Prince Narula won the ninth season of Bigg Boss which didn’t surprise many because he has been performing since the day he entered the show. On the opening day, nobody wanted to pair up with him but later when they saw this guy can complete every task, they wanted to be his partner. That’s what you call making your work speak.  Guess what people? That lad was right all along and ended up in walking home with the trophy. He flirted with every beautiful women from Yuvika Chaudhary to Nora Fatehi – saam, daam, dand bhed you see! So now that he’s won it what are his intentions about both. Well, we don’t know about Yuvika but Nora definitely features in his future plans!

Talking to a daily, Prince says, “I was and will be in love with Nora. When we were inside the house, we discussed our plans and decided to spend as much time as possible once both of us are free from the show and continue our relationship.” He also has reasons for continuing this relationship. He informs, “She brought a lot of positivity for me in the house and supported me when no one else did. I think the way we connected with each other was enough for us to understand that this is going to continue even after the show.”

Well, nice to know the man has plans for the girl he seemed so into inside the house.

Rakeysh Ompraksah Mehra’s 2006 flick starring an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth, Kunal Kapoor had a huge cultural impact. The young audience was able to connect with the characters of the films. The public ire towards corruption significantly increased.

The film finds more love second day as well…

Saying Airlift is Akshay Kumar‘s career best performance is stating the obvious. We all knew the actor had it in him to deliver a moving performance. He is one actor who despite being an outsider rose to become this superstar who did whatever he thought his fans would like. They loved him as Khiladi, he did action movies, he switched to comedy, they loved him again and now that he is doing thought-provoking films, we simply adore him. But much credit also goes to the plot and execution of Airlift. A mass evacuation of such a level was not known at all and we can’t be more proud of our country. No wonder, the film is only peaking in collections at the box office. After a superb 12.35 cr on its opening day, Airlift pocketed 14. 60 cr on Saturday taking the total to 26.95 cr!

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers saying, “#Airlift has a GOOD jump on Day 2. Is winning hearts. Winning the BO. Fri 12.35 cr, Sat 14.60 cr. Total: ₹ 26.95 cr. Sun will be better.” It definitely is winning both hearts and monies. The jump from 12.35 cr to 14.60 cr proves that if served the right content, audience doesn’t mind consuming them. So just stop blaming the audience for being formulaic. Adarsh also mentions about what Sunday can bring for the film. He posts, “#Airlift Sun biz should be EXCELLENT. Mon evening should gather momentum again since Tue is a big holiday [26 Jan]. Tue will be HUGE.”

Here’s why this season was a colossal disappointment for someone who saw Bigg Boss as the Baap of all reality shows!

At the outset, I will make an honest admission. Of all the reality shows on TV, I like Bigg Boss the least. It’s not due to the controversial nature of the content but simply because I find it extremely claustrophobic. The idea of people being holed up in a house with the unwritten guideline of creating tehelka everyday is not something that excites me.

I have friends, who have, and do religiously follow the show, spend hours chatting about it on the phone and in this era, whatsapp their views. On many occasions, I have played the perfect spoilsport by simply stating that I have no ‘freaking clue’ about what they are talking about. Despite such apathy, I have actually watched Bigg Boss! Yes, I was not the 90-day marathon runner but did the occasional sprints.

Unfortunately, this year I could not even complete the 100 meter walk, when I was expecting to fare much better than my previous outings. So, what really went wrong? This year, it was Bigg Boss Double Trouble at 10.30pm. The title suggested more fights and the new time slot hinted at more voyeurism or masala as you know it! (if anyone felt otherwise, please feel free to voice your opinions). Boy, I was excited, yeah, a little, a ‘lil’ bit.

The lack of known, famous names

The enthusiasm waned off right from the start, when the contestants’ list was announced. The declaration itself became a task, for me, as I spent hours, googling up on the names, to write about them, of course. I tore my hair as I struggled to put together 250 words on every individual. The torture was compounded by the fact that I had friends who were calling to ‘know’ who these people were. Of course, I knew Digangana Suryavanshi as the lovely Veera, Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchantt, Aman Verma but failed to understand or explain how and why they were chosen to be in Bigg Boss. It was equally difficult to explain someone like Prince Narula, who was aiming to be India’s reality show king. Woh kya hota hai, bhai! Thankfully, everyone understood why Rimi Sen was in.

The starting trouble

My fears got worse right after the launch episode, where everyone ‘co-operated’ with each other in the suitcase task. It was only Suyyash Rai, who raised his voice at the idea of sharing Rimi Sen’s clothes, who was adamant on wearing her own lingerie (wonder what Suyyash wore!). So, we had Vikas Bhalla in the same clothes for three days, Keith Sequeira looking cute in Mandana Karimi’s floral top and Arvind Vegda-Ankit Gera looking somewhat like brothers. Compared to other seasons, where contestants looked their best in the initial days, here we were not only dealing with the trauma of cross-dressing but also the yucky thought of people sharing underwear. I don’t know how many people found it entertaining, not me.

Only Double, No Trouble?

At the end of two weeks, I and many others understood that the goody-two-shoes syndrome was here to stay. Someone ought to spank the person or persons, who briefed the contestants about the show. What we saw in the first three weeks was Keith playing peacemaker, Arvind/Yuvika/Vikas discussing their sleeping/snoring woes and minor arguments over making parathas! I am not even getting down to talking about Rimi, who was giving Ph.D lessons in ‘reality show inertia’. There was a hint of tension with the Keith-Mandana-Rochelle Maria Rao angle but Kishwer and Mandana proved they could do better than them.  I am sure they were clueless about legends like Dolly Bindra, Veena Malik, Payal Rohatgi, Imam Siddique, Armaan Kohli, Kushal Tandon who proved how a strong display of individuality can truly spice up things.

Zabaan Sambhal Ke

Another major letdown for me was the language issue. We have had firangs in the house but people with accent issues make it very tough to get a hang of the proceedings. You can increase the volume but hearing Rochelle in full blast post 10.30 isn’t very easy. Haan….Maine Yeh Bola. It was not only English that found its way inside the house; there was a smattering of Iranian as well, courtesy Mandana Karimi. With so much English being thrown around, I missed the small punches that only our desi dialogues can deliver. Digangana luckily stuck to Hindi only. In fact, language woes were a huge let-down as I could hardly understand what people were saying, especially in a heated situation.

Sanskaari Couples?

The only occasions when I have discussed Bigg Boss full-on is when something masaledar has happened. I still remember the foot massages that Ravi Kishan gave to Carol Gracias on the show (They can be orgasmic as many women would tell you). There are other examples too – the pool sessions enjoyed by Rahul Mahajan and Payal Rohatgi, Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon’s fiery love and Gautam Gulati’s washroom rendezvous with Diandra Soares. Attraction, lust, romance and love makes a huge difference to how a viewer watches the show, especially those with back-breaking stressful jobs!

This season, there were two ‘seriously committed’ couples inside, two married men and one ex-couple. This automatically meant that a minimum of eight people would ‘keep to themselves’ and by my calculations – some of their close friends would too. I know actors from the TV fraternity and I feel 90 per cent of them have an intrinsic sense of self-censorship, which no TRP-raising endeavour can break. You can of course blame it on the sanskari saas-bahu shows. As expected, Suyyash and Kishwer kept it clean and Keith too (he has done a stint in Diya Aur Baati Hum) did not cross the limits of decency.

Who’s that guy?

My frustration was also felt by the makers, especially in the TRPs, which have been perhaps the lowest this season. In damage control mode, we saw the entries of Rishabh Sinha and Puneet Vashishth, two bad boys. Again, I was put to task creating their bios. I remember telling a friend repeatedly, “He (Puneet Vashishth) is Dr. Raghuvendra from Shastri Sisters. Yes, it was a daily show that airs at seven pm.” Snaps were whatsapped and references thrown. So, basically for me, it’s been a season of know your contestants!

Horror, Horror!

Then, I saw Kishwer’s dog and bone act commanded by Rishabh Sinha, and how Suyyash bore it bravely. He had patience but not me. It was bye-bye Bigg Boss 9 for me. The last thing I heard was that Priya Malik peed in her pants. Now, that’s a whole lot of SHIT to deal with!

Rishabh Sinha came very close to winning Bigg Boss 9. But even though he became the first runner-up, Rishabh is happy. Why? His mission is accomplished. “I have won people’s hearts and the audiences have loved me. That’s my biggest victory.” And in his inimitable style, he says, “baaki, it doesn’t matter.”

But one thing that Rishabh is in the news for was the numerous attempts he made to patao a girl in the house. From Yuvika Chaudhary to Digangana Suryavanshi, the TV star was linked to all. So is there someone special in his life? “Yes, there’s someone extremely special, but we are not in love yet. We like each other a lot and from here onwards, we have to see how it goes,” he says with a smile

Is it someone from the house? “No. I liked few of the contestants, but before I could patao them, someone else had developed feelings for them. So then I played wicked Sunny (remember Akshay Kumar from Mujhse Shaadi Karoge?) and became the cupid for them. So it’s no one inside the house for sure. It is someone I know before I entered the show.”

Predictably, the film’s fall begins…

Kyaa Kool Hai Hum was a franchise we sort of liked. Despite being crass, the first two films were howlarious. The puns were bang on and apart from a few flaws, they weren’t cringe attempts. But not much can be said about the third film. The trailer didn’t make us laugh at all and we were only wondering what the audience will make of it. Turns out, they didn’t find it funny at all. After a decent 8.15 cr on its first day, it slumped massively to 5.50 cr on Saturday.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#KyaaKoolHainHum3 declines on Day 2. Fri 8.15 cr, Sat 5.50 cr. Total: ₹ 13.65 cr. India biz.” It seems the cinegoers didn’t think it was comic at all, adult or no. They would rather watch something that actually serves both the elements. This perfectly proves why sequels should be made with some thought to it. Just because the first two were superhits, it doesn’t mean the franchise has to have a third one. And even if it does, some intelligent humour would have been much appreciated.

Sonam Kapoor will be the chief guest at the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony at Bombay Scottish School. However, the actress has not been invited as an alumni of the institution, or a celebrity. Instead, she has been asked to do the honours because Neerja Bhanot, who Sonam will be essaying in the forthcoming movie Neerja, was a student of the school.

Says Sonam, “I am honoured that Bombay Scottish has invited me for the flag hoisting ceremony. The hijack happened 30 years ago, and I am glad that through the film her story has re-emerged. It’s the kind of story that you would want everyone to know. It’s about doing the right thing. Something that’s very relevant in today’s day and age. We are living in dark times. There is turmoil all around us. The qualities that Neerja had, the youth should be encouraged to imbibe those. Not just to be brave, but also to stand for what they believe in.”

The actress adds that she signed the film because she identified with the braveheart, “When I signed the movie, the one thing that hit me was that she is like one of us. She is from Bombay Scottish. She’s a Mumbai girl. She is like anyone of us…young, beautiful and successful. The one thing that stands out about her is that she was very principled. She’s definitely someone who displayed many aspirational qualities.”

At the event, Sonam will be addressing the students. She explains, “Republic Day is also about celebrating people who have done something for the country. And Neerja was all of 23. If you had asked me two years ago about whom I looked up to I would have taken other names, but now I really admire Neerja. She was a girl who came from a family that would seem ordinary, but went to on to do something that was absolutely extraordinary. I want to emphasise on that. She proved that anyone can be a superhero. Kids look up to Superman and Spider-Man who have special powers, and that’s why we need to tell them about people like them who have done extraordinary things. We should be extremely proud that a 23-year-old Indian girl had such extraordinary courage.”

Fans of the show felt that Bhai was unusually out of form this season!

Well, Bigg Boss 9 is finally over and it’s time for some retrospection. We are sure the makers will also think over some issues. Besides the usual complaints, a lot of people have been talking about how host Salman Khan was not his usual self this year. The actor who due to his sparkling wit, spontaneity and charm is seen as the perfect anchor for the controversial show seemed to be somewhat spaced out. We list down some of the common complaints people had from Salman this year…

Low style quotient
While Bhai has a loyal fan base when it comes to films, for many TV viewers the main attraction of Bigg Boss was Bhai. As we all know, he has a landmark project coming up next year – Sultan. The actor has been preparing his body for the wrestler’s role. He has gained in bulk and got rid of his cool haircut. Salman’s in-transition body isn’t exactly attractive and the exhaustion has been showing on his face. The fresh-faced host we saw in previous years went missing and that stuck out more sorely due to the lackluster proceedings inside the house.

Disinterested look
Many felt the actor did not show the same level of interest into the proceedings as he did in earlier years. It could be that he was very tired from his Sultan prep to invest more time on the show or just that he was mentally drained. At times, he seemed to be in a different zone altogether.

Zero novelty factor
This year the theme was Double Trouble. There were a lot of expectations that Salman would do something different as the host. However, the entire format was too repetitive and Bhai did not offer anything new.

Lack of spontaneity
Now, we this is simply unforgivable. It is an open secret that Salman rarely relies on the script when it comes to his shows. Every year, we have had the actor coming up with his witty one-liners on the show. It was one of the best aspects of Bigg Boss. We wonder where was the dialoguebaazi and masti this year? The show looked too scripted.

No big bashes
Every year, we have seen Bhai losing his cool very badly on at least one of the contestants. This year, no one barring Mandana Karimi, got any verbal whiplash from him. They were busy screaming at each other, at times, for trivial reasons.

On the sets of Vishal Bharadwaj’s Rangoon, during the first day of shooting, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut broke the ice by discovering that they are both vegetarians. Until this day they had hardly shot together and there had been only formal hellos between them on the set.

Says an eye-witness, “In a conversation about food during a sequence where both have to eat whatever is available to them, Kangana said, ‘I hope the food is vegetarian’ to which a Shahid asked her if she was one. She admitted she had been vegetarian for the last couple of years and had really calmed down since then, apart from losing weight. They even discussed vegetarian meals that give strength and exchanged other food conversations.”

Shahid said being a vegetarian had changed him completely as a person. His being a vegetarian is a well known fact considering he has been sexiest vegetarian in PETA poll. Quite a vegetarian conversation, no?

Also starring Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, Rangoon is basically a melange of inspiration derived from Casablanca with the musical charm of Moulin Rouge and it also holds intense drama of Saving Private Ryan. It is set against the backdrop of World War II and is scheduled to release on September 30, this year!

Well, the Kolaveri Di boy has seriously reached some new heights here. The actor, who is raved in South for his killer dialogue delivery and witty persona, will now be seen in a Hollywood flick. And not as a supporting lead but the f-ing protagonist himself! Now that’s something really huge. Quite an unexpected turn of events, I must say. Son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth, Dhanush has sprung out quite well in the open. Making his career stupendously in South and moving to Bollywood, he has now managed to bag a Hollywood flick to. Being the lead in itself is a huge thing but the film will also star Uma Thurman and that just means it’s gonna be awesome AF!

Directed by Iranian French director Marjane Satrapi, the film will also star Alexandra Daddario (of San Andreas fame). Titled The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard, the story revolves around a conjurer, Aja, from a forgotten Indian colony of artists, who is sent to Paris on a secret mission by his mother. Marjane is super excited for this film and the fact that the protagonist is an Indian magician who is witty, funny and full of grace. The shooting scheduled to start by mid 2016 and will take place in parts of India, France, Italy and Morocco. When asked why she chose Dhanush for this role, Marjane said, “As I was watching various Indian movies, Dhanush became the most obvious choice – his intelligence, his killer smile, his ability to enter fully into the skin of the character he played (and I can go on and on forever) made me confident that he was the one.”

So the Bigg Boss 9 finale was a big celebration for several reasons altogether. One, and I’m not trying to be rude here, but finally the reality show came to an end. And you’ll agree with me when I say that it was a very disappointing season thanks to wrong choice of contestants. Second reason for a big celebration was of course that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were coming together on the Bigg Boss platform after a long long time. Too much to celebrate no? But while there was a lot that happened behind the scenes, several of the wonderful shots weren’t really aired by the channel. One of them was Salman Khan’s cute gesture for ex girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

Well, Ranbir and Katrina’s breakup was quite a sensational one thanks to the reasons speculated. But what was even more interesting was Katrina’s friendliness with Salman Khan. So when Salman announced that Katrina and the Fitoor team were to make an appearance in the finale of Bigg Boss, it created a fervour of anticipation. Knowing that Aditya Roy Kapur’s role in Fitoor is that of a painter, Bhai asked Adi to sketch Katrina’s face. However, Aditya could only manage to draw the eyes and the rest of the portrait was completed by Salman himself! As you can see already, the sketch was quite serene and did resemble Katrina slightly.

A source was quoted saying, “The shoot began only in the afternoon around 4 pm since Salman was busy rehearsing till late in the night. Katrina along with Aditya Roy Kapur, Tabu and the director of their upcoming film, Abhishek Kapoor, arrived at around 1 pm and headed straight to Salman’s chalet where they spent a couple of hours before heading to the set with Salman’s rumoured steady date, Iulia Vantur, sitting in the audience.”

A leading tabloid also reported that Salman and Kat had a nice chat before the shoot began and as soon as the cameras started rolling, Bhai reminded everyone about Valentine’s Day with this curious question of their plans. “He even jokingly warned Aditya not to get too close to Kat as he’s protective about her,” said the source. Wow! Looks like the channel forgot to add these amazing scenes when they aired the finale. But the budding closeness between Salman and his ex bae Katrina is quite open. She was in Hyderabad shooting for a Telugu film…

Malyalam actress Kalpana Ranjani, popularly known as Kalpana, passed away on Monday at the age of 51 in Hyderabad. The sister of film actresses Urvashi and Kalaranjini, Kalpana was reportedly found unconscious in her hotel room. She was then rushed to the Apollo hospital where doctors declared her dead. Kalpana was in Hyderabad for the shooting of a Telugu film. She is suspected to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

Kalpana won National award for the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Thanichalla Njan. She made her debut in MT Vasudevan Nair’s Manj in 1983 and since then worked in over 300 movies. She was known for comic roles, especially in Malayali cinema. She recently made a music album with Usha Uthup. Kalpana also published her memoir Njan Kalpana. The actress has also hosted several talk shows and interviews on Malayalam TV Channels. She frequently appears as a Judge in Asianet’s Comedy Reality show Vodafone Comedy Stars. Kalpana was last seen in Khaaki Sattai as Siva Karthikeyan’s mother. She was married to Malayalam film director Anil Kumar, however she got divorced in 2012. Their only daughter Sreemayi was staying with her.

Everyone who followed Bigg Boss 9 would definitely be under impression that “lonely” Mandana Karimi had no one to support this season. While she was ridiculously hated by all her co-contestants. Even her family didn’t come much in support as they neither conveyed any special messages nor sent in any gifts while she was inside the house. In fact, things got even suspicious when reports came suggesting how her boyfriend too is planning to ditch her at the finale! Well, but wait until you hear this other side of the story. Apparently, the Colors channel intervened and deliberately kept Mandana’s family/boyfriend away from her, throughout this season. Yes, can you believe it?

I got in touch with Mandana soon after the finale and the actress was shocked to hear that there were speculations suggesting the channel is favoring her on Bigg Boss 9. She clarified it on record saying “They haven’t been so kind to me. See inside the house what happens is, the clothes that your family sends, it comes whenever Bigg Boss decides. So sometimes you don’t have clothes. And I am one of the people inside the house who has lived 15 weeks with 4-5 pair of my outfits. And the channel people weren’t that nice to me. My family sent a lot of gifts during Diwali, Christmas. I didn’t receive anything. It’s when I got evicted and came out of the show, I realised yeh sab saaman kidhar tha?” And they were like sorry, it was the part of the game. So me feeling lonely wasn’t like a strategy or anything. Bigg Boss people weren’t being sweet to me. And if everyone’s gone and said oh! Mandana is going to win the show because channel is supporting then I’m sorry, that’s not true.”

She adds, “If you saw during Christmas there was a game which went on for two days. And apparently they didn’t let my family come and visit me. Bigg Boss probably said some random time and when they said can we come this time, the channel said ‘NO’. So please, it’s not like the channel decides the winner, no way is it true.”

Over the last few days, Shah Rukh Khan has been busy completing Raees and Fan, but the actor managed to take some time off his busy schedule and was spotted partying with wifey Gauri Khan at a popular night club in Mumbai Usually the IT couple is captured partying or rather spending time along with their kids Aryan, Suhana and AbRam, but this time the hubby and wife chose to spend some ‘WE’ time. Awwdorable, Isn’t it?

SRK and Gauri matched their outfits as they both wore their favourite black. Gauri looked beautiful as always and was all smiles with the Dilwale actor around her. The best part is the husband wife partied at Zoo – a pop up night club at St. Regis which is personally designed by Gauri and is set according to the night theme.

Apart from the jodi, Athiya Shetty, Kriti Sanon, Sooraj Pancholi, Abhishek Kapoor and Varun Sharma were also present at the party.

The film features her as a heroic cop battling corruption in a small Bihar town. After supporting roles in a string of films from Barfi to Bajirao Mastani, for Priyanka Jai Gangaajal seemed like a showcase to shine in a heroine-centric role.

From bagging her first award for her American TV show to being one of the Padma Award winners, actress Priyanka Chopra says she is living a dream and the national honour is a result of her hard work. ”From Dil Dhadakane Do to Bajirao Mastani to getting People’s Choice award for Quantico and now Padma Shri…I can’t explain in words what emotions I am going through. I think I am living my dream,” Priyanka, who is currently in Montreal, told PTI over the phone. ”I think it’s all the benefit of working hard. I don’t take my job for granted,” she said. Priyanka will be conferred with Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour. She became the first South Asian actor to win People’s Choice Awards (Favourite actress) for her American TV show Quantico earlier this month.

“I am happy… excited that this honour came my way. It has been a good year for me. The start has been great. I am grateful to people who have acknowledged my work. Being the daughter of an army officer, this honour makes it more special,” Priyanka said. The 33-year-old actress said she was elated to be among the illustrious personalities from films, arts and culture field who have received the national honour. “I am excited and happy to be in the illustrious list of people and getting the award,” she said. The actress-singer said awards are an acknowledgement of an artists’ work and with honours comes a responsibility to do better work. ”I think with the award comes encouragement to do better and good work. There is a responsibility to perform better. I am happy (that) I am acknowledged for the work that I have done,” she said.

He deserved it long back and we can prove why…

Ajay Devgn has been one actor who decided to do meaningful films early on in his career despite the fact that his action films were a rage. In the midst of all maar dhaad movies, he did a Dilwale where he played a mentally unstable guy who was denied his love. Till today, his performance gives us goosebumps. Zakhm bowled us over. He was just terrific as a son trying to save his Muslim mother in a riot torn city. The range of emotions he exhibited in the film made us ask for more. And then came his gritty Gangaajal and we became his unconditional fan. Yet the man continued doing commercial entertainers to serve to all kinds of fans. He can whet the movie appetite of both the masses and the classes. Yet the honour of Padmashri came so late for him. Let us give you five reasons why he deserved it long back…

1. Every genre is his genre

He debuted as an action hero although Phool Aur Kaante had a many things rolled into one – romance, corruption, father-son relationship and action. But he wasn’t here to be restricted to just one genre. In 1994, he played a mentally unstable guy in Dilwale and won us over multiple times. Later, he did Zakhm, Gangaajal and others to show what a fine actor he is. But the moment industry decided to peg him as a serious actor, he came out with Golmaal series and we were left in splits. Have you seen such variety in any actor these days?

2. National Award twice over

Credible actors deserve credit for their incredible efforts. Ajay Devgn got too. Not once but twice the jury at the National Awards committee felt this man deserved to be honoured. Zakhm and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh won him two National Awards and we were glad. Two films on Bhagat Singh were jostling to get audience’s attention then by releasing on the same day but we agree, Devgn’s version was the best one. And two national awards prove our point!

3. Backing regional cinema

Today everyone’s turning a producer but how many devote time to Regional cinema especially Marathi Cinema which in last couple of years, has delivered gems like Balak Palak, Time Pass, Paaus, Elizabeth Ekadeshi and others. Ajay plunged into Marathi Cinema with Vittu Dandu which dealt with a beautiful relationship between a grandfather and a grandson in the backdrop of pre-independent India.

4. Multi-talented individual

Ajay Devgn is not just an actor with amazing talent. But a producer as well who has a knack of understanding what works for the audience. He started with a kids film Raju Chacha, moved on to a serious U Me Aur Hum, graduated to light- hearted comedy All The Best, Bol Bachchan, Son of Sardaar, chest-thumping cop film Singham Returns and a technologically advanced Shivaay which is slated to release this year. Apart from that, Ajay is also a commendable director with U Me Aur Hum and now Shivaay under his belt. Phew! How does he manage so much…

5. Controversy? Not interested!

Hardly have you heard Ajay Devgn getting into any kind of controversy. His public statements don’t even become national concern. His tiff with actors from the industry is also unheard of because this man has often admitted that he isn’t friends with everyone in the industry. When he got into a clash with YRF with Son Of Sardaar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, he maintained that Shah Rukh Khan was never his friend but that doesn’t mean they are sworn-in enemies. Even today, he maintains the same statement. He knows how to steer clear of controversy and do what he is here for. A no nonsense guy…!

Don’t you now agree that someone who is so talented and has been around for so many years, deserved the recognition much earlier? But then, it’s better late than never!

The actor plays a wrestler in the film and since the film showcases three phases of the wrestler’s life, Aamir will have to make the necessary weight changes to look authentic.
