Amitabh Bachchan has been in Bollywood since decades and is one of the all time superstars of the industry. He has a huge fan following even today and his mere presence can make you speechless. The actor is an inspiration for all the actors in the industry, but he still doesn’t consider himself a ‘great’ personality.

Yesterday he tweeted a picture of a wall in Ahmedabad, with a caption, “A street wall in Ahmedabad .. !! That guy in the middle should not be there, among the 2 greats !!” He was the guy in the middle, while the two ‘greats’ beside him were Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar.

As soon as Sachin Tendulkar saw this tweet, he replied, “There is only one guy who is now referred as ‘former’! Inspirational and timeless @SrBachchan and @mangeshkarlata.” Sachin Tendulkar was and will always remain the ‘God’ of cricket. With numerous world records to his name, Sachin retired in November 2013. However, he is very famous across the globe even today.

Bigg Boss season 9 is almost reaching its climax and it is safe to say that like every year the contestants are hoping for a bright future and some limelight after being locked up in this reality show. But will that really happen?

Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss on Colors has only added more to his star power. How else do you explain the channel willing to shell out more and more moolah each year to have the popular host back on their show. While the show has only enhanced Salman’s popularity and taken him to people’s drawing rooms, one cannot say the same thing about its contestants. This year too we saw some out of work celebrities, some controversial faces and some hot chics in the house and one contestant who stood out amidst the rest was Mandana Karimi. An almost unknown face, Mandana’s bold ways inside the house earned her many fans and in fact she remains one of the strongest contenders in the run up to the finale. However, will Mandana really benefit from her stint in Bigg Boss 9?

The Iranian beauty managed to make waves with her very first impression, she looked hot as hell and people expected a lot of oomph from this babe on the show. Did she deliver that? Well, we’d say Mandana wasn’t the stereotypical sexy babe in the house, but she ensured that there was enough fireworks to entertain the audience. Whether it was her camaraderie with her double trouble partner Keith Sequiera or then tiff with Keith’s ladylove Rochelle Maria Rao, Ms Karimi won people with her dashing and daring behaviour in the house. And yes, after Sunny Leone she is the only contestant in Bigg Boss history to be offered a movie while still inside the house. Not to forget Sunny and Mandana share the ‘Ekta Kapoor’ factor. While Sunny kickstarted her Bollywood career with the Bhatts, Karimi has done few cameos earlier and is all set to be launched as a heroine in Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3.

The stark difference between Mandana and Sunny however is that the latter enjoys a huge fan following and is much popular due to her earlier career as a hit porn star. So Tiger Shroff is definitely upping his game by posing in shirtless pictures with a hairdo that could kill. Let’s not even go to the number of abs he’s sporting in that frame, it’s so good that it should not be legal.

However, we feel that picture draws faint resemblance from someone, who sported a similar look in the recent past. Any guesses? It’s our very own Greek god in disguise Hrithik Roshan. While Tiger on many occasions has gone on record talking about Hrithik, whom he considers his icon, saying, “Though I admire my father immensely it was definitely Hrithik sir who inspired me for A Flying Jatt. He has done immense research and training and all of it showed in the way he shot through the air in Krissh. His attention to detail is clear in the way he moves so gracefully and naturally through the air. And, his postures are unbeatable.”

The actor was present for his sister’s birthday bash and going by his demenour we can say that he stole the limelight from pretty Krishna. She celebrated it with her family and boyfriend Spenser Johnson. On work front Tiger is shooting for Baaghi co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. While talking about the film in past he has said, “Baaghi is going to be something extra special, something extra-ordinary. For everyone who loved Heropanti, I just have to tell them one thing. Just wait for Baaghi to come.” Well, we certainly have high expectations from you Tiger. Also there is much speculation about the fresh pairing of Tiger and Shraddha. It would be certainly interesting to watch these two actors together.

The number of vamps on the show are increasing by the day!

Mohabbat ka dushman zamana…This phrase seems to fit in perfectly with Swara (Helly Shah) and Sanskaar’s (Varun Kapoor) situation right now. As you know, the two are madly in love with each other and will tie the knot soon.

Well, there is danger lurking ahead for Swara. In Sunday’s episode, we will see the two love-birds going to fly kites in a park on Makar Sankranti. When Swara goes to trace a kite that has got stuck in a tree, she will be attacked. A psychic will also be seen warning her of dangers ahead. Someone will tie the manja (kite thread) around her neck and try to strangulate her. Needless to say, she will be extremely frightened.

In last episode’s we saw Sanskaar running behind a woman who was seen escaping from the Maheshwari mansion. In all probability, it is Kavita (Nikita Sharma), Sanskaar’s ex-flame, who recently try to move out his life in a dignified manner. However, it does not seem to be an amicable split with the lady returning to seek vengeance. What is interesting to watch is that whether she is alone or in cahoots with someone.

On the other hand, Lakshya (Namish Taneja) is desperate to get the property papers back from Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar). As per buzz, Sanskaar will confront Kavita about the attack on Swara and they will have a showdown. Do we see a psycho lover track starting soon? Nikita had earlier said her role was a cameo but clearly her stay is going to be an extended one.

Arjun looks grungy and daring and is in a no mood to joke!

Arjun Kapoor is all set to make a sizzling debut on the television and boy, aren’t we excited! He just put up a new poster of Khatron Ke Khiladi and looks like he looks totally into his role as a tough taskmaster host. He has a slightly devilish grin on his face and looks like he is ready for a fight! Contestants of the show are in the background, looking unsure of what challenge the show holds for them.

The idea of Arjun as a host of this reality show generated a lot of mixed reactions. The show stars this weekend and it is left for us to see if the  Ki and Ka actor manages to win us over with his hosting skills. Before Arjun, the Airlift actor Akshay Kumar has hosted the show and people loved him. Arjun really has to be super awesome to fill Akshay’s shoes. Action director Rohit Shetty has also hosted the show last year.

This year looks promising for Arjun as he has R Balki’s film coming up with Kareena Kapoor Khan. He plays a laid back husband who is a homemaker while his wife, essayed by Kareena. is a top shot career oriented woman.

Andddd they lived happily ever after!

Asin Thottumkal and business tycoon Rahul Sharma tied the knot in Twin weddings on Tuesday in Delhi. The Catholic ceremony was a day wedding and happened in the morning at 11 am in a beautiful chapel arrangement followed by a special lunch. In the evening, we saw them exchange jai malas in a Hindu ceremony followed by dinner. CUTE we say!

Asin’s bridal attire for the Christian wedding was designed by Vera Wang and we are totally digging her look. The couple was keen to keep their wedding simple and intimate hence only less than 100 guests were invited to both the wedding ceremonies, strictly for family and the dearest of friends. Since Asin is known to be a private person, she wanted her wedding also be a private affair.

Anyone from the film industry or the business fraternity wasn’t invited to the wedding except Asin’s close friend Akshay Kumar. Did you know that he played cupid in bringing them together? He was also the one to leak their wedding card picture, which he captioned, “Happy to receive the 1st wedding reception card of 2 of my close friends, Rahul & Asin. Wishing you both happiness always.”

The couple will have a reception on January 23 in Mumbai for all their colleagues and friends. Asin was last seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in All Is Well and will take a sabbatical post marriage.

He is all set for his filmy performance!

The bad boy of the Bigg Boss 9 house, Rishabh Sinha, will give a killer performance tonight on the finale. He will be performing on a medley of Bollywood dialogues. And going by the pics, we can say that his performance is going to be bad ass. He looks macho and reflects that arrogant image he is popular for on the show in the performance.

Rishabh entered as a wild card on the show, and wasn’t expected to stay for long by the haters. But with all his shenanigans he proved that he deserves to be in the finale as much as anybody else. The Qubool Hai actor was quite notorious for his arrogance and doesn’t-give-a-damn attitude on the show. He often got into fights with Prince, who is also one of the finalists.

The finale will be dazzled by various performances by housemates and celebrity guests including a sensual act by Keith and Rochelle and a power packed performance by, Bigg Boss season-8 winner, Gautam Gulati who will be accompanied by his brother Mohit Gulati. The finale will also witness Katrina Kaif and Salman sharing the screen space after a gap of 5 years. Katrina will be there for the promotions of her upcoming flick Fitoor.

Rishabh is one of the four contestants who are still in the running of becoming the winner of this season of Salman Khan’s show. Apart from him the other finalists are Rochelle Rao, Prince Narula and Mandana Karimi. May the best man or woman win!

Low on celebs, high on class…this awards show was UNIQUE…

The award season is going on and everybody these days have a take on how they have become an eye sore rather than a coveted honour. We don’t disagree. When you have four variations of the same category, you are hardly talking about merit here. Also, there are even others where deserving candidates go missing from the nomination list, forget about bagging a trophy. Anyway, we aren’t discussing how much the award shows have become banal. In fact, we are here to talk about one thing that has remain unspoilt since a few years now and thank god for that. We definitely are talking about fashion on the red carpet and we must say, we are loving the display this year. Yet another awards show was held and although big stars were missing from it, we loved what Ranveer Singh, Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shettyy, TV’s IT couple Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi added to the evening. Here’s a small rundown on it.

Athiya Shetty in floral Shriya Som gown looked pretty, we must agree. Her red carpet entries are really eye-catchy. She is doing it just right and that’s how you make heads turn ladies. Bhumi Pednekar made it a point to grace every award show this year, big or small that there is and we love her for that. If everyone stays away from them, who will photographers go click click on? Bhumi went desi with a blue lehenga from SVA. She went for a really big jumka, which honestly looks slightly off but she carried it off well. Shilpa Shetty indulged in some power dressing with a black blazer and ankle boots paired with leopard print pants. Something was not right about that look, but we can’t really put our fingers on it! Ranveer Singh wore his charisma perfectly well and that’s all we are concerned here. Rithvik and Asha looked amazing on the red carpet while Sooraj kept it neat. But it was watching Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a suit that gave us real pleasure. The man was looking really dashing and much credit goes to that moustache of his. Dude, you should definitely keep it…suits you!

Colors strengthened its position on the number one slot while Star Plus’ viewership also increased in the second week of 2016

The BARC Ratings for Week 2 of 2016 are here. This is not much change. Colors has retained a firm hold on the top position followed by Star Plus. Naagin continues its dazzling reign on TRP charts with 5.3 points. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Kumkum Bhagya and Sasural Simar Ka are other shows that did exceptionally well.

Whether you admit it or no but it’s a fact that NO girlfriend will like her boyfriend sticking to his ex-girlfriend. Even if it’s just for the sake of a film. Promotions and a little bit of chemistry can happen on one side. But not like you are into each other, trying to rekindle the lost relationship? However, Ranbir-Deepika proved otherwise. They made sure they retain their lovey-dovey Tamasha whether it’s onscreen or off screen and soon there came reports flying that all’s not well between Ranbir and Katrina. Stuff like “Ranbir is tired of Katrina’s possessiveness”, Katrina insecure of Deepika”, started doing the rounds like there’s no tomorrow. In fact, Katrina too dropped hints on her insecurity about DP in an interview stating, “I can’t enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own. #No approval from Ranbir’s mother

You must be really blind if you haven’t noticed this evident ignorance from Neetu Singh. First, she cropped Katrina out of her family picture and this year when Kat managed to get a warm welcome into the Kapoor family during the Christmas brunch, Neetu decided to stay aloof citing she had to be there for her grand daughter in London. It seems Hollywood is keeping our favourite actress away from us…but we ain’t complaining!

Priyanka Chopra has possibly the most successful crossover to Hollywood ever, by a Bollywood actress. She plays the protagonist, Alex Parrish in the TV thriller series Quantico. The show has become a worldwide hit and also earned Priyanka a People Choice Award. The actress has been shuttling between Hollywood and Bollywood to shoot and promote different projects.

So, has her Quantico schedule been affecting her Bollywood plans? Apparently yes! Priyanka claims that the shooting schedule for the show has actually affected her Bollywood plans. “The Quantico schedule has hit my Bollywood plans for a six. I will be filming here a lot more. I’m constantly reading scripts and working 18 hours a day without breaks. I only get time to unwind on flights. I have a lot more surprises in store as a producer, wait and watch“ she told a news daily. Well, it is commendable the amount of hard work and time she is putting in. And we sure can cut her some slack for side-lining Bollywood as she is representing us across the globe. And oh so, glamorously and gracefully, she is doing that.

Priyanka is currently in Montreal shooting for the next season of Quantico. We hope she can find that perfect balance between Hollywood and Bollywood and maintain her position in both the industry. The film with its STUPENDOUS plot is getting the response it deserves…

Hardly do you get to watch a movie like Airlift these days. It not only has a highly successful commercial hero in the lead and all the ingredients of a commercial pot boilers, but also a story. Yes, you heard right. This film has a soul which we keep searching in every movie. Airlift is easily the most uplifting film you will ever see especially because patriotism didn’t turn into jingoism here. So it was only obvious for the film to rake in some good moolah from the start and it did. On its first day, the film earned 12.35 cr at the box office.

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Airlift has an IMPRESSIVE Day 1. Fri ₹ 12.35 cr. India biz. Exceptional word of mouth. Biz should multiply over the weekend.” It most definitely is impressive. Akshay’s fan power and the film’s amazing execution of a strong plot are clear winners here. Also the fact that not many were aware of such a mass evacuation by none other than India is surely making people interested in it. This is one operation which couldn’t be matched by any country in the world which definitely is a proud feeling. It is a perfect Republic Day film for everyone who even remotely feels Indian.

This Republic Day raise your voice to make a change and listen to this Khatron Ka Khiladi!

26th January is the 66th anniversary of bringing the Constitution of India into effect. While everybody is all excited for the long weekends they’d be getting, courtesy to this Republic Day, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is voicing for a very interesting campaign.

DNA has launched a campaign titled #dnaofarepublic, which is aiming at inviting people to come forward and express the changes they would like to see in our constitution. A video has been released by DNA which has Arjun Kapoor appearing in it and gleefully wishing everyone a Happy Republic Day. Further he urges people to participate in this unique campaign and share their thoughts on Twitter. From amongst the Participants who have submitted the Post, certain Posts, will be selected by a panel appointed by DNA as “Relevant Post”, at their sole discretion. The compilation of Relevant Posts will be published in DNA’s newspaper edition on January 26, 2016.

We say that there ARE many changes that need to be made in our constitution in accordance to the modernisation of the world and our updated knowledge. Arjun rightly says in the video that “India has changed a lot. Now we all have different dreams, aspirations, problems and methods but we complain a lot. So let us do something different this year”. This is a great initiative taken by news daily and we all should whole heartedly be a participant of the campaign. Who knows our leaders might actually listen to us!

Shah Rukh Khan’s son AbRam is way too adorable and it’s but natural for everyone to admire him endlessly. But Mandana Karimi, who is currently seen on Bigg Boss 9 and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3, seems to have taken her admiration to an all new level by admitting how desperate she is to romance AbRam. Yes! You wouldn’t believe but in one of her earlier interviews, she was asked what would be that one gadget she would like to invent, if at all she had to. And this AbRam ki deewani was quick enough to prompt, “It would undoubtedly be a time machine! Then I can travel to 2035 and star opposite the 22-year old AbRam Shah Rukh Khan.”

That’s not all! Karimi further added how hopeful she is to see AbRam grow up to become an even good looking star than his father SRK by saying, “I’m sure, by then he would have grown into a dashing debonair, even more handsome than his illustrious father.” Well, this clearly indicates Mandana is totally in awe of someone who’s as young as a 2 year old. Aww, how cute is her confession? We wonder what Shah Rukh Khan has to say in response to this. I’m sure he must be used to such proposals now because for all that we know, AbRam already has a female fan base who cannot stop crushing on him, every time he makes a public appearance.

The adult comedy keeps it KOOL at the box office…

The Kyaa Kool Hai Hum franchise was made to thrill and leave you in splits with its double meaning jokes. Well, the first two films did make us go ROFL. They were funny and every bit HOWLARIOUS. But the third film didn’t look as great as we would have liked. The film looks lurid. In fact, it’s not even as funny as its predecessors. However, audience always has the last say and the first day collection of the film will bring a smile on their face. The film has earned 8.15 cr in its first day!

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the collection saying, “KyaaKoolHainHum3 Fri ₹ 8.15 cr. India biz.” That definitely is a good number for the film. The high on sexual jokes in the content was supposed to be the draw here and it seems, it worked for the film. The audience are lapping up the film and its jokes. Bigg Boss 9 Mandana Karimi’s debut act is getting noticed and this will probably be a good piece of news awaiting the actress once she returns from the house. Whether or not she wins it, the fact that her debut movie made heads turn for both wrong and right reasons will definitely make her happy.

After entertaining millions across the country for more than three months, the most watched reality show Bigg Boss is about to be concluded. This season involved lots of interesting moments and a whole lot of drama too. And as the curtain falls on Bigg Boss 9, all the contestants and guests are gearing up to grace the occasion. To mark the big occasion, they have posted a series of pictures from the sets of the popular show.

In one photo, the ladies ensemble of both contestants and guests strike a pose for the camera. The contestants are Kishwer Merchantt, Yuvika Choudhary, Priya Malik and Digangana Suryavanshi. The guests gracing the occasion are famous TV actress Mouni Roy from Naagin, comedian Bharti Singh and Yeh Hain Mohabbatein’s Anita Hassanandani. There is also a photo of the ex housemates Keith Sequeira, Aman Verma, Suyyash Rai, Vikas Bhalla along with the four lady contestants. Keith is looking quite dapper in his jacket and bow-tie whereas Priya stands out with her stylish headband. All of them seem happy and excited for the big night and there is lots to be excited about.

First there is Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif coming together on the Bigg Boss stage after a long time. There is a lot to look forward to in terms of performances as well which include Salman Khan and Mouni Roy, Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira and Gautam and Mohit Gulati to name a few.

Choosing to play down the intolerance debate in India, actress Kajol on Saturday said there are no such dividing lines in Bollywood. “Our industry will always keep reflecting on what is happening in our society. It will keep on going and everyone is welcome. There are no dividing lines, no caste, no creed and no intolerance in Bollywood,” she said on the third day of the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival. Filmmaker Karan Johar, a close friend of Kajol, had kicked up a storm with his remarks about freedom of expression being the biggest joke in the country on the inaugural day of the festival.

In recent months, actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan too have landed in controversy for speaking up against the “growing intolerance” in the country. Kajol, who has worked with both Shah Rukh and Aamir, refused to react on the backlash faced by the PK star, whose controversial remarks had evoked criticism from many quarters. ”These days people seem to have become oversensitive. As public personalties it is our duty to speak well and correctly. I have always said my ‘Mann ki baat’ and it is no different now,” she said.

A voracious reader, Kajol, who was at the JLF to launch author Ashwin Sanghi’s new book, The Sialkot Saga, said she agreed to marry husband Ajay Devgan because he promised her a library similar to the one in the Hollywood film Beauty and the Beast. ”I told my husband that I’ll marry you only if you give me the Beauty and the Beast library. That was our love deal,” she said at the cover launch of Sanghi’s book.

The actor is often seen with a book between shots on the sets and she credited her mother, actress Tanuja, for inculcating the habit of reading in her. Tanuja was also in the audience. ”I don’t remember a time when I didn’t see a book around my mother. She had a 400 book library in her room right above her head. Even I have a library in my room, In fact, I have three libraries in my house,” Kajol said

Even Salman Khan, the usually engaging host, looked quite bored a numerous times. However, that doesn’t mean that the show was devoid of fights and tears, but it’s just that there was nothing new to those.

That woman actually lives in tears! Whenever there is a a fight or whenever Salman Khan berates her or plays a prank on her, the pretty lady lets out torrents of tears. So much Mandana cries, that we can’t help but feel tears have become her best weapons!

Rimi Sen

The laziest contestant Bigg Boss has ever seen in nine seasons! How this woman stuck around for several weeks before being ousted, despite showing zero interest in doing any task in a huge mystery in itself! And the lady also bawls like there is no tomorrow whenever she has to face Salman Khan!

Rochelle Maria Rao

The finalist of Bigg Boss 9 hasn’t learnt how to compose herself from her uber cool partner, Keith Sequeira. If not crying during a fight, she will be seen crying on the shoulders of her supportive boyfriend!

Priya Malik

The usually strong Priya Malik is also seen to be break down a couple of times, especially when she feels that she is the lone fighter battling against the rest of the house!

Kishwer Merchantt

Another strong female candidate who sheds a tear or two when she is the most emotionally wrought. Though she rarely cries in public, we have watched down exercise her tear ducts on the show.

Suyyash Rai

The only male contestant in the list, Suyyash is emotionally weaker than his girlfriend, Kishwer, and was seen breaking down on numerous occasions. Memorable is the instance when he let himself swayed by tears on seeing Kishwer being demeaned during the dog task!

Salman Khan yesterday seemed to be in a great mood. He greeted everyone, explained why he always finishes the episodes with ‘DO whatever you want man, but don’t trouble your mother’, made our hearts race by looking deeply into Katrina Kaif’s eyes and much more. He was the only thing that saved the show from drowning because the performances were really boring. Was he happy that the show was finally over? Psst…! Jokes apart, the actor was clearly having fun and that spilled off the camera too. Salman shared pictures with his London Dreams team and we have got to admit, they are adorable!

If you remember London Dreams, it has Salman Khan has a desi rooted to his motherland guy who sings really well. But London happens and something goes off-track. The film had Ajay Devgn too has his bestie whose insecurities get the better of him. The pictures that Salman shared has Rannvijay Singh, Ajay’s band member and Aditya Roy Kapur, another member of the band having fun in front of the camera. Two days after celebrating his birthday with the who’s who of the film industry, Sushant Singh Rajput was seen at a plush Mumbai pub late at night with fiancé Ankita Lokhande.

The couple made their way to the venue at 2:30 with a couple of friends including popular television actress Rashami Desai. Sushant, who has been shooting for the biopic on cricketer M.S.Dhoni, sported a casual tee with jeans twinning with Ankita. The actor not only entered the pub as a commoner without any bodyguards but also shook a leg with the people in the VIP section. Both Sushant and Ankita were seen in high spirits but what caught our eyes was Rashami, who recently separated from her husband. The actress not only had a swell time with her friend Ankita and was seen dancing along with everyone.

Although the pub had people from all walks of life, Sushant chose to not behave like a celebrity and was mixing with the crowd. His fiancé did not leave his side for a minute as they danced on the foot tapping music together. Now isn’t that too sweet?

We have also heard that Sushant is getting married this year and when quizzed about the same, the actor said with a smile, “I have heard the same thing.”
