotted Jay Z and Demi yet, we did click The Vamps at the airport.

Bollywood Celebs Performing
Amitabh Bachchan with Shillong Chamber Choir, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, will be performing at the concert tomorrow. The eight-and-a-half hour long show will have various segments that will be hosted by stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Riteish Deshmukh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Malaika Arora Khan. Parineeti and Arjun have been giving us glimpses of their rehearsals over the last few days. Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Vivek Oberoi, Muhammad Yunus, Kailash Satyarthi and Narendra Singh Tomar will also spread awareness and talk about several initiatives.

Djs and Singers Who Will Perform
In the singer’s category, we’ll see, AR Rahman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Arijit Singh Ananya Birla, Karsh Kale with Midival Panditz, DJ Lost Stories, DJ Clement, Electroverts and Monali Thakur will also perform.

Sportspersons Who Will Attend
Famous sportspersons like Sachin Tendulkar, Leander Paes, Sakshi Malik and Vijender Singh too will influence the youth and make them aware.

Shahid and Mira expressed their desire to come on the show. Nothing about his character has been revealed, but in an interview with a leading daily, he was all praises for the humble superstar. In fact, when the actor put up a picture of him with Rajinikanth, a lot of questions were asked,”“I was not shooting with Rajinikanth on the day when I took this picture. Rajini dropped on the sets one day and casually asked Shankar about the shooting and the actors who were part of the schedule. When he heard that I was acting my portions, he expressed his interest in meeting me. I was over the moon when I heard that the Superstar wants to talk to me. That proves his humility. This is one quality that every actor in the country should learn from him!”

Just few months ago Tusshar Kapoor was in headlines for becoming a proud surrogate father. Today Laksshya is his life and he just cannot do anything with him. The actor today has turned 40 and Bollywoodlife got in touch with him for his birthday plans. The actor revealed that he will plan everything last minute. He said “There is no party as such, as we party almost every day. There will be an intimate celebration with close friends and family.”

Talking about his best birthday childhood memory, Tusshar revealed, “When you are a kid, birthdays are a big deal. We used to party in our society and my Superman costume is still the favourite one.”

We also quizzed how fatherhood has changed his life, to which he replied, “Laksshya has become everyone’s apple of the eyes. I only think about him and my work is scheduled according to him.” We asked the actor when will see get to see his Prince’s glimpse, “Soon. I take him for outings almost everyday but I haven’t released his images to the media. I will do that at the right time.” Well Tusshar, we are indeed looking forward to see him.

What’s a romantic or soulful album without a track from Arijit Singh. Kausar Munir’s lyrics are the heartbeat of this number. Amit Trivedi’s music does wonders once again. Alia Bhatt looks utterly pretty in the song, and Kunal Kapoor looks handsome.

Teri Fariyad (Tum bin 2)

Tum Bin 2 is out and many have noticed that the only good thing about the film is this song. Teri Fariyad is a rehash of the hit song from Tum Bin. The song manages to retain the soulful quality of the first song, whilst having its own unique identity. Just marvelous! The song’s melancholic tone stays with you for long. There are absolutely no words that could come close to do justice to praising Jagjit Singh. Rekha Bhardwaj’s vocals perfectly compliment Jagjit Singh’s voice. Kudos to Ankit Tiwari for this song. You and Me (Befikre)

This song from Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s Befikre has very pop feel to it. Nikhil D’Souza, Rachel Varghese have sung the fun number and the lyrics are penned down by Jaideep Soni. Famous music composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani have given the music.

Cutiepie (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil)

This super cute song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is soaring high. Ranbir Kapoor is looking so adorable in this number. The song is a big hit on Dubsmash and Musically. We are sure even your news feed on social media platforms is full of people re-enacting this song in their own style. Amitabh bhattacharya’s lyrics are the backbone of this fun number. Pardeep Singh Sran and Nakash Aziz perfectly voice the song, which has 8 million views on Youtube as of now.

Yaara 

AR Rahman, Sanam Puri with his band, Jonita Gandhi, Sanah Moidutty, Raaga Trippin, Maati Baani and Mumbai’s Finest –  all in one song. Of course this song had to be awesome. This soulful ditty talks about erasing borders and how well it does. The crescendo in the song has the power to give you goosebumps. The variation in notes are so soothing. There is also somehow a rap in between. And when the chorus hits you, it’s heavenly. You have got to listen to this song to actually believe how awesome it is.

Today’s the day. 2.0 first look will be unveiled in a grand event at Yashraj studio in Mumbai!  We can’t contain our excitement! And you know why? The entire cast and crew – Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth, Shankar, Amy Jackson will be in attendance. The event will be hosted by Karan Johar. The excitement is even more because the makers released the first ever poster on Wednesday. The poster featured Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in equal measure. While we are wondering what the look will be about, here are 5 reasons why we are excited as hell about the first look launch

Live streaming 

This si the first ever launch event that will be suing modern technology. While  those attend the first look will witness it live, the event will also be livestreamed on Lyca’s Youtube channel along with its app. Yes, that’s right! Everyone gets a chance to be apart of this event.

Akshay Kumar’s poster 

Apart from the first look, they will also unveil a separate poster of both of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. While of course, we can’t wait to see Rajinikanth’s poster, it’s Akshay Kumar’s poster we are super intrigued about. After all he’s playing the baddie opposite Rajinikanth. He plays Dr Richards who turns into a crow as a result of a wrong experiment. His look for the movie had recently been leaked and that has made us more curious.

Rajinikanth film 

After Kabali, here is another reason to be excited. When it’s a Rajinikanth film, that’s reaosn enough to pump you up! Go thalaiva! And of course, the fact that in this movie, it will be triple the action as he plays a three roles – Dr Vaseegaran, Chitti and an evil character.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan

If having the entire crew in attendance for the launch wasn’t enough, we now here that Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan are invited for this grand event. So many stalwarts for one event. Sigh. *fingers crossed*

First ever look of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 

Well, this is a moment we have been waiting for and it will eb finally out in a few hours. We will finally get to catch a glimpse of the much awiated sci-fi film directed by Shankar. The first poster itself was grand and beautifully designed,  we now have sky high expectation forms the first look launch.
