Well, knowing that the film is an adult comedy, I watched it anyway and hence came across Sunny Leone‘s startling comment! So the set’s of Mastizaade is totally filled with masti-charged people including director Milap Zaveri, Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor! But the most surprising of them all was Sunny Leone! So I’ll give a few insights of the video and warn to as to what’s in store for you. Firstly, the trailer has a lot of sexy Sunny in bikini. So the guys get to treat their eyes to Sunny’s sexy body. Director Abhishek Kapoor is all excited for his adaptation of the classic Great Expectations!

Fitoor really had one long stretch with several hassles erupting now and then but finally, the look released by the director just makes me go weak in the knees! Could the filmmaker be any awesome? The film is an adaptation of classic writer Charles Dickens’ novel, Great Expectations. Well, honestly, with the look of the poster, I sure have great expectations from the film! The poster holds a mystery and I cannot wait to watch the trailer that is set to release on 4th January! The video of the song is extremely beautiful with picturesque locales

Divya Khosla Kumar’s last film, Yaariyaan had great music and it seems like Sanam Re will also give us a bouquet of songs that will be remembered for a really long time. Gazab Ka Hai Yeh Din has that romantic flavour, which we associated from songs of the 90s. What we loved about the number was its simplicity and easy breezy lyrics. The song has been sung by Amaal Malik and Arijit Singh, two singers who voices resonate with romance. You might feel it has some similarity with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’s iconic Ghazab Ka Hai Din but this song is totally different. Amaal has also composed the song while the lyrics are by Manoj Muntashir.

The pair of Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam look fresh and very much in love in the video. It looks like the young lovers are on a road trip and enjoying themselves to the hilt. Mountains, rivers, waterfalls and vast open lands give that sense of adventure to the number. We love the opening which has a slight dose of sensuality.

While Pulkit is showing off his toned body throughout the song, we felt Yami looks too sporty given the dreamy feel of the song. However, this does not take away from the fact that she looks radiant and well-sculpted.

Soft and catchy with an adventurous vibe, we feel it will be loved by youngsters. We can say that the first track of Sanam Re has got us enthused about the remaining songs of the film.

Aaradhya’s grandfather would also like her and AbRam to come together!

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wishes that his grand daughter Aaradhya and good friend Shah Rukh Khan‘s son AbRam act together when they grow up. Notably, at a recent press conference, Shah Rukh had named Aaradhya-AbRam as the best couple when he was asked to choose between Ranbir-Deepika, Ranveer-Deepika, Alia-Sidharth and Fawad-Sonam.

Though his Dilwale co-star Kajol disagreed with him saying AbRam is younger than Aaradhya, the Chennai Express actor said “Love has no age.” When asked what he has to say about it, Bachchan told reporters today, “Un kay mooh may ghee shakkar aur doodh malai… (May his words come true).” Bachchan was speaking at the press conference of his upcoming thriller-drama Wazir. The 73-old actor said that his wife Jaya Bachchan has watched the movie twice. ”She is my wife, so of course we will talk (about the film)… Not once, she has watched the film twice.”

To this, filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who is producing “Wazir”, added, “When she (Jaya) went to watch it the first time we were nervous, when she went the second time we were drinking champagne. She has watched the film twice in three days.” Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Wazir is the story of two unusual friends – a paralysed chess grandmaster, played by Bachchan, and a grief stricken ATS officer, enacted by Farhan Akhtar – brought together by a twist of fate. Chopra said that Bachchan went through a “lot of pain” to play the the role of a man who has no legs.

“He went through a lot of pain for this role. It is very difficult to perform a person who has no legs when you actually have legs, and you’re pretending, acting that you don’t have. You will see what an incredible job he has done.” Bachchan, who has earlier collaborated with Chopra in Eklavya- The Royal Guard, said when he first started working with him, “two ladies” from Bollywood had given him different opinions.

“When I was going to work with him for the first time, two ladies gave me warnings. The first one said he will take care of you and will be the best producer ever to work with. The second one asked me when am I leaving, I said tomorrow, she said okay then I’ll talk to you day after because you’ll return.” On being asked who the ladies were, the Piku actor said, “Then it’ll be public… Okay, the first lady was Preity Zinta, the second was my wife.” Wazir, which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, is scheduled to release on January 8.

Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Mandana Karimi groove to this 90s-style number

We don’t under the obsession with neon-coloured bikinis. Well, the opening sequence has Mandana Karimi giving us an eyeful of her hourglass figure in a neon green and black bikini. The lady is also seen dancing suggestively to lure Tusshar Kapoor with lyrics like Single akeli hoon main, desi pataka hoon main. Okay…Moving ahead, we have the three guys – Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani are seen grooving like taporis and having a lot of fun. Mandana has worn a bikini only for the opening sequence, the rest of the time we see her in bikini tops and hot shorts and she’s looking far from sizzling. Her entry is dhamakedaar though.

The song has a very 90s beat and rhythm to it and the choreography will also remind you of the cult Govinda and Karisma Kapoor numbers. We found it a little too raunchy in a couple of places but that’s about it. Singers Wajid Khan and Shivranjani Singh have sung the number. It is composed by the duo, Sajid-Wajid and the lyrics are by Irfan Kamal.

The song also features Claudia Ciesla and Krushna Abhishek and in one of the scenes we see her dressed like a playboy bunny. There is a sequence where the two heroes have also dressed by like giant pandas. It looks like there is a clear attempt to avoid being overtly suggestive in the video.

However, we feel that Jawaani Le Doobi was a better composition and will do better as a party number. For Oh Boy, just feast your eyes on Mandana!

The film continues to rake in moolah at a slow pace…

Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Dilwale opened with a bang when it released on December 18, but it had been steadily declining since the first Monday itself. This week it saw a huge fall in occupancy and collections but it continued to rake in the moolah at a very slow pace. The film had ended week 2 at just Rs 133.87 crore . The film has now added another Rs 7.71 crore in the third weekend.

It added Rs 3.41 crore on this Friday, Rs 1.90 crore on Sunday and Rs 2.40 crore on Sunday, to take its total collection to Rs 141.58 crore at the end of the third weekend at the domestic box office. While it was expected that the film would cross the Rs 150 crore by the end of the 3rd weekend, it didn’t happen because of the sharp drop in week 2. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed in his tweet, “#Dilwale Week 1: 102.65 cr. Week 2: 31.22 cr. Week 3: Fri 3.41 cr, Sat 1.90 cr, Sun 2.40 cr. Grand total: Rs 141.58 cr. India biz.”

The film has performed very well at the International box office too earning near about Rs 150 crore. It has created a few records in the overseas  markets, however no such luck over here in India. With mixed reviews, less public interest and a bad word of mouth publicity, the film is expected to see a dip again today and may be out of majority of the theatres by Friday when the Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar-starrer, Wazir releases.

Dilwale has been performing very well in the international market since the get-go and it proved it again at the end of the third weekend, as it strengthened its hold on the overseas market. The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, had opened very well at the international box office, breaking records after records and has now inched close to Rs 150 crore at the international box office. It will cross the Rs 150 crore mark by tonight for sure.

The film has already earned Rs 49.95 crore in the UAE GCC. It has also earned about Rs 19.66 crore in UK, as trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Dilwale Overseas total: $ 22.5 million [Rs 149.80 cr]… UAE-GCC alone is $ 7.5 million. UK 4th SRK film to cross £ 2 million.”

The film has been loved by the overseas audience, but it has not done so well at the domestic box office. At the end of the third weekend, the film has just earned Rs 141.58 crore at the domestic box office, which is way lesser than the international collections. The film received mixed reviews and had a decline in business since day 4, however internationally it has been rock-solid and will cross the Rs 150 crore mark today.

Meanwhile, the nett worldwide collection for Dilwale now stands at Rs 291.38 crore and it might cross the Rs 300 crore mark by tomorrow. Meanwhile, the film will mostly end its run in cinemas this week after the Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar-starrer, Wazir releases in India, however it might still screen in the overseas market.

The actress talked about her forthcoming film in a recent media interaction

Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for the release of her next film Akira which has been in the news off late. Akira, a film by AR Murgadoss will feature Sonakshi in a completely different avatar. The actress, who has always been criticised for her weight has been on a strict diet and workout regimen and has also lost oodles of weight to be in perfect shape for the film.

Present at an event, the actress shared the level of difficulty she faced while shooting for this film. “I have never imagined myself in situations like that before. It was really challenging, probably my most challenging role till date. Physically I took training and I had to up my game and luckily I have been into sports as a kid. That’s how the energy and the strength come in so it didn’t take that long. I had to train for about a month and a half and I was ready to do the film,” she said.

Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira will have Anurag Kashyap playing the role of a bald Bhojpuri baddie. “I was convincing him to be an actor now. He has fit the role and character so well that you will really connect with him in that way. You will actually be scared of him when you see him on screen. He has played the character really really well. He’s a great actor I think,” she said hinting Anurag has done a marvelous job.

Riteish Deshmukh has slammed the makers of upcoming adult-comedy Mastizaade, claiming they have breached his contract by “blatantly” using him in the promotions even though he has just two scenes in the movie.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film stars Sunny Leone in double roles alongside Tushar Kapoor and Vir Das in lead roles. Riteish appears in a cameo in the movie.

Sunny Deol is back in action and how! The last standing action hero of Bollywood is all set to impress his fans with some kickass action sequences. And that is evident from the trailer. The makers have released one more look from the film to get us all excited for Ghayal Once Again! 

One sees Sunny grimacing intensely through in the frame. Soha Ali Khan is in a sharp suit, looking all intense. She looks like a corporate honcho or maybe even a lawyer. The villain, Narendra Jha who plays an evil business magnate in the film looks angry and determined. The backdrop is that of a city caught in fire. Only time will tell Sunny impresses us with stellar performance and action sequences, which has always been his forte.

Ghayal Once Again has been written and directed by Sunny Deol is produced by Dharmendra. Ghayal Once Again is a sequel to Sunny’s hit potboiler Ghayal which earned him a National Award. The plot of Ghayal Once Again is about four innocent youngsters backed by a virtuous Sunny Deol fighting the mighty but evil business magnate played by Narendra Jha. The first releases of 2016 are a thriller directed by one of the promising directors of Bollywood, while the other is a hard-hitting socially relevant film, that has impressed several film festivals.

Film: Wazir

Director: Bejoy Nambiar

Starcast: Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Manav Kaul and John Abraham

Synopsis: Wazir tells the story of two people who strike an unusual friendship in the unlikeliest of circumstances. Farhan Akhtar plays a grief-stricken ATS officer who is assigned to protect a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster, played by Amitabh Bachchan. They bond over chess, as Farhan does everything to his new friend from a dark mysterious force, hell bent on killing the man.

Why you should watch it: Thrillers are the new taste for Bollywood, and the promos of Wazir are captivating. With Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan headlining the cast, we can expect some bravura performances from both the actors. Bejoy Nambiar is a director who has the eye for technical finesse and stylish cuts. We are also intrigued by what roles John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh would be playing, though in the case of latter, we can deduce he plays a psychopath!

Film: Chauranga

Director: Bikas Ranjan Mishra

Starcast: Sanjay Suri, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anshuman Jhan, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Soham Maitra, Ena Saha and Riddhi Sen

Synopsis: A 14 year old Dalit boy, Santu, falls in love in with an older girl who belongs to high caste and is the zamindar’s daughter, though she is unaware of his feelings. The zamindar is a vile, arrogant man who is sleeping around with the Dalit boy’s mother, who works as a cowhand at his house. On the persuasion of his brother, Santu write a love letter to the girl. But the letter falls in the hands of her father, and all the hell breaks loose in the village.

Why you should watch it: The film has won a lot of acclaim during the festival rounds, especially for its theme and the performances. A normally affable Sanjay Suri is seen in a mean role for the first time, and the presence of Tannishtha Chatterjee in the film is a stamp that the film has quality. The script of the film was said to be the best they had at the Screenwriters’ Lab organized by National Film Development Corporation of India. The film won Golden Gateway of India Award for Best Film (India Gold 2014) at the 16th Mumbai Film Festival.

The movie is releasing in both Telugu and Tamil in April this year.

Fans of Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu finally get a peek on his upcoming film Brahmotsavam. This will be the actor’s first major release of 2016. After the great success of his last film Srimanthudu, Mahesh is all set to rock the box office yet again. The movie is directed by Srikanth Addala. Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash are the three heroines featuring in this flick. Mickey J. Meyer is composing the music for the movie. Brahmotsavam is all set to release on April 29, 2016.

It looks like the movie is centered around family values and traditions with a whole lot of fun in between. The background track is light, peppy and fun. The entire teaser gives out a feel good vibe. The three leading ladies just show a glimpse in the trailer. The setting looks very festive and grand. It also seems like Mahesh Babu will be playing a good guy and a responsible family man.

Looks like the Prince of Tollywood has something special in store for his massive fan base this April. It is refreshing to see the Telugu superstar doing a family centric film after sticking to action films for a while.
