After being away for a while from the small screen, television actor Cabir H Maira is back with Star Plus’s hit show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon-Ek Baar Phir. The dashing actor will play the role of Kalindi’s (Prachi Shah) son and his character will be called Ankush.

Confirming the news Cabir said to an entertainment portal, “Yes, it is great to be working with Sphere Origins again. It is a nice company to work with. I cannot reveal much about my character. I will have a rustic look, with a beard and long hair. Whether my character is positive or negative, will be something to watch.”

If sources are to be believed than Cabir’s entry will introduce a new twist in the show as Kalindi herself won’t be aware about her son’s existence. Moreover, Cabir’s character will soon demand a huge share in the property. With so much drama to offer, we can’t wait for this new character to enter the show, right peeps?

The media was rife with rumours of divorce between the Qubool Hai actor and his wife Jennifer Winget

Early in the day, we heard stories of Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget parting ways. Reports claimed that the split was mainly due to KSG’s philandering ways. However, Jennifer Winget responded to the rumours on social networking site by tweeting that everything was fine between Karan and her.

Well we wonder why the dishy actor has not responded to any of the divorce stories. The last time when stories of his ouster from Qubool Hai went viral, KSG was quick to respond in his defense, then why is the actor staying mum on this issue? Is Karan unaffected by the rumours of his divorce?

Well later in the evening Bipasha Basu posted photographs of Karan and her on the sets of their upcoming movie Alone. Guess KSG is extremely busy to bother about rumours on his personal life. Now we draw two conclusions from it – either the actor wants to concentrate on his work than on flimsy stories about his personal life. Or the actor doesn’t want to comment on the turmoil in his life.

Sony TV’s Humsafars produced by Four Lions Film is a love story based in a fashion house. The new promo of the daily soap showcases Arzoo Nausheen Khan (Shivya Pathania) getting her dream job in Sahir Azeem Chaudhary’s ( Harshad Chopda) fashion house.

In their first meeting itself, Sahir orders Arzoo to not dress up in a tent when in office, instead to wear something that goes with the class of his fashion house. Unlike others, who get intimidated by him, Arzoo curtly responds that she is not dressing up to please his eyes. Instead his eyes should only judge the clothes she designs and not what she wears.

Anushka Sharma recently attended the Burberry Spring/Summer show at the London Fashion Week dressed in a stunning Burberry dress and shoes. While we couldn’t take our eyes off the Dil Dhadakne Do star we also spotted another B-Towner wearing the same pair of shoes.

Kangana Ranaut, who loves to wear Burberry was spotted wearing the same peep-toe booties at the launch of a magazine cover in August. Both Anushka and Kangy wore Burberry from head to toe at their respective outings. While Kangana wore the painted booties with a powder-blue Burberry Pre-Fall collection dress, Anushka decided to rock the booties with an oxford blue side-slit Burberry dress.

The Kick actor is working very hard for his upcoming film, so we hear

As many of you might already know, Salman Khan is known to come late and delay shoots. But that’s not the case on the sets of his upcoming film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which is being directed by Sooraj Barjatya.

A source closely associated with the film reveals, “Salman reaches on sets before call time. Apart from being punctual, he is also working very dedicatedly for this film. Sooraj is super impressed with Salman’s punctuality and dedication.” And we love that too. It’s certainly good to hear that Salman is taking this film seriously.

Apart from Salman, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will also feature Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Armaan Kohli. The film is set to hit the theatres sometime next year.

Tamil movie buffs are heading to a delightful Diwali this year. Three films – Vijay’s Kaththi, Vikram’s I and Vishal’s Poojai are slated to clash during the festival of lights. While the teasers for Poojai and Shankar’s I are already out, today the makers of Kaththi unveiled the film’s teaser along with the music at a grand event here in Chennai.

While the teaser of I set the entire K-town buzzing, the onus is on Vijay’s Kaththi teaser to enthrall the viewers. Bollywoodlife brings you key highlights from the teaser:

The first thing that you would notice about the teaser is that director AR Murugadoss seems to be in no mood to reveal the basic plot of the film as not much is shown in the teaser. This adds to the suspense element surrounding the film.

Vijay’s introduction, wielding a knife, is a nice attempt to justify the title of the film. Anirudh Ravichander’s background score is simply mesmerising leaving you in awe.

The last 30 seconds of the teaser are incredibly shot which feature Vijay sitting calmly inside the big metal pipes. While the teaser leaves you intrigued, many may complaint that the makers are being over cautious by not giving away anything substantial for the fans to hang on.

Meenakshi irked Vikram yet again, but this time Vikram is not going to go easy on her

So far on Diya Aur Baati Hum, we saw that Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari) tries to hurt Prema by replacing a hot diya instead of the actual one. In the process, a few sarees catch fire but the fire is put out by Meenakshi. On being questioned Meenakshi admits saying that she does not approve of Vikram (Karan Goddwani) and Prema’s closeness. An angry Vikram says that he will leave Meenakshi for Prema which Prema overhears.

Meanwhile, Sandhya (Deepika Singh), who is going to the place where RK is held captive, is being followed by Disha (Jyothi Sharma). But Disha eventually loses track of Sandhya since she keeps changing her look, from uniform to saree and then into a burqa. Disha somehow manages to reach the locality where RK is kept and starts to click snaps of the area around since she cannot spot the house. RK happens to see her but since the room has a tinted window, Disha cannot see inside. To draw her attention begins to haul pretending to have a stomach ache. Sandhya realises he’s pretending and moves towards the window, only to spot Disha there.

In the upcoming episode, we will see an annoyed Disha seeking revenge from Sandhya. Disha places a bomb, hidden in a doll in Sooraj’s (Anas Rishad) shop. Misri spots the doll and picks it up.

Will Sandhya figure all this out and save her family? Will Vikram actually marry Prema? Well, it remains to see how the plot unravels itself. Till then, stay tuned!

The ABCD 2 actor was seen sporting a new look at a recent outing, where his hair was colored a light brown, followed by a fade styled cut. The hunk was also seen sporting a funky Michael Jackson tattoo on his right arm, along with a casual white tee with a pair of denims.

Varun’s new hairdo is a complete contrast to his previous one where he was seen sporting black colored hair with a military style cut. The Main Tera Hero fame was also seen carrying off a stubble with the hairdo, which he now has trimmed slightly to compliment his new style.

The actress was recently snapped on the sets of the film in Malaysia

She may look demure and dainty but Jacqueline Fernandez has it in her to shake the best of B-Town aside! That’s right. We came across a picture of the actress from the sets of her upcoming film Roy in Malaysia where the Kick girl was seen sitting with Ranbir Kapoor! The two seem to have a gala time on the sets, hai na?

Another interesting thing about the picture is the look Jacqueline is sporting for the film. Big voluminous hair-do and a white breezy dress, looks like Jacky will be sporting beach-avatars in the film. The hair-do looks grungy and we love the rusty look on Jacqueline.

Ranbir and Jacqueline are currently shooting for their forthcoming film Roy in the beautiful locales of Langkawi (Malaysia). The film is been helm ed by debutante director Vikramjit Singh, Produced by T-series and Freeway Pictures and is all set to release in February 2015. Roy is a love triangle starring Jackie opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. Aamir Khan’s better half however lost her way this time around. The Ship of Theses filmmaker was seen wearing an ultra lose and ill fitting white-striped dress or cloth bag rather (we aren’t sure of what it is) with a multi colored scarf and a pair of black flat chappals. It almost seemed like Kiran couldn’t find any appealing garb in her closet so she hurriedly stitched up her bed sheet to make it look like a wearable cloth piece and topped it with a multi colored scarf to “add spunk” to the look.

Had she chosen to wear a crisp white collared shirt and a pair of blue denims with the colorful scarf, Kiran would be basking in the glory of being the best dressed chic of the day. Better luck next time girl!

Lauren, who shot to fame after the success of ABCD (Any Body Can Dance), and blew our socks off on the television reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is suffering from kidney stone. With this season of Jhalak coming to an end, Lauren is scheduled for one more performance before the finale. When asked if she is going to take rest her reply was, “The show must go on”. Hats off to Lauren’s dedication.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan can play romantic roles, emote feelings of a child on the big screen or be the angry young man. But he says that for any actor, including him, it’s impossible to replicate the expression on the face of a poor, starving child given food – or when this child helps someone less fortunate.

He took to his official blog srbachchan.tumblr.com to share about his experience at the traffic signal lights where he comes across children, who “are of poor means, of limited resource or none at all”.

“Two young ones huddled in the middle of the night outside the platform of the local station, tired and hungry after working at getting that meal from those that travel on trains, the entire day – fruitless and without any result!” the 71-year-old shared. “I once drove up to them and shook one of them up from his slumber as he lay without any covering off the pavement of the street, and gave him a packet to eat and a hundred rupee note! If ever I were to be capable of recreating that expression on the face of the little one, shaken up from his drowse, I would consider myself the greatest actor in the world!” wrote Big B, who was seen playing an underprivileged in films like Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Amar Akbar Anthony0 and Lawaaris.

The moment was “indescribable” for him. What happened next further touched him. “The little fellow did not look at me, nor where or who was giving him this ‘gift’, he merely shook himself up in a frenzy and ran … ran as fast as he could to another little fellow curled up in another section of the pavement, and placed the ‘goods’ in his hand … with an expression of an achievement that I shall never be able to forget my entire life. The other little one I discovered later was his younger brother … they had been begging for food for two days without any results! It will be impossible for anyone creatively inclined, to relive that moment on celluloid or any other ‘loid’,” posted the National Award-winning actor.

He said that his hand trembles as he recounts the incident and “eyes fill up voluntarily with what is commonly known as tears”. He shared another similar experience. “And … as I drive home after work tonight and entertain that young little girl on the street by my window, expectantly seeking my attention to buy those ball pens in her hand, I cannot – try as much as I can to keep away – resist asking her to hand me a few of her prized goods, pay her some money without asking what the price is, only to witness that smile, the smile of a million Mona Lisa’s, lighting up her face. I may never use those ball pens I bought … but I shall keep them close in sight … just to be reminded of that wondrous smile on the face of that innocent beautiful little girl by the pavement,” he added.

Qubool Hai‘s Seher (Surbhi Jyoti) is a con artist – her mother is a prostitute and her father is a con man and thug. Obviously, in such circumstances her upbringing was wrong. However, somewhere down the line Seher has a conscience that keeps warning her, but she has always ignored it until now.

We caught up with Harshad Chopda on the sets of his new show, Humsafars, to have a chat with the actor, who has been away from the small screen for over a year and half. When we told him that his fans missed him, the actor claims that people barely know him. “I don’t think people know or recognise me by my face. No one stalks me; nor does anyone crowd over me to see me when I am in public. There have been times when people have asked me if I am a relative or brother of Harshad Chopda,” said the dishy actor.

It’s not a house, it’s a plane, that too in the middle of a jungle. Yes, the Bigg Boss house is indeed designed like an aircraft, which has crashed and landed in a forest. And we are giving you 5 shocking inside details about Salman Khan’s reality show, which will just add to the misery of the contestants.

Unlike last season, this year, the toilets and bathroom will be combined. So the participants will have to bathe and attend to the nature’s call in one cubicle.

Just like an airplane, the contestants will have to keep all their luggage in the overhead compartments. Naturally removing the daily essentials from their bags is going to be a task this time.

There are no beds inside the glass walled house this season. In fact there are reclining chairs, which can be converted into beds. Whatever happened to comfort.

Since the house is designed like an airplane, there is no swimming pool and outdoor area. So all the tasks will take place either inside the house or around the plane. Oh, and talking about the tasks, all of them have been designed in a way that it tests contestant’s physical strength than the mental strength.

Like always, there will be a captain in the house this year, who will stay in the business class room, while rest of the contestants will stay in the economy class room.

Well well, all we can say is that the contestants are going to have a difficult time in Bigg Boss 8, which goes on-air from September 21.

Since the day the makers of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon decided to shut shop, fans have been relentlessly thronging social networking sites, the channel office and messaging the producers begging them to bring back their favourite hero Barun back

Some fans have written hate mails and while several have even resorted to open threats to Four Lions Films – only to bring Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani back onscreen.

Co-founder of Four Lions Films Gorky M said, “We still get requests to bring Barun back on a show. I don’t think we’ve ever even attempted to count how many such requests we get every day. And it’s not like we wouldn’t like to get him back.”

Then why the delay? “Barun is in a different space right now. He wants to do something different and we also want to give him something he’s never done before. There’s no doubt that we still want to work with him,” replied Gorky.

So did the relationship between Four Lions Films and Barun sore at all after his exit? Gorky replied, “There was a huge controversy around his exit but it has not affected our relationship at all. Barun was very clear from the start about what he wanted to do and how, he never made any excuses for his decisions unlike so many people who say something but mean something else totally. Barun was very clear and we completely understood him. Hence our relationship has not soured at all.”

One day left for the super finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 and we are eagerly waiting to see all the contestants back on the stage and perform. Interestingly, it’s not just the ex-contestant and judges who will be seen performing.

According to reports, Anil Kapoor will be seen as the special guest for the night, besides him Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 Super Finale  also will play host to Dadi (Ali Asgar), Guthi (Sunil Grover), comedian Bharti Singh, Shaan and Mika.

Bharti will mark her entry with a peck on Remo D’Souza’s cheeks, while Shaan and Mika will render some amazing music for the night. Anil Kapoor will dance with Madhuri Dixit-Nene- something we all know he loves doing.

The Kick actor feels that stand-up comedians will add more humour if roped as anchors

Salman Khan might be all set to host the upcoming eighth season of Bigg Boss, which will go on-air from September 21. However, the Kick actor feels that he is not the perfect host for a show like this. In fact, he feels that a stand-up comedian would do more justice as a host than him.

Yes, in an interview with a leading daily, Salman admitted that either Kapil Sharma or Krushna Abhishek would do better job as far as hosting the high voltage reality show is concerned. “I think — as a host — they (makers) should take a stand-up comedian. With someone like me [as an anchor], we can’t go to that comic level [a stand-up comedian can manage]. A Krushna (Abhishek) or a Kapil (Sharma) can be a lot of fun. They can use their humour to host the show, something they are gifted with. They can be funny with gags, etc,” the actor was quoted as saying.
