Yes, Shesha will take Shivaanya’s place in the Raheja household!

One of the highlights of Naagin is the romantic track between Ritik (Arjun Bijlani) and Shivaanya (Mouni Roy). Viewers just love their nok-jhok and mushy moments, where he can’t get enough of her. However, in the coming episodes, we will see Ritik romancing Shesha (Adaa Khan).

Yes, in the coming episodes we will see Shivaanya going off in search of her parents’ killers. She will be injured and won’t be able to reach home in time. Ritik will be tensed and in panic mode. In order to calm him down, Shesha will assume Shivaanya’s form. This will create some problem for her as Ritik will start romancing her. However, she will manage to distance herself from him and also look for clues inside the house. Both the actresses will be shown wearing identical white sarees with red lipstick and gajra.

Further on, Shivaanya will suffer a fatal blow when Ritik hits her with a knife during a pooja at their temple. She will be injured in her Ichhadhari Naagin avatar. Shivaanya will rush to the Shiv Temple, where the priest will say that it is only her husband who can save her. Shivaanya will prefer to die rather than expose her true self before Ritik.

In the mean time, the Ichhadhari Nevla (Rajat Tokas) is trying to kill both Shivaanya and Shesha. We have seen how he has been assigned the job by Suri’s (Mazhar Sayyed) wife, who holds the Naagin responsible for her husband’s death. More drama, suspense and romance will set the tone for the show.

Kangana calls the Mojenjo Daro star her ex and accuses him of ‘doing silly things to get her attention’!

The fiery actress Kangana Ranaut has spoken again and this time she calls out Hrithik Roshan her ‘ex’! Boy, this revelation will sure set a lot of tongues wagging in the B-town again. Kangana always has been a bit of a motormouth and has never been inhibited about her life!

The director has not made only two movie so far

In the past few years, there has been a trend of South directors making it big in B-town. Filmmakers like Prabhu Deva brought back the 90s masala flick trend once again with movies like Wanted, Action Jackson, Rowdy Rathore and R…Rajkumar. Then came along SS Rajamouli whose multilingual epic Baahubali made a tremendous impact on Bollywood and entire Indian cinema. There is also A.R.Murugadoss, who gave super-hits like Ghajini and Gabbar is Back. Of course one can never forget Mani Ratnam, who has been a successful director across many languages for a long time with many notable contributions like Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Yuva and Guru. And with Saala Khadoos about to hit the screens, the question that is on everyone’s mind is, can director Sudha Kongara Prasad emulate these great filmmakers.

Sudha Kongara Prasad is a name that is not very well known. She is a kind of director who hasn’t ventured much in mainstream movies. Though, she does have a few impressive qualifications under her belt. Sudha is not restricted to direction, but has been a successful screen writer too. In fact, her debut attempt at the same was the film Mitr, My Friend which won the Best English Film of the year at the National Film Awards. Another advantage that Sudha has is that she worked under the legendary Mani Ratnam as an assistant director for Guru.

But in terms of direction, she is yet to show any big result. She has made only two movies so far, Andhra Andagadu in Telugu and Drohi in Tamil which did not receive much attention or praise.

However, Raj Kumar Hirani must have seen something in her to place such trust and producing her directorial attempt after 6 years. We hope that both Saala Khadoos and Irudhi Suttru are a resounding success and that her career finally kicks off.

Rumour mills are abuzz with the news that the two are in love

It is not unusual for TV couples to discover love ‘on location’. After all, the long working hours leave young actors with hardly any time to meet people out of work. The latest duo to fall prey to Cupid on the sets is reportedly Vishal Aditya Singh and Shivangi Joshi, who play Lakhan and Poonam on the show. Rumour mills are abuzz with how these two are head over heels in love with each other.

The actor celebrated his birthday recently and Shivangi was also in attendance. An insider informs that she got a cake specially made for him on this occasion. There is also buzz that actress Rati Pandey, who is a close friend of Vishal is playing Cupid between the two.

Earlier, Vishal had said in an interview, how his character felt quite protective of Poonam. We guess the feeling has translated in real life as well. The two actors are said to be extremely good friends off screen and have bonded over time.

Incidentally, their love story on the show wasn’t a smooth one. Poonam was earlier in love with Priyom (Sartaj Gill) but was forced to marry Lakhan. Rishi Kapoor is literally the king of taking DIGS at people. And once you’re under his sarcastic spell, you’ll definitely get a taste of how humorously he burns you. I’d say he’s the most entertaining veteran actor because he’s so in sync with today’s generation and Twitter especially! His tweets always manage to garner so much attention and it is all worth it. Rishi could actually be your daily dose of laughter that you seem to miss due to the rat race. Okay, I’ll cut out the praises and go straight to what he did this time. If you remember, only recently did we post that he took a dig at the awards shows and Parineeti Chopra about it being lobbied.

But this one has nothing to do with that. His next target is Alia Bhatt. Technically she’s not a target as much as he is. So a guy put up an old picture of Rishi Kapoor, presumably from his Bobby days and captioned it, “Alia Bhatt in 1970.” Wow! Looks like someone took a dig at the King of digs! However, Rishi also knows how to take jokes and he replied, “Hilarious. I am Alia Bhatt in1970s lol.” Even I would’ve gone lol if I were tagged in such an image. Surprisingly, the resemblance is quite a lot. Maybe Rishi also knew that and hence he went along with the joke. This just proves that the witty humorous Rishi is sporty too!

The actor urged his colleagues to refrain from politics

Considering the Bollywood celebrities who have made it to the Padma awardees’ list this year, “it’s good that I did not get one”, says veteran actor-writer Kader Khan. This year, names like Rajinikanth, Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Madhur Bhandarkar, SS Rajamouli, Udit Narayan and Malini Awasthi, among others, are in Padma awardees’ list.

The ever-versatile actor also hinted that “flattering” the movers and shakers in Lutyens’ Delhi could be one of the reasons behind his colleagues getting the honour. On being told the names of the industry colleagues who won Padma awards this year, the 79-year-old actor said, “… it’s good that they did not give me a Padma Shri. I have neither flattered anyone in my life, nor will I ever. I don’t want these awards if they have been given to people (in the industry) who got it this time.”

Kader believes “an award is a no big thing, but its importance lies in the people it has been conferred upon. Earlier, there was a certain honesty in these awards but it’s not the same case now. People have now forgotten to respect others and have become way too selfish. I would think that I was not as capable as those who were chosen for the Padma awards this year. I, however, thank all those who proposed my name for it,” Khan added.

Khan, who has regaled the audience with his comic side in films like Himmatwala, Aankhen and Coolie No.1 among several other entertainers, also urged actors to refrain from indulging in politics. “I would like to urge all the actors to return from the politics. ‘Laut aao, politics tumhari manzil nahi hai’ (Come back, politics is not your destination). It is only breaking you.” Khan, who it seemed was finding it difficult to speak due to his old age-related illness, sounded especially upset with actor Anupam Kher, who has been named for a Padma Bhushan. “What has he done except singing praises for (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi,” he asked.

“I am not contesting the government’s decision of conferring him with the award but the only thing I want to know is the credentials that I lacked for it (the award),” Khan, who termed audiences’ love for him the biggest honour, said. The central government on January 25 announced the list of Padma awardees, and it led to an outcry on the social media over Kher’s inclusion in it. In a tweet that he posted in 2010, he had questioned the authenticity of the Padma awards.

Kher, whose wife Kirron Kher is a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Chandigarh, is of late seen posturing with the Narendra Modi government. He also led a ‘Tolerance March’, criticising artistes across the spectrum who indulged in ‘Award Wapsi’ as a mark of protest against growing intolerance in the country. In fact, Malini Awasthi and Madhur Bhandarkar were also on the forefront of the march with Kher.
Just last year, various actors and directors in B-Town had proposed Khan’s name for a Padma Shri award. And back then, he had acknowledged the efforts by his colleagues of “demanding” the honour for him.

“If the government feels that I have done good work, it will honour me. It’s people’s love that they are demanding it for me,” Khan had said then. On the big screen, the veteran actor was last seen in Fauzia Arshi-directed, Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi.

Himesh Reshammiya is back as an actor with Teraa Surroor, the sequel to his earlier sleeper hit Aap Kaa Surroor. Yesterday, we saw the trailer of the LETHAL love story which left us in a daze. That’s because we couldn’t really make much of what Himesh is feeling in the film as he just had one expression on his face. Even in intense sequences, his expressions didn’t give away anything. It could be intentional. May be that’s needed in the film. Today, the first song of the film Main woh chaand released which confirmed our guess. That could be the only reason behind Himesh’s stern emotions in nearly every scene in this sad track.

On the other hand, Farah Karimaee, the lead actress in the film, has kept it very real. She shows anger, pain, solitude and loss with equal affect. The song is sung by Darshan Raval and the music is by Himesh himself. We must say the song tugs your heart strings. If you don’t consider the visuals, the soothing lilting track that hits a part in your heart which has bottled up emotions looking for a vent. It’s a perfect melancholic melody.

AR Murugadoss is one of the most respected names and well known directors in Kollywood. The veteran director has given us blockbusters like Dheena, Ghajini and Thuppakki. Lately, he has been venturing away from K-town and moving towards Bollywood. After making a debut with the Hindi remake of Ghajini starring Aamir Khan in 2008, Murugadoss remade Thuppakki into Akshay Kumar starrer Holiday. He very recently finished his shoot for Akira which features Sonakshi Sinha, and now has his sights on Tollywood.

There is no better way to re-enter the Telugu film industry than to make a film with superstar Mahesh Babu. That’s right, the Ghajini director is now planning to work with the Prince, as Mahesh babu’s fans love to call him, as soon as Mahesh wraps up the shoot for Brahmotsavam. There is also an interesting rumour surrounding this as of yet untitled project that, this will be the most expensive Murugadoss film yet. According to a news report, the budget will be in Rs 85-90 crore range, which is a massive budget for a Telugu movie. If the report is accurate then it will mean that this project shall become the second most expensive film, falling just behind Baahubali. The other cast details, name and genre of the movie remain unknown as of now.

Other than the significant budget, this movie will also mark the re-entry of the director in Tollywood after 2006, when he made Stalin starring Chiranjeevi. Talk about coming back with a bang!

Bollywood is made up of many couples who stay together for a brief time and then head for a separation. It is even more likely if both of them are celebrities as many factors come into play leading to a divorce. In those terms, one of the most longest standing jodi has been that of Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan and his model wife Malaika Arora Khan.The two have been together for ages and even have a teenage son. The sequel to Bollywood film ‘Fukrey’ will go on the floors here in August with the original cast including Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha.

Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, 2013 film ‘Fukrey’ narrated the story of how four friends meet an array of colourful characters — be it a tough Punjabi gangster or a watchman famous for his hacks — as they chase their dreams. Sidhwani made the announcement of the sequel via a statement.

“When we were promoting ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, we were constantly being asked why we aren’t spinning sequels since several of our films could lend themselves to franchises. Since the characters of ‘Fukrey’ became really popular, we have decided to retain the original cast, along with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba,” Sidhwani said.

Characters like Hunny, Choocha, Zafar, Lali and Bholi Punjaban from the coming-of-age comedy film made a special place for themselves in the hearts of the audience.

The thought of the sequel was a spontaneous one as Sidhwani and writer Lamba were discussing another script. It got Sidhwani excited.

Sidhwani added: “The story will take the characters’ lives forward but everything else will remain the same. We don’t want to change the north Indian setting.”

Meanwhile, Sidhwani is currently geared up for his films “Rock On 2”, “Baar Baar Dekho” and Shah Rukh Khan-starer ‘Raees‘.

When Arjun Kapoor first entered Bollywood, everybody saw him as son of big-shot producer Boney Kapoor. Nobody had imagined that he would make such a massive impact. But then he made his debut in 2012 with Ishaqzaade and he hasn’t looked back since. He was even nominated for a Filmfare for his role of Parma Chauhan in the movie. And he just kept getting better and better with excellent performances in movies like Aurangazeb, Two States and Gunday. Today, he has made a name for himself and his Twitter following is evidence to that.

As Arjun Kapoor’s Twitter followers hit the two million mark, the Bollywood star sent out love to his virtual family, saying that he is nothing without his fans.

“I am nothing without all of you… Thank you people for so much love… All my 2 million friends you guys are amazing,” Arjun tweeted.

The actor, who is the son of producer Boney Kapoor, also shared a collage of his sketches made by his fans, which sent out a message – ‘A big thank you to my 2 million fans and counting’.

Meanwhile, the “Gunday” star is looking forward to entering the small screen screen space with his stint as a host of “Khatron Ke Khiladi- Kabhi Keeda Kabhi Peeda”. And he has also a film with Kareena Kapoor Khan – “Ki and Ka”– lined up for the box-office this year.

If the promos of his reality show are anything to go by, then it looks like Arjun will make a great host and there is no stopping the dynamic actor.
