Two days back the whole world stopped and all eyes were on the news that Anushka Sharma has been finally paired opposite Salman Khan in Sultan. The leading lady was missing from the picture ever since the picture was announced and the makers were contemplating on whom to sign for the very important role. This is one of the biggest films of Yash Raj Films and they wanted perfection. Many names such as Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and even Priyanka Chopra cropped up, but finally Anushka Sharma was signed day before yesterday.

The actress was seen yesterday at the red carpet of the Filmfare Awards 2016 pre-party and she was bombarded with questions about Sultan. When she was asked about Salman and her role, she mentioned, “I am thrilled and excited to work with Salman Khan, I think there is no one like him because of his persona. The film is something I am really excited about and I am more excited about my role and all in all, it is something I am waiting to dig my teeth into.”

When asked about her earlier tweet saying that she wasn’t a part of Sultan, she revealed, “I wasn’t doing the film at that time. I am not going to dwell into what happened, I am just concerned about what’s happening right now and what’s happening right now is that I am doing the film and I am happy about it.”

Anushka will also have the prestige and title of having working with all the three Khans of Bollywood. While she has already worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Aamir Khan in PK, she will now work with Salman in Sultan. So when she was asked about this, she said, “It’s really great and this is something that I’ll be very proud of till the end of my life. It is something that I can look back and be happy about that I got to work with these three amazing actors and people – Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh. The kind of experience that they have for anybody to work with them, it’s like a life experience that you get. I feel very humbled.”

She even commented on the Sultan-Raees box office clash when she said, “Personally I feel if the films are good, how many ever films release on a day, it doesn’t matter as there are enough audiences.”

Yeh Fitoor Mera (Fitoor)

This slow number from Aditya and Katrina starrer Fitoor is full of angst and barely contained passion. Arjit Singh is at his best as always and really pulls the listener in to experience the deep emotions that his voice conveys so well. The song depicts the feelings of Noor played by Aditya Roy Kapoor towards Firdaus played by Katrina Kaif who looks drop dead gorgeous. Arjit Singh’s amazing vocals is well supported by the score of Amit Trivedi. The imagery is vivid, memorable and combined with the music makes it a great song.

Atrangi Yaari (Wazir)

This number from Wazir has a nice vibe to it. The nice and easy rhythm of the guitar right from the start puts you in a relaxed and happy place. Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone and Farhan Akhthar’s throaty voice compliment each other perfectly. As the title suggests, this song is about friendship, companionship and camaraderie. It is truly heartwarming to see these two stars smiling, laughing and being playful on camera and the best part is it looks completely natural.

Soch Na Sake (Airlift)

The Akshay Kumar song from Airlift is just something else. It is as brilliant as it is sad. Nimrat Kaur and Akshay Kumar look very good togehter on screen and their dynamic as a married couple adds a whole new depth to the already emotional song. Arjit Singh’s voice truly breaks your heart with its sincerity and passion. The Amaal Malik composed number conveys the pain of separation accurately. The Punjabi lyrics takes the emotional turmoil to another level and makes it a song to listen to on repeat.

Sanam Re (Sanam Re)

Composer Mithoon has created something very special with this melodious title song. The song is sung by Arjit Singh and his voice is just pure magic. Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam have a very sizzling chemistry on screen, which increases the sensuality and passion of this beautiful number. Urvashi Rautela also features in the latter half of the song and looks very pretty. The feelings of love and heartbreak is displayed very well in this song. Background imagery is simply breath taking and are an added bonus.

Deewani Mastani (Bajirao Mastani)

Deepika Padukone makes hearts stop with her stunning beauty in a traditional avatar. The music and singing itself is spectacular but it is Deepika who really makes this song special. Her graceful movements and mannerisms timed with the music is simply captivating. The splendor and grandeur of the setting added with the melody and the actress’s presence makes it the best song from the movie.

Hrithik rang his 42nd birthday with major B-town celebs in attendance!

The Greek God turns another year younger. Hrithik Roshan a.k.a the sexiest man alive celebrated his birthday amidst the who’s who of the industry. The actor, who was previously in news for throwing a lavish party for his friends, recently did so and it was splendid.

Seen partying with his debut film (Kaho Na Pyaar Hai) co-star Ameesha Patel, the actor looks drop dead gorgeous wearing a black vest, paring it with a black jacket. His hair game is on point when he flashes a dashing smile towards the shutterbug. The party was held at Four Seasons hotel in Worli, Mumbai. Very impressive we must say Mr. Roshan!

Ranveer Singh, who was also present at the Britannia Filmfare Awards pre-party, made it to Hrithik’s bash in no time. Although it is not clear by the pictures if he wore the same outfit, but he sure looks dapper in the AMAZING SELFIE that has Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan and Mika Singh. What a way to start a Sunday, right!

Sussanne Roshan on why she wasn’t at ex Hrithik Roshan’s b’day party despite being on good terms with him

Hrithik Roshan brought in his 42nd birthday bash on Saturday night and all his friends and colleagues were invited to the party. A week before the party, the invites were sent out and the guest list was known to the industry as well as the media.There was speculation whether his ex-wife Sussanne Khan would attend this party. Since their separation, although her family continued to bond with the actor and vice versa, she has stayed away. But her absence at the party raised a few eyebrows. In an exclusive clarification, Sussanne broke her silence to say she had not attended her former husband’s party, as she wasn’t even invited.

She explains, “My relationship with Hrithik is wonderful with respect to our kids. We are good parents and that is our priority regarding each other. But we don’t socialise or hang out together as friends.” The soft-spoken former Mrs Roshan, who officially separated from her husband in December 2013 after a 14-year marriage had faced similar speculation in October 2014, when she celebrated her birthday. It was being said that Hrithik would attend his former wife’s birthday.

Says Sussanne, “I understand him not inviting me. We don’t invite each other to our birthdays. People love to make a big deal out of nothing.” She clarifies there is absolutely no ill-will between the separated couple. “By the grace of God we have found peace with our choices and with each other. I will always wish for him to be the happiest in all that he does. And I know he wishes the same for me.”

2015 was a year where all the three leading Khans, Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, hit half-century when it came to their age (though they are fay younger when it comes to their enthusiasm!).

Aamir was the first to hit 50, followed by Shah Rukh Khan. Salman Khan, the youngest of the lot, celebrated his birthday, recently in December 27. In lieu of all the actors turning 50 in the same year, we asked their fans who looked the seciest at their age of 50. The poll was a huge hit, and the votes came in huge numbers. But the result turned out to be predictable like the plot of many Bollywood films.

It was Shah Rukh Khan who led the race with more than 50% votes (55.2%), cementing the fact that people still find the hottest among the Khans. His last film was Dilwale, with Kajol, and he will be seen next in Maneesh Sharma’s Fan that will release in April this year, while also in Raees, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which will hit cinemas this August. There is also chance that his film with Alia Bhatt, directed by Gauri Shinde, will also release this year.

Salman Khan was close at SRK’s heels with nearly 39% votes. The actor has bulked up his body, and also gone for a new look, with a moustache as well, for his upcoming film, Sultan. He will play a wrestler in the film.

Aamir Khan, unfortunately, got the least percentage of votes with only nearly 6% votes. Maybe our reader like his old man look, that he has kept for Dangal, where he plays a father for two grown up girls and also a wrestler.

We were the first to break the news of Anushka Sharma being part of Sultan. At that time, she took to Twitter to deny being part of the film. Now the official announcement has been made. While the deal was locked and signed three days ago, the discussion was on in the YRF corridors for the longest time. But it was ‘a tightly kept secret’.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar is mighty pleased with the development. He explains why she’s the ‘correct choice’. “We wanted to cast a great actor opposite Salman. That was the main criterion. Anushka is a terrific actress and a star in her own right. She can pull off a film effortlessly. But the biggest plus point is that she is athletic, she understands the language and the mannerisms and it will be easy for her to get into the skin of the character. Also, she has previously romanced Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan. Now, it’s Salman. They look great together. Once the look is out, you will see.”

Our source from the production team tells us that there’s a lot more to Anushka’s character, “It isn’t another typical Salman film. The leading lady has a prominent role. She plays a mature woman — a wrestler. She has to look on par with Salman. For the first time, she will essay a character slightly older than her age and it’s a trademark shift from her girl-next-door kind of roles.” The team has also zeroed in on a particular look for the film. Our source reveals, “Since she is also playing a wrestler in Sultan, her look will be more realistic or de-glam throughout the film. She doesn’t need to look like a million bucks.” An international prosthetics expert, who will be working on Salman’s character, will also help create Anushka’s definite look.

Contrary to reports, there is only one leading lady in the film, the source further adds, “Sultan revolves around four central characters- that of Salman, Anushka, Randeep (Hooda) and Amit (Sadh),” confirmed the source. So, when does Anushka start shooting? “After three weeks,” the khabroo reveals. “She will be undergoing a rigorous training in the sport in the coming three weeks and will join the cast on the sets post that,” he adds.

The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actress is set to show us a new side of hers as she plays the lead in this biopic. Always known for her princess-like roles, this year, the actress will break all the stereotypes revolving around her with her upcoming film, Neerja. Sonam Kapoor, who plays braveheart air-hostess Neerja Bhanot who lost her life trying to save the lives of passengers on board a hijacked PanAm flight in the biopic, Neerja, will be flying to Chandigarh to attend the The Neerja Bhanot Award event, held on January 13 each year. She will be accompanied by director Ram Madhvani and producer Atul Kasbekar.

The award of recognition is conferred up to once a year by the The Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust in India to an Indian woman subjected to social injustice, who faces the situation with grit and determination and extends help to other women in similar distress. It carries a cash prize of `1.5 lakh, a citation and a trophy. Sonam was very keen on being a part of the ceremony. Ram shares, “It is going to be an emotional and very special memory. Saluting her and all the other brave hearts on whom the award has been conferred.”

The 73rd Annual Awards has ascended and looks like the stalwarts of Hollywood have also made their presence felt on the red carpet! The actor was present as the guest of honour for a competition for physically disabled athletes

Salman Khan, who is currently shooting for the second schedule of Sultan, took some time out to meet his character Sultan’s alter ego. The actor was present for a competition for physically disabled athletes.

Salman was immensely humbled by the unique competition and congratulated Rajesh Rai for being able to put this league together. Sham Singh Shera (Winner of the Disabled Category) was extremely elated to share stage with all the dignitaries. He appreciated the grandeur of the event and the caliber of its hard-working, committed participants. Giving all athletes a platform to showcase their strength, stamina and endurance, every state’s top body-builder competes to win the Zonal Title and they later compete for the main title Jerai Classic at the Expo.

Salman, who has beefed up for his role in Ali Abaas Zafar’s film Sultan, was seen interacting with the contestants. Sultan’s first schedule was shot sans a heroine but the actor has now announced a female lead which is none other than Anushka Sharma. The actress in an event recently shared her excited of working with all the Khans in her career by now.

While Sultan’s shoot is getting a month delayed, chances of the film not clashing with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees only becomes bleak. However, if the schedule completes on time, both the films may clash at the box office!

Shraddha Kapoor is not keeping well as the actress is suffering from food poisoning. The 28-year-old ABCD2 actress, who had to give Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan’s birthday party a miss due to her bad health, took to Twitter to wish the Bang Bang star.

“Happy birthday! @iHrithik What bad timing for me to get food poisoning heard I missed a really fun party of yours, lots of loveee!,” Shraddha wrote.

Hrithik turned 42 today and the actor invited his Bollywood colleagues to celebrate the occasion with him. Shraddha will be next seen alongside Arjun Rampal and Farhan Akhtar in Rock On 2 and alongside Tiger Shroff in Baaghi.

Well, unfortunately in this case it was nothing good!

Once Lady Gaga was announced as the winner of the “Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries” category at the Golden Globes, she burst into tears. She shared a sweet kiss with her fiance, Taylor Kinney, and then immediately rushed to the stage… only to find a fellow nominee, Leo, in her way. However, Lady Gaga is so determined to get to the stage she keeps going after accidentally bumping right into Leo’s chair! The actor quickly moved out of her way and gave Lady Gaga a pretty unhappy look, obviously surprised to be in her way, but Lady Gaga may not have even realized she hit him. After all, she was still in shock from winning her big award!

This is a picture of Shah Rukh and AB’s first cover shoot for a magazine. The Dilwale actor last year had tweeted this and one more picture from this shoot saying, “My 1st ever foto shoot with the Maestro.I remember I rested my hand on his shoulder ever so lightly lest I ‘soil’ him.” That’s the respect SRK has for AB talking in this post. What better way than this to celebrate Zayn’s birthday today? Hot. As. Hell!

Zayn Malik, 22, is SUCH a tease!As one of the January 2016 cover stars of L’uomo Vogue, he bared his chest and left us all feeling some type of way. He posted a sexy, shirtless pic to his Instagram page and, you’ve been warned, it’s gorge! But that’s not all! The magazine itself posted a few equally hot shots of the heartthrob and we just can’t get enough.

The singer took to Instagram on Jan. 11 and published a fave photo from his recent Italian Vogue cover shoot. In typical Zayn fashion, he skipped writing a photo caption. But if you ask us, this pic definitely speaks for itself! The former boy-bander is looking up at the camera with his signature puppy dog eyes and freshly dyed blonde hair. …And — cue the sounds of swooning girls everywhere — did we mention he’s shirtless?

L’uomo Vogue also posted not one, but three Instas of Zayn on Jan. 11. And according to their first caption, there are more Zayn pics to come! The photo, taken by famed celebrity photographer, Ellen von Unwerth, featured another shirtless Zayn looking like a bada*s rockstar wearing an unzipped leather jacket by CoSTUME NATIONAL. Hmm…we wonder what his new gf Gigi Hadid, 20, thinks of her boyfriend’s smoking pics!

Within the same hour, L’uomo Vogue posted another picture and soon after a third, but fans are already demanding more! The latest snapshot of the singer shows him more covered up than before, in front of a vintage microphone with a blurry, black and white aesthetic. It’s artsy and organic, but let’s be honest, Zayn looks fantastic no matter WHAT he’s doing!

The Insta photos posted by L’Uomo Vogue have already gotten more “likes” than any other Insta they’ve published — Wow! Zayn fans represent!

Since breaking up with the band, One Direction, and recently slamming his former bandmates, it seems like Zayn has been getting quite the attention as a solo artist. Good for him — but here’s to hoping all the love doesn’t go to his head!

Regardless, we can’t wait to see more from this crazy-hot photoshoot because truthfully, one shirtless Zayn pic is just not enough!

Anushka Sharma is all set to enter Bollywood’s coveted ‘Khan club’, which boasts of members like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Karishma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji. Not every top heroine has been lucky enough to work with all the three Khans – Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Anushka has joined these chosen few heroines who have been lucky to romance all three Khans in a short span. Like Anushka, Deepika too debuted opposite SRK, however it seems like Anushka beat Deepika and bagged the chance to work with the famous Khans of B-town.

Deepika debuted in 2007 with Om Shanti Om and has had a successful run in the industry. Anushka started her Bollywood career a year later with Yash Raj Films’ Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and is one the most promising talents in the industry today. She has worked with Aamir in PK and will soon be seen opposite Salman in Sultan.

Deepika had in an interview some time back said, “I would love to work with those actors I haven’t worked with, like Hrithik, Salman, Aamir, Sushant Singh Rajput, Aditya Roy Kapur. As people and as actors and from the work that I have seen of them as actors and individuals.”

And while Anushka joins Katrina and Kareena to become one of the few heroines to have worked with all three Khans by signing Sultan opposite Salman Khan, Deepika has often expressed her desire to bag a project with Bollywood’s Dabangg. In a recent interview Deepika said, “I want to work with Salman soon, hopefully.” For those of you who do not know, Deepika was offered her first Bollywood movie by Salman and not Shah Rukh. And looks like even if she does manage a Salman film in her kitty she will have to wait to bag a movie with Mr Perfectionist Khan. And considering that Aamir is currently working on Dangal, Deepika will have to wait a little longer to join the other beauties in this Khan club!

Salman Khan is clearly not hiding his relationship with Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur. The actor has been dropping hints about how close he’s getting to her in the recent past. Be it his family functions or important events like his birthday, Iulia has now become a permanent part of the Khan parivaar. Those who attended Salman’s grand birthday bash reveal that his eyes were on Iulia all through the night making sure she was comfortable and being taken care of.

The latest twist in the Salman-Iulia love story is that he has gifted her a brand new car! The grey coloured four wheeler was a gift from Salman to her after his birthday bash. We aren’t sure if Iulia will drive around in the car though. As reported earlier she prefers travelling in rickshaws to stay incognito and not get clicked by the paparazzi. Even though Salman has a fleet of cars she doesn’t ever travel in his vehicle.

It seems that the gift is being seen as a gesture by close friends that Salman is quite serious about her and wants this relationship to work out. We are all for love and are totally rooting for this romance to blossom. Aren’t you as well?

The moment we heard that Akshay Kumar would play the villainous lead opposite the superstar Rajinikanth in Shankar’s Robot 2, we were ecstatic. His potential as an actor is yet to be explored fully and such kind of films will prove that there is more to Akshay than just being a Khiladi. He has over the years proved that if challenged well, he can excel. Hence, Robot 2 is one film we are eagerly waiting for but turns out the actor has altogether different reason to be excited. He feels it will be an honour for him to get punched by Rajinikanth! Relax…it’s not us who is saying this but the man himself!

Talking to a leading daily, Akshay says, “Today, the action may seem a little funny, but at that time I would be gaping at the screen, wondering how Rajini sir did what he did. It was a marvel in technique and technology! He’s a wonderful actor and even more, a wonderful human being. It will be an honour to be punched by Rajini sir. It’s going be a different world for me -the graphics, the action and the adulation that he commands.” But tell you what, working with Thalaiva was never his dream because as Akshay explains, “These things don’t come to you even in a dream.” Aww…isn’t he the most cutest fan of Rajnikanth? You can almost hear the tone of unwavering appreciation for the Superstar!

Akshay was also asked to comment on whether he is aware that the antagonist’s role was first offered to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He says, “I have no idea, I just know that Shankar (director) and some of the others called me and told me they had a film for me.” Well, honestly speaking, we are more elated at your presence in the film than the Terminator! What say people?
