Last week on Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera, we saw how Ranvijay (Shivin Narang) and Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi) intuitively know when something bad is about to happen to the other.

On one hand, Megha (Shibani Kashyap) leaves Ranvi and motivates him to prove his capability by winning the show purely on his talent without her influence. On the other hand, Veera meets with an accident after her date with Baldev (Vishal Vashishtha).

In the upcoming episode, Ranvi begins to sense that something has happened to Veera and frantically tries to call his family, but no one answers. This worries Ranvi and he is unable to concentrate on the competition. Veera is admited to the hospital where she requests her family to not inform Ranvi. She calls her brother and informs him that all is well at home and he should keep performing better with or without Megha.

However, Gunjan (Farnaz Shetty) will figure out about Veera’s condition but will not reveal the secret to Ranvi? Will the elder brother figure out what’s wrong with his sister? Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights with Kapil has gone international. For the first time ever, the cast and crew of CNWK together shot for a special episode in Dubai. While we are sure they had a blast shooting for this unusual episode, celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Imran Abbas Naqvi, Mika Singh and Shaan too seemed to have a great time while promoting their respective films on the show.

While Palak (Kiku Sharda) kept everyone in splits with her funny antics, Dadi (Ali Asgar) had a gala time giving ‘shagun ki pappis’ to the Pakistani hunk Imran and our very own rock star Mika Singh. Bips, Mr Naqvi and Vikram Bhatt had already promoted their film once on the show in Mumbai and now flew all the way to Dubai to extend their association with the comedy show.

Divyanka Tripathi was super excited to meet Deepika Padukone on the sets of her daily soap. The actor clicked a selfie with the Finding Fanny actor and posted it on social networking sites.

Divyanka claims she has a South connection with Deepika. “Deepika is a fabulous actress. I loved her in Chennai Express. It’s a coincidence that I am playing an Iyer girl in YHM and she played one in the film. Deepika comes across as a very humble person.”

Well unfortunately, Karan Patel did not get time to spend with Deepika or Arjun Kapoor as he reached late on the sets of the show. Guess some golden opportunities should never be missed

The makers of Happy New Year launched the music of the film in a grand affair today. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah along with director Farah Khan were present for the launch of the film’s music. Our reviewer Prateek Sur is presently listening to all the songs from the album and here is what he has to say about the first impression of the tracks.

Prateek says, “The music of the film is pretty much like Vishal-Shekhar’s previous albums. This album seems to be filled with loads of songs which are high on techno beats. There is definitely a Manwa lage to break the monotonousness but most of the tracks are high on what we call ‘DJ quotient’ . Some songs may remind you of Student Of The Year music album as that too was filled with similar DJ-based songs. However, you may never know what the other songs may hold in store.”

Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus will now have visual effects from a world class VFX supervisor

Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjodaro just keeps getting bigger and bigger. If we recall a few days back Oscar-award nominated and Emmy-award winning costume designer April Ferry was added to the crew. Now Ashutosh has roped in one more Hollywood specialist for the film. Award winning VFX Supervisor Karen Goulekas has been taken on board to handle the VFX department.

Karen, who has won two BAFTA awards for Best Visual Effects, first for The Fifth Element and once again for The Day After Tomorrow. Karen has also worked on films such as Apollo 13, Godzilla, Spiderman, 10,000 BC and more recently The Green Lantern, Looper and Don Jon. Talking to a leading daily, Karen said, “Ashutosh is an amazing story-teller with a beautiful vision for Mohenjodaro. And now our challenge, as his creative team, is to do whatever it takes to get that vision up on that big screen for audiences to share and enjoy.” Ashutosh Gowariker added, “I am super excited to have on board VFX Supervisor Karen Goulekas, who created those astoundingly calamitous effects in The Day After Tomorrow and 10000 BC. I feel fortunate to be working with her on Mohenjodaro and I’m sure this is going to prove a tremendous learning curve for me in the limitless world of VFX.” Producer Sunita Gowariker also informed while speaking to a leading daily, “What excited me about Karen is that across her many films, she has handled the type of VFX sequences we were looking at in Mohenjodaro. It is great having someone on board who has a completely different perspective and so much passion for VFX’.

Mohenjodaro is an epic love story, set during the Indus Valley Civilization jointly produced by Disney India’s Studio business and Ashutosh Gowariker Production Pvt. Ltd. (AGPPL). Starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, the film will go on floors in October 2014 and is slated to release on January 26, 2016.

The Mumbai Film Festival is facing a funds crunch for its forthcoming 16th edition this year and megastar Amitabh Bachchan is urging people to aid it.

Celebrities like Aamir Khan, Hansal Mehta and Anupama Chopra have supported the fest organised annually by the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI).

“The film festival of Mumbai MAMI needs support. It is a flourishing festival that encourages the best in the cinema world. Please!” Amitabh tweeted.

The Khoobsurat actress got candid on Look Who’s Talking with Niranjan

After having her share of hits and flops, Sonam Kapoor is now looking for her Mr. Right.

The 29-year-old may be linked to her I Hate Luv Storys director Punit Malhotra and Mausam co-star Shahid Kapoor, but she is yet to find her man.

In a tete-a-tete on Look Who’s Talking with Niranjan, she opened up about her personal and professional lives, read a statement.

“I am single and on the lookout for a man who won’t let me down. I would like to share all my stories with my children myself and not the image that has been created of me. I also want to be a producer, eventually,” said Sonam, whose younger sister Rhea is a producer.

The episode will be aired Sunday on Zee Cafe.

Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) turns fourteen this year and so does Amitabh Bachchan’s association with the popular game show. The Bollywood megastar finds the longevity “alluring”.

“KBC an association of 14 years and its longevity still alluring,” the 71-year-old tweeted.

It was in the year 2000 that Big B associated himself with KBC, which also marked his foray into the world of television. Not only was the show hugely successful, it widened Big B’s reach, thanks to his demeanour and humility.

KBC, the Indian version of internationally popular show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, is currently in its eighth season and is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

While Pankaj Kapur‘s beta has worked with many directors over the years, he shares special equation with Mr Bhardwaj. In fact, his bond with the Kaminey director is such that he won’t ever turn down his film offer. That’s not all! The biggest reason behind doing Haider was also Vishal Bhardwaj.

The Shandaar actor told us, “When he (Vishal Bhardwaj) offers me a film, its highly unlikely that I won’t do it. Also, the fact that he was making Haider was the biggest factor for me to do the film.”

What a night it was, when the stars shone down at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai as the big wigs of Tamil industry joined hands with Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger to unveil the music and teaser of Vikram’s I. While the audience enjoyed AR Rahman’s live performances of the songs, what captivated the imagination of the masses was splendid teaser of Shankar’s I, which showcased Chiyaan Vikram in four different avatars.

The teaser depicts Vikram in four different get-ups – a moustache bearing body builder, a clean shaven stylish stud, a hunchbacked cripple and a beast. While the effort put by Vikram and his make up team is commendable, we ask you to choose your favourite avatar from the four different makeovers.

The body builder

In an era where our heroes are looking for an opportunity to show off their chiseled torso, Vikram comes off as a bout of fresh air. The actor known for carefully choosing his character, sports washboard abs in Shankar’s I where he is supposed to be playing a fighter. His toned body will have the ladies swooning over him and might inspire the guys to hit the gym.

The Stud

In the teaser, Vikram impresses with his uber cool look, in a stylish lover boy avatar with clean shaven visage, reminding a bit of Remo from Shankar-Vikram’s last collaboration Anniyan. Vikram, the stud, seems to be romancing Amy Jackson in the film and we expect the two to sizzle on screen.

The hunchback cripple

Vikram plays the role of hunchbacked cripple in I, which seems to be taken from the classic prose The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Vikram’s make up for this particular role is top notch as it is very difficult to spot the actor behind all the scales and burn marks. The actor seems to have fully immersed himself into the role as he emotes brilliantly with his eyes.

The Beast

It was rumoured that Chiyaan will be donning werewolf’s avatar. But after watching the teaser, one can safely say that the character is more like the Beast from the fairy tale The Beauty and The Beast. With horns, hairy body, whiskers, sharp teeth and pad foot, Vikram looks deadly as the beast.

After his successful rein in films, the director-producer is making a venture into television with Everest

Like the title suggests – Everest will revolve around the trials and tribulations of climbing the mountain, but that’s not all. Ashutosh Gowarker’s Everest is the journey of an ordinary girl – Anjali who achieves something extra ordinary.

At the age of 21, Ajnali learns that her father – her idol never wanted a girl child. Faced with the biggest conflict of her life, Anjali sets out to conquer her own personal Everest. She decides to complete her father’s unfulfilled dream to summit the Everest.

Everest is not just about climbing the mountain; it deals with the girl child problem that the country currently faces and how she manages to make a mark in a world run by men. She tries to find a place in her father’s heart by achieving something she never believed she could do.

Jigarthanda‘s iconic villain speaks about films and personal life in a candid chat with Bollywoodlife

Post Jigarthanda, there is not one person who doesn’t know Assault Sethu. Bobby Simha played the role so well that it’s character that is strongly etched in everyone’s minds. The success of Jigarthanda has put Bobby Simha on cloud nine and he is gearing up for his next release, Aadama Jaichomada. Bobby had a passion for cinema even as a child and later joined Koothu-P-Pattarai in Chennai to hone his acting skills.

Speaking exclusively to Bollywoodlife, Bobby Simha talks about hosting the audio launch of Shankar’s magnum opus I, movies and more…

The audio launch of Shankar’s I was your first programme as host. How was the experience?

I was extremely nervous. My confidence was a little shaky but I felt I could pull it off. Vikram spoke to me – he said he had seen Jigarthanda and that I had acted really well in the film. I was very happy.

You were the soul of Jigarthanda and essayed the role really well. Is there a fear you may never get a better role?

Definitely – there’s a big question mark! After Assault Sethu, I do have that question. But the answer lies in the future. So let’s see.

Did you struggle to get into films?

I had my share of struggles just like everyone else who aspires to be in films. I came to Chennai in 2005 into the industry. Step by step I got my breaks. I must thank Karthik Subbaraj. I must also thank Kalaignar TV who gave people like us a platform in Naalaya Iyakunar. Every day was a lesson – you may meet the wrong people and make the wrong moves. Everything is a learning process. But the success of Jigarthanda is just the beginning. I want to achieve more. I want to be the first Bobby Simha in the industry!

You must be getting a lot of offers post this film…

Yes, I am getting a lot of offers. I’m playing the lead role and making sure I sign good stories. I am choosing different genres for all my films at this point – different kind of films from the ones I have done earlier. I’m looking at the content. As an actor, you need to prepare for each and every role. You need to have confidence that you can play the role. For Assault Sethu, I prepared for the role for about four months. Director Karthik Subbaraj had etched it really well. In Aadama Jaichomada, I play a cop called Bhoominathan and I have prepared and essayed the role accordingly. I don’t want to get typecast in negative roles. I will never do another role like Assault Sethu. I want to do a variety of roles. I want to work with all the directors in the industry. There’s something to learn from every director and everyday is a learning process. I want to play roles that the audience likes and be a person they like.

Any one film that has affected your life?

Mullum Malarum. There is one dialogue in the movie that I listen to whenever I am feeling low and it cheers me up. When Kali says, “Rendu kai, rendu kaal ponakuda, kali angarava polachikava, sir.” When I hear that my confidence level just goes up.

Tell us about your upcoming release Aadama Jaichomada.

The movie is based on cricket and match-fixing but what happens behind the scenes. It’s shown in a very entertaining fashion. I play a cop called Bhoominathan – a serious, intelligent cop but with a comic touch.

You play the hero in Uru Meen…

Yes, Uru Meen is a thriller-cum-action film. It’s based on a real incident. It’s directed by Sakthivel Perumalsamy. The story is about a guy who comes to Chennai and gets into problems and how he gets out of those issues.

You’re single; dating anyone right now?

(Laughs) No, I just hang out with my guy friends! In fact, sometimes we doint even get entry into pubs because we are stags. If I am not with them, then I am home. My niece is at home so I spend time with her.

Aahil’s step mother is waiting for the love birds to separate so that she can get her hands on the property

Qubool Hai is currently showcasing the blooming romance between Aahil (Karanvir Bohra) and Sanam (Surbhi Jyoti). In the last episode we saw how Aahil was struggling with his feelings for Sanam. When Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta) brought up the topic of his impending divorce from Sanam, he refused to do it.

Sanam and Aahil are planning a dream house, they both secretly know that they love each other, but have not yet mustered the courage to announce it. Tanveer, who is alarmed by their closeness, is trying her level best to keep them apart. She sped up the property transfer process, but Aahil refused to sign it.

In the upcoming episodes, Aahil will tell Tanveer that he does not intend to divorce Sanam yet, but will not reveal the real reason. Bits and pieces of the truth are out, but is Abhi convinced of his wife’s innocence?

Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) is blinded by everything his sister Alia (Shikha Singh) and his girlfriend Tanu have told him. Abhi believes that Pragya (Sriti Jha) helped Purab (Arjit Taneja) elope from the wedding ‘çoz she wanted him to marry Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur).

Abhi’s mind is poisoned by Tanu and when he sees Purab and Pragya at the temple, he assumes the worst case scenario. Abhi decides to come clean to his Dadi and announces his separation. Hearing this news, Pragya’s mother gets a heart attack. However, in the last episode Dadi comes to know the whole truth about Purab and Bulbul. She hugs Pragya and expresses her pride in choosing a good girl as  Abhi‘s life partner.

In the upcoming episode, Dadi will ask Abhi to apologise to Pragya  and get her home. Alia and Tanu will be dead against Dadi’s decision, but will be compelled ‘çoz Abhi won’t go against Dadi. Pragya’s mom’s health condition will improve. Seeing her daughter happy will give her some peace. But Alia and Tanu have a new plan up their sleeves. EXCLUSIVE: The director-producer finds the controversial reality show – Bigg Boss entertaining and educational

The director of magnum opus movies like Jodha Akbar and Lagaan – Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to flag off his television series Everest on Star Plus.

We caught up with Ashutosh Gowariker to find out what is his favourite show on the TV and he promptly said Bigg Boss. “I am a big Bigg Boss fan. Nobody can take the remote away from me when I’m watching Bigg Boss,” said Gowariker Now that was not an answer we were expecting.

When queried about why he loves the show, he said, “What I love about Bigg Boss is the changing personalities every week. This is a great directorisation tool which is very essential for writing. I find that very interesting. However, I wouldn’t like to enter the house ‘çoz it entails a different mindset. Plus there’s too much on my hand right now which won’t let me participate in any reality show.”

It seems, just like us even Ashutosh is eagerly waiting for the new season of the controversial reality show, right!

Believe it or not, but Rekha will be imitating her favourite co-star Amitabh Bachchan in her upcoming film, Super Nani. Yes, you read that right! For those of you who don’t know, Rekha plays Bharti – an older woman, who is much maligned till her grandson, Sharman Joshi, decides to change his old-fashioned nani into a happening granny. And it is on the way of this exciting journey, there is a reference to an ad with Sr Bachchan.

“Anupam Kher, who is an old buddy, comes to the new glam Bharti and offers her an ad with the Big B. Rekha does a take-off on Bachchan’s famous mannerisms, including the trademark `hain’, as is seen in the film’s first trailer which will be unveiled this weekend,“ a source was quoted by a tabloid.

Film’s co-producer and director Indra Kumar confirmed the news, saying, “The scene you refer to is a part of the story, wherein we witness Rekhaji’s transformation and her entry into the modelling world, following which she is offered prestigious TV commercials. When we approached her with this scene in which she had to imitate Mr Bachchan’s famous mannerisms, which we felt would add a fun element to the story, she sportingly agreed. We have shot it in a humorous way.“

In today’s day and age – it’s unreal when stars deny their relationships

Harshad Chopda and Sriti Jha have been rumoured to be dating each other ever since they started working on Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava.

From what we hear, the couple started their relationship on the sets of the show. However, since the story of the show did not creatively satisfy Harshad, he decided to opt out of it. A few days later we hear that even Sriti resigned from the daily soap. With both the leads out of the daily soap, the makers were forced to shut shop.

The media circuits have been rife about the blooming romance between the two actors. But in a recent interview, Harshad refutes the stories and claims that he was never in a relationship with Sriti and that they are just friends. Well you may fool the audience but sources tell us differently.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who has not been keeping well for the past few days, says he is on the road to recovery.

The 71-year-old shared the update on his health via his blog, thanking his fans for outpouring their wishes and support on the medium.

“Thank you all for inquiring after my health…it’s improving gradually,” the megastar posted Tuesday.

The actor was under the weather and he says the cough persists, and it is acting as a hindrance during recordings sessions.

“There is a cough that keeps disturbing me during the recording, but it is being managed…love you all for this concern and the many home remedies that you suggest,” he added.

Amitabh is one of the most active star on social media platform. And declaring his love for the medium, he wrote: “My love and my devotion to this medium remains as ever in the best of the best”.

The makers of Bang Bang have released the latest song from the film. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming magnum opus is laden with beautiful songs and this is another one. Benny Dayal and Neeti Mohan have rendered this on the composition of Vishal-Shekhar. So what do we like about the song and what do we not? Read on to find out…

What’s hot:

-Benny Dayal’s voice is fantastic for such a song. If you remember Badtameez dil, then this one too has similar effect. Neeti Mohan does well in her minimal track-space.

-Hrithik Roshan’s washboard abs (Need we say more!!)

-The cinematography is fantastic. The lavish sets and the use of the varied focus points to have a blurry effect has come out superbly.

-Undoubtedly, Hrithik’s dance steps are to die for. The ease with which he performs the steps is amazing. Even his Michael Jackson tribute has come out really well.

What’s not:

-Hrithik’s abs have been given the maximum footage in the song and, therefore, most of your attention is towards that and not towards the dance steps or the song.

When two people emotionally come close to each other, it becomes easy to bear one’s heart out, but will Aahil take the big leap of faith?

In the last episode of Qubool Hai, Sanam (Surbhi Jyoti) and Aahil (Karanvir Bohra) were busy making their dream house for the contest. They share stories from each other’s life and Aahil reveals the trauma he endured as a child. Sanam sympathises with him and promises to always be by his side.

In the next episode, Sanam finds the hunter that Aahil’s father used on him. She talks to Aahil and requests him to bear his heart out about his father’s death. Aahil, who believes that he murdered his own father gets worried thinking that Sanam will leave him when he reveals the name of the murderer.

Sanam will coax Aahil and Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta) will over hear their conversation. She will try to interrupt them. When that doesn’t work she will try to scare Aahil claiming that Sanam will leave him if she comes to know the truth. Will Aahil talk about his father’s death? Will Sanam still accept Aahil after learning that as a kid he murdered his own father? Or will Sanam put two and two together and figure out that Aahil was never the real murderer.
