Bajirao Mastani, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, opened slowly but has managed to maintain a steady run at the domestic box office. The film had experienced a dip on Monday, however it has been steady since then as it earned another Rs 9.21 crore on Wednesday (day 6) to take its total collection to Rs 75.63 crore at the end of 6 days at the domestic box office.
The film has maintained a good occupancy and has managed to have a steady collections. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed, “#BajiraoMastani Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 15.52 cr, Sun 18.45 cr, Mon 10.25 cr, Tue 9.40 cr, Wed 9.21 cr. Total: Rs 75.63 cr. EXCELLENT HOLD!”
The film is expected to cross the 100 crore marks by Saturday according to trade experts. The film had already received good reviews from critics and by the end of the weekend, the film started receiving a positive word of mouth after people loved the film. This has helped Bajirao Mastani capitalise and have a steady run at the box office. Word of mouth publicity will help the film convert the second weekend into a beneficial weekend. Bajirao Mastani has performed well at the international markets too and with no major release till January 8, the film is expected to continue its steady run at the domestic and international box offices.
