There’s only half hour left for the grand premiere night and the wait is literally killing us

This season on Bigg Boss, there are more women in the house than men in comparison. The promo showcases a glimpse of Salman Khan’s performance for the night. Post which, one of the female contestants makes a grand entry inside a box, but we somehow just can’t figure out who exactly it is.

We suspect it’s either Minissha Lamba, who was last seen in Zilla Ghaziabad is making an entry in BB8. Now by the looks of it we figure those moves could be the Bachna Ae Haseena actor but we have our doubts.

Now the other name that’s floating in our heads is Soni Singh, who was last seen in Saraswatichandra as Kalika. The petite actor is a trained dancer and this could just as well be her, right?

Here is what you can expect from Bigg Boss 8 opening episode

Masses will be in for some entertainment tonight (September 21) for Salman Khan is all set to bring eighth season of Bigg Boss on TV. The opening episode will go on-air in a while and we are telling you 5 things to expect from the premiere night.

Captain Salman Khan’s dhamakedaar act – Like every year, Salman will open the episode with an entertaining dance act. But this time, he is not performing alone for his last year’s favourite contestant Elii Avram will also be shaking a leg with Dabangg Khan.

Armaan Kohli’s performance – BB7′s contestant, Armaan will also be performing on the stage. And he is gonna set the stage on fire with his stylish avatar. Unfortunately, his lady love Tanishaa Mukerji won’t be dancing along with him.

Dance acts by contestants – Of course, like every season, some contestants will be performing before they get inside the house of horrors.

The high voltage reality show begins today

Minissha Lamba who has done films like Yahaan, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kidnap has entered the house.  Minissha performed on Pyaar ki Ek Kahani from her film Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd. Let’s see if we get to see another side of the actress.

Natasa Stankovic who has done item songs in a few films seems like she will be the Elli Avram of this season. Salman too said the same and we were quite impressed at how well Natasa could dance and how she danced on the lavni song!

Praneet Bhatt, who played the character of Shakuni Mama in Mahabharat enters the house. But he is not taking any qualities of Shakuni inside the house.

TV actors Sukirti Kandpal and Gautam Gulati have entered the house. Sargun Mehta also performed with them, but she didn’t enter the BB8 airlines with them coz Gautam, who was given the power to take one TV actress with her chose Sukirti over Sargun. All of this was pre-planned of course and hence looked very fake.

Sushant Divgikar, who will be representing the gay community in Bigg Boss 8 has entered the house sliding on a slope. And the landing hurt him, it seems. 

Model Diandra Soraes enters the Bigg Boss house with an act with Sunil Grover. However, what is interesting that Karishma Tanna and Diandra bonded on the very first episode. In fact Diandra chose Karishma over Sonali to take her in the house with her. We wonder what the equation between these two will be in days to come ?

Sunil Grover’s entry has got everyone curious to know if Gutthi will actually be locked up in the Bigg Boss house! Her banter with Salman has got everyone wondering if he too will participate in the show.

Arya Babbar and Armaan Kohli had a face off which was quite dramatic. It was also interesting to see his family talk about him and bid him goodbye before he entered the house.It was also the first time his brother Prateek used his family last name Babbar in the video. We think Arya will definitely have a lot to add to this reality show.

Karisma Tanna and Sonali Raut have entered the house. Looks like these two might have a cat flight as soon as they see the sleeping arrangements! Soni Singh has already started bonding with Upen Patel in the house.

Bigg Boss 8 begins today and everyone will be glued to their TV sets for the next few months. All speculation is over as the contestants name list is out and its quite an interesting mix. The show is shot in Lonavala and this time there isn’t a house, but an airplane where the participants will be living in. The show will test not only their patience but also will power and grit. Salman has already made a lot of news with his look as a pilot and there is ample speculation on how different the format of the show will be.

The whole format revolves around an aircraft and the difficulties that the contestants will face when the enter the house.  This will be quite interesting given the fact that the flight is extremely small and there will be a fight for space!

Upen Patel made a dapper entry on tonight’s Bigg Boss 8 Take Off episode. The actor who was a Bollywood regular moved to London a few years ago after this career failed to take off. Upen was apparently one of the first few to be approached by the production house to be a part of Bigg Boss 8.

He was also one of the first ones to agree and say YES to the show. A source reveals that Upen definitely wants a second chance at Bollywood and is planning to use this opportunity to try his hand at films. The source says, “Upen wants to leave the show as a winner and hopefully will get some more work in the industry.”

Also because he knows people in the industry there are chances that they will support him during his stay in the house.

The wait is finally over for the eighth season of nation’s most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss has hit the TV screens. And like every year, the makers have planned something very different. If you saw the opening episode, at the end, Bigg Boss formed a Secret Society of three contestants, who will have major advantages inside the house.

However, their identity was not revealed. But we are going to tell you, who those three celebrities are, who will literally control all other contestants.

They are Deepshikha Nagpal, Puneet Issar and RJ Preetam. Yes, by the power vested in them by Bigg Boss, these three contestants will have the authority inside the house of horrors. Their wish will be other contestant’s commands. Plus contestants won’t be able to nominate the three members of secret society. Basically, the other 12 contestants will be like the puppets of Secret Society. Unfair? Even we thought the same. But then there will be some twist to this one, we are sure.

The actress is engaged to David McIntosh

Actress-model Kelly Brook and fiance David McIntosh are reportedly eyeing a wedding in Greece.

According to The Sun newspaper, the rumours of a Greek wedding went haywire after Brook and McIntosh were spotted viewing some potential wedding venues in Mykonos last week, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“Mykonos is one of the most romantic islands in the world. They could not have thought of anywhere better to get married in,” a source said.

The duo got engaged in March after just a month of dating.

Bujji is riding high on the success of Race Gurram

Producer Bellamkonda Suresh, who suffered heavy losses from Telugu film Rabhasa, has handed over the reins of his son Srinivas’s next project to Nallamalapu Bujji.

Bujji, who is riding high on the success of Race Gurram, will now produce Srinivas’s film, which will be directed by Boyapati Srinu.

“Suresh suffered heavy losses with NTR’s ‘Rabhasa’. He has a lot of dues to pay, which has forced him to hand over his son’s next project to producer Bujji. Talks have been going on, but the official announcement is yet to come out,” a source close to the project, told IANS.

While Srinivas’s debut film Alludu Seenu turned out to be a hit, it still didn’t help his father recover from the debacle of Rabhasa.

Actress Tammannah Bhatia is likely to play the heroine in the film, which will go on floors soon.

The Gangs Of Wasseypur actress’ next film is making a lot of buzz even during its shooting stage

Richa Chadda has been in the news because of her upcoming film Tamanchey, where she has portrayed a very bold avatar. However, her next film, Sudhir Mishra’s Devdas, will show her in the role of Paro and she will have a drastic change in looks. Grapevine has it that she is set to copy Kareena Kapoor Khan’s look from her 2004 film Yuva.

While speaking to a leading daily a source informed, “The look of Richa’s character is similar to that of Kareena’s in the 2004 film, Yuva. In terms of make-up, Richa would be seen wearing only kajal, like Kareena did. The Devdas novel has been adapted many a time onscreen, however, Mishra’s adaptation will be a modern interpretation of the iconic novel. “With the whole film being put in a new light, the characters have to be re-adapted to suit the plot,” adds the source while speaking to the daily.

So was the look of Paro‘s character easy or difficult for the Fukrey actress? We wonder…She retorts by saying, “The idea was to outline characters beyond their appearances. Sudhir felt that the simplicity of the external appearance will create a beautiful contrast with the complex internal emotions that everyone will connect with. But Paro‘s character needs some spice as well, so, dramatic eyes – with the use of kajal – were enough.”

Rajkumar has asked Disha to acquire the doll from Mishri and place it at Ravan’s pandal. Will she succeed in doing the same without Sandhya knowing?

In the last episode, we saw Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari) sharing her sorrows with Sandhya (Deepika Singh). Sooraj (Anas Rashid) on the other hand was seen requesting Babasa to change his decision on getting Vikram (Karan Goddwani) married to Prerna. Sandhya was seen finding a piece of soap in Rajkumar’s (Gaurav Sharma) food and concluding that he had used the same to get rid of the rats in the cell. Rajkumar was seen escaping prison by making the guards unconscious. The episode ended with him asking Disha (Jyoti Sharma) to replace the doll at Ravan’s pandal.

In the upcoming episode, we will see Disha learning that the doll is in Mishri’s possession. She will ask Sooraj to call her out and Mishri will be accompanied by Pari. Disha will try and acquire the doll from Mishri, which has a bomb and it needs to be taken out of the house before its too late.

Aastha said she will not let Niranjan ruin her marriage with Shlok

Previously we had reported that Shlok (Avinash Sachdev) is upset with Aastha (Shrenu Parikh) and hence wants to separate with his wifey. Aastha who doesn’t want to split with Shlok is trying her best to reconcile with her hubby. Shlok had asked his manager to shift Aastha’s belongings to another cabin in the office. He dint want to share the same cabin as Kavya’s (Grace Girdhar) mother.

Aastha was shocked with Shlok’s decision, however, didn’t give up on her marriage. She again shifted her belongings in Shlok’s cabin and said she wouldn’t move from there. Shlok caught Aastha’s hand and dragged her out of the cabin. However, Aastha refused to barge and came back in the same place.

In tonight’s episode, Aastha will call Shlok on the terrace. The couple will stare at each other and think about the happier times they spent together. Will Shlok forgive Aastha? Will Niranjan (Manish Wadhwa) let the couple reunite? Stay tuned to find out!

In the last episode, we saw Dev (Bhuvnesh Mann) questioning Durga (Sanjeeda Sheikh) regarding her presence in Nitya’s house. Upon not being able to answer his question, Durga told Dev to mind his own business. He in turn requested Durga to not leave Payal in the rehab and let her stay at home instead. Shaurya (Vatsal Sheth) on the other hand was seen having a nightmare and falling off his bed. He tried hard to stand up on his own but had to eventually seek Kangana and Karan’s help.

In the upcoming episode, we will see Shaurya visiting the Thakur household for the ceremony. His feet will be washed by Dr Dayal, as a mandatory custom for the same. Shaurya will be glad to see his feet being washed by his to be father in law. His pride, however, would go for a toss upon seeing a bunch of women laughing at the incident. The episode will end with Shaurya shouting at them and Sakshi (Simone Singh) being glad to see his wrathful side coming forth.

Mohit brought Nandini to the Singhania house without informing Rukmini

Previously we had reported that Naksh (Shivansh Kotia) had left for Surat to meet Naitik (Karan Mehra) without informing anyone at the Singhania mansion. Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik who were worried about Naksh’s whereabouts finally found their kid in Surat.

In last week’s episode, Mohit (Ayush Agarwal) brought Nandini (Nidhi Uttam) to Akshara’s house without informing Rukmini (Urmila Sharma). When Mohit’s mother found out the truth she was very upset with Nandini. According to her, it was Nandini who must have instigated Mohit to lie and take her to the Singhania house. Though Mohit tried to clear the misunderstanding, Rukmini was in no mood to hear him out. Finally Akshara had to intervene and clear the matter.

In tonight’s episode, Akshara will receive a letter from Naksh’s school. They would request Akshara to be a teacher in their school for a day. Will Naksh’s mother accept the offer? Will she be able to teach in the school? Watch tonight’s episode to find out!

While the film has managed to create good buzz so far, at an event today the honey-eyed actor launched a mobile game which is inspired from his action thriller. Well, we got a glimpse of the game and it did look impressive. But what’s interesting is that JR Roshan at the same event said that he is playing himself in Bang Bang and not Tom Cruise. He told the media, “I am not reprising Tom Cruise in Bang Bang….I am playing Rajeev. In fact, tthis is one film for which I didn’t have to do any preps coz I have just played myself in the film. So I hope you guys like it.”

Since Bang Bang is clashing with Shahid Kapoor’s Haider at the box office, at the game launch Hrithik was asked if this would divide the audience. To this the Krrish 3 actor replied,”I can’t see the future. Dekhenge jo hoga wo hoga.”

When the Terminator star flew down to Chennai for Vikram‘s I audio launch, the entire Tamil film fraternity extended their hospitality to the Hollywood superstar. While it is beyond doubt that the audio launch event was nothing short of a spectacle, it was the presence of Arnie which made the evening extra special.

After the grand audio launch in Tamil, the makers have planned a spectacular music launch in Telugu too by inviting a celeb as popular as Mr Schwarzenegger, for the event. A little birdie tells us that producer Aascar Ravichandran and director Shankar have roped in The Expendables star Sylvester Stallone to do the honours at the Telugu music launch event.

Earlier it was rumoured that Rush Hour actor Jackie Chan would be gracing the Telugu audio launch event of I. But going by the fan frenzy surrounding Arnold, the makers have now planned to invite yet another Hollywood muscle man, Stallone, to the grand event. While there has been no official confirmation, the fans are keeping their fingers crossed to see the Rocky actor close and upfront at the I Telugu audio launch event at Hyderabad.

While Sonam’s film is faring well in Pakistan, Parineeti’s Daawat-e-Ishq is far behind in the race

Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan’s Khoobsurat is struggling to impress the Indian audience, however, the film is doing extremely well in Pakistan. As per an entertainment portal, Khoobsurat produced by Anil Kapoor has collected more than Rs 10 million on its opening day while Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra’s Daawat-e-Ishq has minted only Rs 4 million.

International Multi Group of Companies Chairman Sheikh Amjad Rashid said to an entertainment portal, Khoobsurat has beaten all previous financial records. It is comparable with any big-budgeted Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan movie. It has done better business than Daawat-e-Ishq.”

With such a fabulous response to the film on its opening day, it is expected to do even better in the coming days as many shows have already been pre-booked. The last film that made humungous business in the neighboring country was Salman Khan’s Kick which made Rs 20.8 million in one day. We wonder if Sonam’s film will be able to beat the Dabangg Khan’s record in Pakistan.

Jeeva which is directed by Suseenthiran releases on Friday

Actor Vishnu, who is awaiting the release of forthcoming Tamil sports-drama Jeeva, says he heard the first narration of the film with actor Vishal Krishna Reddy, who will be distributing it under his home banner Vishal Film Factory.

Jeeva, which is directed by Suseenthiran, releases in cinemas Friday.

“Vishal was part of the film from the scripting phase. Since he had worked with Suseenthiran in his last film and will be working again soon, he knew what he was making next. The first time I heard the story narration was with Vishal,” Vishnu told IANS.

“Vishal’s friendly involvement in the film was there right from the start. After he watched the film, he came and hugged me. He said I’ve done a brilliant film and he was happy that he got to distribute a wonderful film,” he said.

Jeeva is jointly co-produced by actor Arya under his home banner The Show People.

“Arya is co-producing with The Next Big Film. I came to know that Arya was one of the producers quite late. I was very happy about it and I spoke to him and thanked him,” he added.

Vishnu feels that to have two of his best friends and popular actors back Jeeva is a “great gesture of friendship”.

“There’s so much of competition in this industry, but to see actors helping each other by backing their films is very encouraging,” he said.

Jeeva also features Sri Divya and Soori in important roles.

Actor-producer Sohail Khan, brother of Salman Khan, will this year compete in the 16th Raid de Himalaya, one of the world’s toughest off-road motor rallies, event organisers said here Tuesday.

Sohail will compete in the Adventure class, an all-out speed category, Shimla-based Himalayan Motorsport Association (HMA) president Vijay Parmar said. The rally will have 50 competitors in Rally Moto (motorcycles and quads), 41 teams in Rally Xtreme (4X4) and 51 teams in Rally Adventure. Each team in the Xtreme (4X4) category and the adventure category comprises a driver and a navigator.

Rally Adventure follows the TSD (Time-Speed-Distance) format and is considered to be the safer option for rallying while the Xtreme category is an all-out speed category and a high-risk sport. Raid de Himalaya is one of the two Indian motorsport events listed on the off-road rally calendar of international automobile and motorbike federations — FIA and FIM. Only 12 international motoring events worldwide are listed in this calendar.

After flag off from Shimla Oct 4, the rally will pass through Manali, Kunzum Pass, Kaza, Komik, Dhankar, Gramphoo, Darcha, Sarchu, Debring, Daat, Keylong and will finally culminate in Manali Oct 10. The prize distribution ceremony will be held in Manali Oct 11.

The rally will cover about 1,650 km through harsh and difficult terrain at 4,000m above sea level and will cross 11 mountain passes. The Raid would pass through some areas where temperature dips below 20 degrees Celsius.

Due to the recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir the rally route was revised to facilitate the ongoing relief and rescue efforts. For his navigator, Sohail picked Pune’s Rahul Sancheti, who ranks among the top motorsport navigators in the country for TSD rallying. Sancheti, 42, has earlier ranked first in the TSD categories of 2010 Raid de Himalaya and 2011 Desert Storm, two of the highest ranked rallies in the country.
